I recently bought the FX Impact M3. The Ghost was on the shortlist but, I opted for the FX purely because I wanted some adjustability - not to over step the 12ft lb mark but to ensure I was under it and, find the best fps number the gun/pellet combo would work with. Your videos have helped me understand how to achieve this, thank you - I’m now addicted to your channel
This is a very helpful video for me as i have power issues, thanks for sharing . One thing i have noticed is that when I'm holding the rifle near where the bottle is attached, when i fire i can feel a small blast of air on my hand, is this normal and the shroud is back venting or do you think something is wrong ? Regards Ian
@@gooderspitman8052 You were 100% right, I am really happy with my Ghost HP in .22 caliber.....I was so happy with it I bought another one in .30 caliber....Both are super accurate and have a wow factor that is thru the roof!!!
While I live on the other side of the pond and don't have to worry about the 12 ft/lb limit, I still learn a great deal from these well thought out videos, plus the great machining content as well.
Enjoyed a chat with you at the shooting show also nice to meet the Crawley team, will definitely be giving them some business as got a very good response, enjoyed the video as usual 👍
Awesome video that happen to me on my fx m3 22 cal i guess i left the mag in the gun when i was changing out my 700mm barrel to a 800mm barrel well a 34 grain slug fell inside where the value rod is at in the rear block where shoots out lol and i could not figure it out why it was shooting very low....i guess the probe pushed a slug inside when i figured it out i was very happy but i did have to change out the valve rod because it got all bent up 😭 thanks for sharing be safe buddy 💯
Hi great video btw also I noticed the flip up covers on your scope are they push on rubber covers if so can you tell me where you got them please as I have an Optisan EVX 4-16-44i and I can’t seem to get original spares.
It’s a Vortex Optics scope and it’s the only flip up covers they offer. Whereas say a Hawke has screw on covers Vortex decided to sell push on ones as they argue they will not fall off in the field. They sell them based upon the objective and ocular lens size.
@@paulblundell8033the optisan/Mtc screw on covers are nice and slim looking not bulky like push on BUT they always screw on and stop at a position that's not wanted
Great video. I might need to get in touch with BRK about mine then. Got it new just before Christmas and it's shooting at around 10.9 ft lb and 687 fps with JSB heavy's. Don't want to invalidate my warranty messing with it my self. The spec sheet I got with said 11.4 ft lb with 8.44 grain pellets.
Great content video as usual. BRK Ghost purchased 3 weeks back 90 percent based on your review. loving the gun so far.. Any upcoming videos of your time at the shooting show ?
Help please.im having a bit of a problem with the cocking lever being stiff on my ghost on the last part of cycle as it pulls hammer back.ive followed your breakdown video.but nothing obvious. Was wondering if there's anything you could recommend to check. Thank you..any help would be much appreciated. Keep up the great work👍
hi if you take the cheek piece off and loosen the hex bolts, the last 6 or 8 at the back of the gun the ones that hold the top rail on if the cocking gets better then re tighten the bolts gradually checking the cocking as you go😀
My .177 fac At 160bar and shooting KO 13.43 I get 930 fps no matter if wheel is on minimum or max. I can only adjust speed with regulator. So using the powerwheel to adjust speed depends on which spring is mounted from factory
I will speak to the person who owes them a drink and see if we can upgrade this to breakfast 😊 The interesting thing is a few people had posted about pellets dropping into the mechanism and causing issues but Geoff and Jake had not experienced it. The gun was being used on the bench with the single shot loader and was swapped to the magazine and the POI moved about an inch. Obviously blamed the magazine but all three available did it plus the single shot loader. Not sure how the pellet fell back on a horizontal gun but at least we have experienced the issue and can show it’s easy to fix.
I’m sure they can add more details but recently at the range a Ghost owner had a new to them used Ghost. Running it over the chrono showed it was probably nearly half power. Flipping it over to the correct orientation took it up to 11.5. It is easily done and whoever owned it before had not put it back right ( they had stripped it down to cerakote bits of the gun ). I think they mention about this in their main strip down and rebuild video.
yes the probe can be fitted in 2 positions 1 transfer port hole up and 2 transfer port down if it's fitted with the hole up it will still shoot but very low power 😀 thanks for watching 😀
The video surely has no actual use for me - but it always surely is interesting no matter what. Always as informative and well made videos.👍🏻 Now off to the tool shop to ask for a Sharp Pointy Thing -tool.. Just to see if they provide me the tool used in the video..🤣🤣 (Oh man, the sharp pointy thing tool is always making me smile for myself..😁😆) Oh man. Love these videos! So good.😊👍🏻
Air arms S510 detail take down - i have one of these - best most accurate - seem to have air leaking -it has been hare to find any detailed schematics or disassemble guide - you did a 400/410 - would like to know if that is close - also do you have any place for O ring kit S510 Xtra fac 22 - very impressed with your videos - thanks
My Ghost has a grub screw blocking a flat blade from adjusting the regulator pressure. I have tried to remove the grub screw, but can't find a tool that fits it. Any ideas?
How was the fair? From the videos you can see that it was busy Epic two, Rti Mora seem interesting and some others, I'm sorry but it is a shame at least for me that a rifle like Brocock has so many things to keep an eye on since its value is considerable apart from not having your skill and patience, thank you. Sorry, I have read the comments and the problem of dirt caused by small pellets in the Ghost is not an isolated problem, I'm sorry.
But the point of the video is show what might cause a gun to drop in power and where to look. This can happen on any gun ( I know by experience ) and the point was to show where to look and possible remedies. Some guns are very hard to work on and diagnose where the BRK Ghost is pretty simple. It’s worth noting that this gun used the old design PRS single shot loader which has been replaced and the likelihood is that the original design could cause pellets to fall back into the mechanism. The SSL is not included with the gun and is a 3rd party add-on which like most things doesn’t show any flaws until it’s used more rather than just in R&D. It would be interesting to see how many o-rings are used on the Ghost to say the FX M3 ( and might fail )
Thank you, it's a relief because it appeals to me and I'm glad that they improve the way things work, waiting for the update of the new Slug cannon, do you know something else, greetings.@@paulblundell8033
Hi need some help I purchased a kalibf cricket 2 tactical .177 like the one you had I have tried various different pellets and I am only getting 10.3 to 10.6 ft lbs out of it can you adjust the hammer spring on these for more power if so how do you do it or should I take it back to the shop as it’s under power I have only had it 3 days here’s hoping you can help cheers
Great video as always. Whoever the idiot was who got the pellet in the trigger mechanism has helped you produce some great content. I do wonder this is why PRS changed the design of the SSL though I do prefer the flip out design compared to the newer rotary one.
excellent run through mate . i like the fact that gun is pretty easy to work on 👍 . 🤣🤣🤣 crono set wrong pellet weight 🤣🤣🤣 done that been there that’s for sure 🤣🤣🤣🤣
if has lost power over time it could be the breach seal if it has always been low it may need the reg tweaking up or a power washer fitting on the hammer spring
