- As corn harvest winds down, I take the 9650 south and combine our Channel Xtend soybean plot with our DSM. Rain is coming so we fill everything as much as we can before quitting for the night.

In all seriousness, I couldn’t be more excited that Bethany and other ‘farm focused’ women are adding to the agricultural industry. More than likely they have to put up with some chauvinistic nonsense, but that just goes to show the type of strong character these women have.

pvat316 you do? Or your family does? South Valley soils are a little heavy for getting the beans in the ground soon enough. Albany area farmers have tried no-tilling them in with little success. This year I think we could have done it with irrigation. Today’s is the first day we have had measurable precipitation since April. You north valley guys have been hogging it all.
Adam Kruskama its a family farm and my family plants them. I focus more on our pigs than the crops we grow. We are about to stop with the soybeans i believe. I think we are going to do corn and wheat from now on

If my Grandfather was still alive😇 and farming I'd sure like to know what his thoughts would be on how farming is these days! He was a dairy farmer and use to do almost everything on his own. I would go up and help for 2 weeks every summer when I was in school. BEST time of my life spending time with him😔 Great job making it rain 🌽😂🤣👍

Whelp, looks like I am planting Soybeans in my yard next year.
Must feel good to be getting close to the end or could you use another 100K bushels to make some profit. We did one 1/4 mile circle 3 weeks a go and waiting for soil to firm up from 4 inches of rain in early October. I got my corn sold for $4.25 but have to deliver to collect the check.

This is a good marketing strategy for the seed company. "How do we sell more seed?" "I dunno, let's hire a bunch of attractive farm girls to go out and sell the seed." Months later, sales have skyrocketed.
