I have Texas Special pick-ups on my custom Telecaster I built and I love them. I chose them because they are the same as on the Merle Haggard Tough dog Telecaster. I wanted the best that Fender has to offer. I have a 4way switch for series wiring and I use a 1meg volume control to bring out the best in sound. I would not have any other pickups in my Telecaster. I used the best of everything in my guitar
Ive just bought a tele with Tex Specials so I came here to hear the tone....and I have the same amp head (close enough - Ive got it's slightly bigger brother).... cant wait for it to arrive now!!!! Awesome tone, bro!
I had a '78 Tele that I wish I never sold. It was too heavy, but sounded great. You pickups sounds great in your Tele. I never could get Texas Specials to sound good in my Stratocasters.
I think you'll be happy. If you feel your tele needs a bit more girth, but want to retain the characteristics of a tele...these are the pups to get! Hope you enjoy em
Loaded my TL52 MIJ with pair of these. Neck is ok, but bridge ruins overall telecaster wibe. My MIM stock stratocaster has more lo end on a bridge than this. It's a shame
Put the same pickups in my fender American Pine pro II and LOVE them. My fave Tele pickups.

This is exactly what I needed to see, and now I’m sold … I even use the same amp lol thanks dude! Great playing!
I put these on my Telecaster, added a 4-way switch, and a heavier bridge plate. The range of tones achievable is amazing.
Classic (plus) tele! (y)
That's what I call tone! Great playing too.
Wow thanks for the nice comment!

Le colocaste potenciometros de 250k. O. 500k. ?

Seems overly bright, or was that just the overdrive. Would like to hear them with the tone turned down a bit, on both the amp and guitar.
