1:08 The core of the pineapple is actually really tasty. Usually, even if the pineapple itself is a bit sour, the core is actually sweet or apple texture like. You can also make dehydrated pineapple candy with them after you boil it in sugar.
My family uses those pineapple core-ers. They look like some "seen on TV" gimnick product that doesn't work, but they're actually surprising adept at their purpose! you just cut off the punk hair style, stick the thing onto the top and basically just screw it into the pineapple. when you reach the bottom, you pull out the pineapple, leaving the shell and the core, and you get a cool continuous spiral of pineapple that you can make rings from or cut further into chunks!

Me personally, I like to let the pineapple sit for a while, as it has enzymes that can break down fibres. After letting it sit the enzymes have broken down the outer layers and you will be left with a perfectly naked pineapple.

I’ve got this awesome pineapple cutter. It’s got a little screw device in it. You just cut off the top, then push the cutter down onto the core.
