I always use the punch method. Some say it's less effective than a knife, but if you hone your chi to a fine edge, you can deliver the perfect one-two that will also cut through space-time and destroy all your enemies-and leave you with a perfectly cut pine-apple.

My family uses those pineapple core-ers. They look like some "seen on TV" gimnick product that doesn't work, but they're actually surprising adept at their purpose! you just cut off the punk hair style, stick the thing onto the top and basically just screw it into the pineapple. when you reach the bottom, you pull out the pineapple, leaving the shell and the core, and you get a cool continuous spiral of pineapple that you can make rings from or cut further into chunks!

Then twist and twist until it’s always down to the bottom. Then untwist in the opposite direction. The core comes straight out the middle, and then the rest of the pineapple pulls straight up and out of the hard skin. And bam, you’ve got this huge pineapple spiral ready to eat.
