I really appreciate that Zack seems like a straight up guy, not trying to be funny the whole time. Refreshing to see guys who don't have to put on a persona for the camera.
Zach is THE most famous S1KRR mechanic on UA-cam (if not the 🌎), bro just his composure and professionalism during the installs are on point. *Stupid question, did this void BMW warranty?* Ib bike is looking good man.
Wow Zack is a pro!! He's taken stuff off the bike while explaining like he designed the whole damn thing. Very confident, no hesitation, I think he can do this in his sleep. Excellent job Zack!
Its a BMW thing... They usually have a DISA valve in all their intake plenums on their cars to get the best bottom and top end. Nice to see them apply the same tech on their bikes.
Awesome tear down Zack Don't forget to show us a side by side comparison of the bren cam versus stock... Would be interesting to see what differences in duration, lift, and overlap were made and how its going to change the power curve... Great work Ib and company.
Very cool video...I always enjoy watching Zack work on your bikes, I can't wait to see the power those cams make and watch Zack take out the old cams and install the new ones...Thanks ib for taking us along with you on this bike build!
😮😮😮 you cease to amaze me. I've done everything to my zx10r, in hopes of one day calling you out for a smakdown. Haven't sparked any interest into race cams until today. You keep the bar raised high, Love it!
650ib, Zach is awesome, a goldmine for your channel!! He TOTALLY helps set your channel apart and make it a success. Do you share the success of your channel with him and compensate him for all of the content he adds for your success? I could watch this all day!
650ib I'm honored for the response and love the channel!!! All the different bikes, riding areas, and most of all- the races! You are never scared and no matter how fast you are riding you are skilled enough to handle any situation.
3:24 hits the windscreen with the ECU while he's saying as long as everything is done correctly you can't even tell. Well I can already tell you scratched my shit
I was able to remove the cylinder heads on my gen4 zx10 without removing the engine entirely. Not sure if u can do that on a beemer but it would make alot of sense to be able to do so. Maybe thats why u guys were talking about a bike not being the same after removing and then reinstalling the engine
650ib why do u say that? The only thing that gave me trouble when installing my race cams was getting the cam-chain around the crankshaft pto gear aka crankshaft sprocket (whatever people call it) are u sayin its easier this way for a beemer? Or just for removing the valvetrain?
the foam piece in the frame in front of the air box isn't on a 15/16. it would be interesting to know if it makes any improvements since the part most likely fits on the 15/16's and would be an easy order through the dealer. ill be tuning my bike in the spring and would add that part before the tune if we get answers on this mystery
Fun to watch. I just looked at my 16 and I don't have that foam frame insert in front of the air filter. I wonder if BMW is looking for less volume and higher pressure in front of the filter.
Might as well upgrade the thottle bodies to bigger and smooth them out for more airflow right? Just thinking of my cars first thing I did was cold air kit and throttle body upgrade before cam. :)
650ib you should try another hardware to tune your bike. Power comander is good, but are better hardwares to tune bikes and they are more complete. Reserch rapid bike racing you are going to like it .
Very nice video as usual very interesting to see the way the engines and components are placed in the frame, that Zak is a top bloke no’s his stuff, can’t wait for the follow up videos be interesting to see what gains are achieved keep up the fantastic vids and keep safe
Need some smackdowns ib I'm having smackdown withdraws lmao. Great vid by the way loads of info Zack def knows his stuff u are the man Zack keep up the great work
Thanks for the cool video ib. I've never seen an in depth process in the removal of a motorcycle engine before. Shout out to Zack for his work on this build! Also how much do you think the bike weighed with everything removed?
Wow! Just found this video looking for tutorials on how to remove S1000RR engine. This is great! can't believe I'm only finding 650ib now :-O I have a question: at 14:55 the engine is attached to a stand. What stand is it ? How can I find one ? Can it rotate the engine to do the crankshaft bearings ? Thanks already !!!!
That's great. Some manufacturers don't want you to do anything on the engine or electronics for the warrenty to stay valid. I'm not a big fan of BMW, but that's awsome coming from the company.
There it's no problem ecu tuning the 17/18 s1000rr.... BMW HP unlock and rck3 would have yielded as much power as cams (if not more). Pc5 route doesn't address throttle and ignition restrictions, only fuel. What do you think bren tuning's alpha N flash was directly based off...... HP unlock ecu patch (even says it on their web page) Could have custom mapped the ecu but you didn't. Disapointing.
650ib and you think a pc5 will??? What's the point of cams when the ecu has throttle restrictions. Rck3 is a calibration kit, meaning you can custom tune the ecu for any mod. Pc5 just adjusts 4 injectors.
My awesome riding gloves!

650ib don't you wanna sell your older rev'it gear
650ib Zach’s hairline is running away
650ib lol is Zach gonna supercharge those lawn mowers?
Motor yang baik,, suka sangat..
I really appreciate that Zack seems like a straight up guy, not trying to be funny the whole time. Refreshing to see guys who don't have to put on a persona for the camera.
love that he is able to work without gloves and not a spec of dirt is on his hands ...so clean !!!
deepsquat600 i know right. Zack is like a magician with these motorcycles.
wow hes a extremely thorough and experienced motorcycle mechanic.
+Sirmellowman Indeed!
Zach is THE most famous S1KRR mechanic on UA-cam (if not the 🌎), bro just his composure and professionalism during the installs are on point.
*Stupid question, did this void BMW warranty?*
Ib bike is looking good man.
+TheVilouboy The 3yr warranty is still in effect.
Wow Zack is a pro!! He's taken stuff off the bike while explaining like he designed the whole damn thing. Very confident, no hesitation, I think he can do this in his sleep. Excellent job Zack!

wow this is the first time I have seen the air box and all the other internal components of a BMW 1000RR.....very INTERESTING VIDEO!
+bowches Thanks!!!! The cam install video next week is great!!!!!
I liked seeing the motor controlled velocity stacks that are in the air box .. I never seen that before
Its a BMW thing... They usually have a DISA valve in all their intake plenums on their cars to get the best bottom and top end. Nice to see them apply the same tech on their bikes.
P Body That's very interesting .. I'm going to look it up. . Thanks for the info
+Fernando Lopez been doing it for thirty years, I think some aprilias have it and a pal converted his mv track bike to them about 15 years ago
Wasn’t this first done on the earlier Aprilia RSV4 factory?
C Marz , Zack talks about it at 4:44
Awesome tear down Zack Don't forget to show us a side by side comparison of the bren cam versus stock... Would be interesting to see what differences in duration, lift, and overlap were made and how its going to change the power curve...
Great work Ib and company.
+P Body Cam install and comparison video coming next week.
Excellente!
Zack looks happy working on bikes. I can feel the satifaction when the engine is on the stand :)
You're exactly right.
zack is the best.
very true!
wow my head starts spinning after i saw all those wires, tough job being a mechanic huh
Awesome filming! Its nice to get a good camera angle with good quality footage! Makes the removal process seem very cut and dry!
Hell ya get after it. Machinery and tools gotta love it
Great camera work! I loved being able to see, in depth, how the motor is removed. Awesome vid as always!
+BikeLife Soldier 2whlz4rlz Thank you!!!
Very cool video...I always enjoy watching Zack work on your bikes, I can't wait to see the power those cams make and watch Zack take out the old cams and install the new ones...Thanks ib for taking us along with you on this bike build!

650ib I'm honored for the response and love the channel!!! All the different bikes, riding areas, and most of all- the races! You are never scared and no matter how fast you are riding you are skilled enough to handle any situation.

I see your going the extra distance for your contestant's. Nice work Mr.👍
+J F K Thanks man!
1:10 "NO LOITERING" POLICE TAKE NOTICE. LOL Cool sign on the wall
8:32 No carbon in the intake valves. Clean running engine.
I think it's mostly because it's new
3:24 hits the windscreen with the ECU while he's saying as long as everything is done correctly you can't even tell. Well I can already tell you scratched my shit
That compressor is a new character in your video IB. 😀
+DonJuan19 Hahahaha!
I was able to remove the cylinder heads on my gen4 zx10 without removing the engine entirely. Not sure if u can do that on a beemer but it would make alot of sense to be able to do so. Maybe thats why u guys were talking about a bike not being the same after removing and then reinstalling the engine
+RONIN 471 It's much easier to do this with the engine out.
650ib why do u say that? The only thing that gave me trouble when installing my race cams was getting the cam-chain around the crankshaft pto gear aka crankshaft sprocket (whatever people call it) are u sayin its easier this way for a beemer? Or just for removing the valvetrain?
BMW needs to hire that mechanic.
Get the frame resprayed whilst it's in bits!?
wow, hope everything goes back as it was
It did 💪♥️✔️
Damn I'm poor. I cant even afford a free bike
Well, gsxr1000 and zx10r are one of the cheapest superbikes you can buy and in the same time competitive against rivals.
We need to see that CBR1000RR SP for the next build
+Jordian Travers They're sold out and not available until July.
650ib wow that's unbelievable. Us subcribers are still down for whatever the next bike you chose to build.
+Jordian Travers Thanks!
congrats for 150k subscribers
+Shivam Kumar Rai Thank you!!!!!!!!
Its impressive the state of the art of technology
the foam piece in the frame in front of the air box isn't on a 15/16. it would be interesting to know if it makes any improvements since the part most likely fits on the 15/16's and would be an easy order through the dealer. ill be tuning my bike in the spring and would add that part before the tune if we get answers on this mystery

Fun to watch. I just looked at my 16 and I don't have that foam frame insert in front of the air filter. I wonder if BMW is looking for less volume and higher pressure in front of the filter.
+Moreflying1 We agree.
Great channel, great build, great mechanic....all in one👍
+Dion Waller Thanks Dion!
What happend to your Yamaha, will you make a video about that?
im here for zack
How would the bike run if u removed the charcoal canister
Might as well upgrade the thottle bodies to bigger and smooth them out for more airflow right? Just thinking of my cars first thing I did was cold air kit and throttle body upgrade before cam. :)
Hey IB ask him how much does the labor cost to get the cam shafts installed pls
+MoneyMitch Zack answers that in our next video 😎👍
noooooooooo 650ib why the video end it before removing the cam i got so excited
+67 Amri 34 minute cam install video coming to Patreon today and the UA-cam next week.
You know what Mr.Ib, you favor Steve Harvey😂😂😂
+Kendrick H lol... My bank account doesn't.
650ib you should try another hardware to tune your bike. Power comander is good, but are better hardwares to tune bikes and they are more complete. Reserch rapid bike racing you are going to like it .
+cobratoxic We will use that for the next bike build.
650ib I can wait to see that, most of the people dont know the hardware rapid bike racing.
Thank you for cool and instructional videos. Love following you man...keep going!!!
+D Turbides Thanks!

+Jon Andrews Thanks Jon.
How hard should I study engineering to be able to do such things???
+I help anytime It's a good idea to study hard.
I help anytime it would be better to work at a workshop or buy cheap motorbikes to work on. Plus good quality tools and service manual.
Great video. I would never get back together again.
So, the site says no purchase necessary to win, does that mean that we can send an email to enter for a chance to win?
Amazing work Zach.
Okay im a subscriber again u just gotta love 650ib

Are you going to add block off plates?
+John Doe No Sir.
Thanks for the cool video ib. I've never seen an in depth process in the removal of a motorcycle engine before. Shout out to Zack for his work on this build! Also how much do you think the bike weighed with everything removed?
+Ian W The bike probably weighed 390lbs.
You have to have dinosaur balls to rip into a brand new bike like that.
"Ready to gun ya down"
Good vid
+Jon B Thanks Jon!

+Heero357 Thanks!
Wow! Just found this video looking for tutorials on how to remove S1000RR engine. This is great! can't believe I'm only finding 650ib now :-O
I have a question: at 14:55 the engine is attached to a stand. What stand is it ? How can I find one ? Can it rotate the engine to do the crankshaft bearings ?
Thanks already !!!!
Hey will will the warranty from BMW still be valid to the winner of the bike after all the performance upgrades?
+Timothy jones Yes.
That's great. Some manufacturers don't want you to do anything on the engine or electronics for the warrenty to stay valid. I'm not a big fan of BMW, but that's awsome coming from the company.

What do you think bren tuning's alpha N flash was directly based off...... HP unlock ecu patch (even says it on their web page)
Could have custom mapped the ecu but you didn't. Disapointing.
+MrJayjay0420 BMW ecu flash doesn't adjust for the race cam install. Brentuning custom map will adjust for this and add the most HP.
650ib and you think a pc5 will??? What's the point of cams when the ecu has throttle restrictions. Rck3 is a calibration kit, meaning you can custom tune the ecu for any mod. Pc5 just adjusts 4 injectors.
650ib your beloved alpha N flash is an hp unlock that bren tuning used the calibration kit to dial in.
Thats a lot of work!
Best thumbnail ever 😂
quick question Ib. what fuel do you use? on that BMW?
+KENCTV castillo 93 octane
