Oh my goodness thank you for posting!! My Great Aunt's house, which we visited almost every weekend in the summer, was right across the street and it's in the video ! 4:57. The brown house with white porch. The best memories of my childhood. It was my dad's Aunt. They were very close so I have many wonderful memories of her. I really can't thank you enough for posting this. Her home has since been rebuilt. So to see it like it was and like I remember just means everything to me 🥰❤️🩹🥰
Thank you for posting this. It brings back memories for me as I was a waiter at Zaberer's in the summer's of 88, 89 and 90 when I was in college. I rented a house around the corner so I used to be able to walk to to work. Ed had sold the business before I worked there so I never had the opportunity to meet him.
My grandparents took us here in 1964. What wonderful memories things brings back! The kids drink back then was the Davy Crockett. Thanks so much for sharing this video!
This is an amazing video. Thank you so much for posting this. It brings back a lot of memories. I used to do the same thing when stepping on the big, green, giant foot-prints!

@@clarkbarthey had smoking and nonsmoking, and from my experience most people had enough manners and class not to smoke during dinner. My father never went near a cigarette when we were eating.
When I was a kid growing up in NJ in the ‘70s and ‘80s going out to dinner was also a less frequent experience - even fast food - no matter your background, wealthier or working class. Even when we vacationed in Wildwood my parents would get a motel. efficiency apartment and my mother cooked fresh fish; we only went out to eat once during our vacations at the Lobster House. I actually looked forward to dressing up for dinner. I still remember the feeling of being excited and happy for a dinner out after a day at the beach, how good that felt.
My Aunt Bernie and Uncle Doug 's Dairy Queenand gas station, the Calloway house when he pans to the north and west for the sunset. Also the Harkins and larcombe homes.
0:27 - What would the family boarding that van to Zaberers think if the filmer whipped out a device approximately the size of a book of personal checks, and started recording the evening! Dinner at Zaberers either began or capped off many stay in the Wildwoods, including ours.
I believe that there was an Ed Zaberer in Atlantic City, N.J., also which was decorated at Christmas time to the nines. I hope I have the right place in Atlantic City. Ed Zaberer was one classy restaurant.
Was wondering what the motel name was that you guys came out of to get in the van to go to Zaberers that night the area looks familiar I'm living in Wildwood now
Citizen Dick. Hi dick. I remember the days when I went to ed zabers restaurant with my mom and my brother back in the 80s when I was a teenager. When I saw the video it really brought back good memories.
@@cooleydbt It was originally called “Lou Booth” ( named after the original owner). Then it was sold and the new owner just changed some letters around to rename it “Le Boot”.
I heard someone in the video say July. I watched the whole video as I was also there in late July with my new girlfriend from Australia back in 1984. Looked for my 1980 Olds Toronado...didn't see it. Great memories. This was half a lifetime ago for me. From a young man then, now on Medicare.

Mom and Dad use to stop here to eat before we checked in to our summer vacation rental during the years 1971-1978. Great memories. RIP ZABERER'S!
Between 1974 and 1977 I performed at the Lucky Club. Great memories.
The food there was excellent and the dinner rolls were second to none.
Brings back great memories

Definitely a favorite place to eat all the time as a kid
