How strong is Broly? How fast is Broly? Is Broly more powerful and has more potential than Gohan?Broly completely defies the logic of dragon ball power scaling. To be specific, he breaks these rules and laws very specific, When compared to Gohan, what Broly has done is Dragon Ball Super is beyond comprehension. But why? Broly truly broke every rule in dragon ball when you look at the Broly vs Gogeta fight. But How has Broly broken all of the hidden rules of Dragon Ball? Qaaman explains it in this video today.

In the Manga, Cabba make an off hand mention that Kale (and there theoretically Broly) the Legendary Super Saiyan is some kind of “demon saiyan”, while the movie a saiyan scientist says it’s a mutation (for Broly and theoretically Kale). It’d be kinda neat if they had some kind of fallow up to that.
If you can find the exact episode you have your own video response.
There’s so much room for lore development and potential to be capitalized on. If I was writing the story (and this is my own head canon until proven otherwise), I’d write it like this.
The ssj transformation is a natural reflex/response no different than say fight or flight. It’s the body’s natural reaction to being pushed into a corner. Explode with power and fight back against a stronger opponent for a limited amount of time until the body tires and depowers. It works by expanding the ki spots by 50x (ki spots are an actual thing in ki based martial arts). Ki spots grow by 50x, they draw 50x more ki, thus 50x the power. It also increases the size of the amygdala which is responsible for producing anger (the emotion that makes a saiyan want to fight).
Lssj is the gigantism of ssj. Just like how gigantism is when the body doesn’t stop growing, lssj is when the body doesn’t stop at 50x power. The ki spots and amygdala just keep on growing. The has the effect of exponential ki, and thus, exponential power gain. It also means exponential amounts of anger, enough to make a saiyan loose complete control.
The issue with this, is that the body can only hold so much ki, like a balloon filling up with air. This is why the kaio-ken is so dangerous, you’re artificially forcing your ki spots to overload and produce more than your body can handle. It’s also how frieza killed krillin, he over inflated his body with ki, which caused to pop (explode) like a balloon.
This is why the lssj would eventually kill kale, her ki would continue to rise and she wouldn’t be able to contain it. This is why Z broly had to constantly let it out, and it’s also why goku was able to “kill” him by effectively popping his body like a needle.
That brings us to super broly. Broly is a wonder of nature. Not only was he born with the legendary mutation, he was also a fighting prodigy. Warriors like goku and vegeta have to train their body’s to both hold and produce more and more ki to increase their power. But they also have to train to “compress it.” This means they’re able to fit more ki in the same amount of space. Super broly is a prodigy because he was doing this on the fly in his fight against goku and vegeta and then later gogeta. The more his ki spot’s produced ki, the more he compressed it, eliminating the possibility of overloading his body. The more he did it, the better he got at it. Super broly became so powerful because he’s gifted with the talent to figure techniques like this out on the fly. Broly managed to turn what would normally be a death sentence, into a source of unlimited power, assuming he has to time to exponentially increase it.
But that then begs the question, should he ever go lssj again, would he be producing the same amounts, or would he have to start the growth from the start? This solves the narrative issue of him being too op. Basically, broly can have infinitely increasing power, he just has to work his way up to it, and start over each time he uses the form. Meaning that if he would have went lssj again after loosing against gogeta, he would have been no more powerful than before he first attacked vegeta (minus the zenkai)

While I have been subbed and like your takes on many subjects dragon ball related, I strongly disagree. Brolys weakness is his power up, but I'll give you 2 examples of why 1. Moro could absorb his ki if he did then goku and Vegeta would've been donzo along with broly and 2. Buu could absorb him that's not including other various characters who we've seen over the years that could counter broly higher power level isn't always the best like Vegeta said in the cell saga without a way of controlling it is pointless in wielding it

2:25 there's a thing that not much people understand. Despite being ridiculously strong just because, we were shown that Broly actually does have the fighting experience. I quess when he was wiping out planets alongside his father there were strong enemies that Broly got to practice with. Or he has super fighting instincts or kinda like that due to him being a legendary saiyan, but I don't like this idea much.
My thoughts/theory on Broly is that he has a mutated gene that causes his zenkai boost to happen at the time of damage and not after healing. ( limiting factor, too much damage at once for the mutation to handle ? )

The original broly grew outside of taking damage. My theory for him is that the "my power is rising, overflowing" line implies that brolys power can become too much for his body and kill him.

This vid actually made me formulate a theory in my mind. What if the reason why Broly is so strong is because the strain his muscle growth puts on him gives him a sort of automatic zenkai boost. It’s a feedback loop where his power keeps growing which hurts his body which causes his power to grow further

@@QaamansLand if I remember correctly, when broly has his power spikes in base form at planet vegeta, he reaches 10k. Yet, this isn't enough to beat the bugs on vampa since he had to transform into great ape. So the smaller bugs should be at least around 10k. The bigger creatures like broly's friend should be stronger than that, so broly, by the time he is found in dbs should at the very least be around 100k in base without power spikes. From what I could gather about gohan's rage boost, the the multiplier early on could range from a few hundreds to x1000. So, considering broly could have the same type of rage boost, and low balling it to x500 since he's not a half saiyan, his maximum base form power would be at the very least 50M, or if I'm taking the more extreme rage boost I've seen for gohan which would be around x1500, his maximum base form power would be around 150M. Then there is the ikari form which is a base multiplier of x10, but also allows even greater progress through rage. At this point, it isn't even worth it to put numbers on power levels, but broly just grows more and more as he fights, that's the property of his mutation, endless rage boost. A feasable limitation could be that, like gohan, rage boost is probably just a manifestation of untapped potential, so broly would end up hitting a ceiling he could only overcome by mastering his forms and unlocking all his potential. And since goku and vegeta are by this point massively stronger than broly ever was in his movie, probably even at the same level as gogeta blue was at the point, broly would simply catch up to them and then hit his ceiling

Broly's power was a result of his mutation, having a starting battle power of 10,000. Vampa's harsh conditions and Paragus's militant training toughened Broly, but he never really learned how to use his power properly.
To use the MMO example, he's the player who got away with only using auto attack, no skills or spells. The movie had him slowly figuring it out.
Essentially the reason Broly doesn't get slower even though he's super buff like Ultra Trunks is because he's overflowing with Ki... He has so much Ki that it just overshadows any loss in speed or stamina and makes it all irrelevant... whereas Ultra Trunks is using up huge amounts of Ki and stamina just to maintain the form and none of that Ki is being replenished, so its just draining him and making him slower... and thats besides the hindrance of having huge bulky muscles

I wish I could give this video double thumbs-up 👍 👍 I say it once and I'm most likely gone say it multiple times because why not, I hope broly never control his legendary super saiyan like kale did. I feel like it's going to do more harm than good considering broly personality isn't all that interesting. getting rid of broly second personality or alter ego is like removing the prince of all saiyans title from vegeta. there has to be something, some sort of status that make these characters special. that's the main reason why dragon ball super broly was such a success that it is now, if they have written broly like a normal saiyan or without his alter ego. Do you think the movie would be as successful as it is now?
Broly being the legendary super saiyan is very unfair but that goes to show that ranks and status still means something in dragon ball, just like no matter what goku has achieved. He is still a low class warrior, I am guessing if gohan was born on planet vegeta. he will be considered an elite, because he is a half-breed and his power level from when he cracked his uncle's armor (that's sounds weird, this my first time referring raditz as uncle to gohan). So if I'm correct then the ranking is broly, then vegeta, then gohan, and then goku in that order.

Dude just taking 2 seconds to go from his standard SS form to the beyond SS4 limit break and fight against both vegito blue and vegito venoSS4 limit break (and is winning but plot said this fight can't go on) even though getting the limit break state is very similar to the super saiyan god ritual.(aka needing 5 saiyan giving you power)

Super broke the laws of power scaling in Dragonball over and over again. Anything beyond that won't be surprising at all. Broly in the movie was fine, regarding that. We'll see how much more they use him later, I guess.

Goku, despite constantly training, gets grazed by a bullet, when he could tank bullets when he was a kid, and Beerus calls him out for laxing in his training. Goku Black's craziness. Super is nuts. Scaling is anything they want it to be on any given episode.

@@Supahdenning What's "Z Broly?" Broly is at least given a lengthy reasoning to why he can reach such ridiculous power levels. Moreso, by far, than all of the Super anime ever tried to for its arcs. It ties back to Vegeta's telling of the legendary Super Saiyan, how uncontrolled his power was and how we was destroyed by it. And I say he's fine in the movie, because it's a movie, and by now something more interesting than the arcs of Super were. It's not on par with Z, but it's fun to watch. Hate the retcon of adding in Minus' Bardock, though.

One thing I think will be overlooked in the show/manga is Broly’s approach to training. If they spar with him he will without a single doubt grow waaaay more powerful but it’ll be nothing compared to Broly spending 6 months to 1 full year on yardrat. From what we saw in the movie that’s his main weakness. If Broly went there he would learn how to not only master and control his energy but also know how to keep a cool head in the heat of battle. Then after mastering his energy any training after that will make him just astronomically more powerful. I feel this will naturally put him far ahead of both Goku and Vegeta so I think they’ll keep a lid on this by slowly making Broly a pacifist that only fights when he absolutely needs to.
Yeah this new Broly is the equivalent to the Hulk/Bruce Banner. He doesn't like letting the beast out, but don't piss him off. I imagine if he trained for 10 years in the chamber like Frieza did, he would be smacking the shit out of both him and Beerus

@Qaaman I guess Goten is basically kid Goku again minus adventures, adversity, or martial arts master and head trauma, Which is why we doesn't copy techniques as well as Goku and is always messing up fusion. I would imagine either the Angels or Zeno have replacements for them in such cases

In future timeline, when kaioshin died, beerus died too since their lives are linked, and there was no replacement since when a hakaishin dies his angel is basically summoned back to zeno / angel realm since he can no longer perform his duty. And you could also see that with toppo, he will eventually replace his hakaishin, but has to go through a formation, so unless the hakaishin made plans to prepare his succession, there is no designated replacement

I think the best way to not have Broly around all the time steamrolling villains, have his character be used sparingly similarly to fusion. Have it to where Goku and Vegeta don't call on Broly to help unless the situation is absolutely do or die. Broly should be the trump card of the Z Fighters

What if broly is the predicted "strongest" based on the oracle fish's statements. I can see a storyline where broly finds out the truth about his father's death (Frieza) goes berserk and Goku and co have to stop him. Can possibly include granola and merus?

To be fair there is a legitimate lore reason why Broly continuously grows in power, both in Z and Super. He is THE legendary super saiyan. Also, by the same logic, Nappa, Recoome, and Toppo break the physics concerning size and speed. Great video regardless

To be fair, those bugs on vampa must be strong, because Paragus resorts to calling Broly when one appears, even though paragus himself has a power of 4200 if I remember right. But agreed, Broly is unreasonably strong

If Paragus' PL was 4200 when he 1st arrived on Vampa than after 40+ years (I believe) than he should be WAY beyond Namek Saga LV hell he should be beyond Buu Saga LV unless he NEVERTHELESS fought at all during those years and had completely relied on Broly.

Strong disagree about gohan, I feel like gohan is the one who set the laws that Broly followed. Picollo's training with him wasn't about growing his power, it was just about helping him control it (which ultimately failed). Prior to that the kid had like a power level of 1 with no training, could barely walk and talk, and he wrecked Raditz, an adult sayian who'd be training his whole life and was something like 1200x his power level just by getting angry. If anything you could argue that Picollo's training ultimately significantly weakened gohan, he became too cerebral and less adapt at tapping into his raw, child-like, rage. Yes he was less prone to harming people unintentionally, but he never really showed the kind of feat he did against radditz again until cell, and that basically took him losing himself to mindless rage again (thus his toying with cell rather then just killing him out right like he likely would have if he'd been thinking straight).
All of that lines up with Broly well, Broly is the "what if" answer to Gohan if he'd never been taught to grow up and control his emotions by Picollo, but was just this rage monster of ever growing power as his body developed. You could argue we see this same message again with Kale in the anime, when she's pure rage in his legndary super sayian form she walks through a full power super sayian blue Kame hame ha like its not even there, when she learns how to maintain her state of mind in the form, she becomes able to control it, but as a result her power drops dramatically to the point that she can barely fight evenly with super sayian red goku, when super sayian blue goku had been no match for her when she'd been nothing but rage.
The big question was always is rage power something specific to gohan, broly, and later kale, or are those 3 characters just more adapt at tapping into their rage. Trunks in super also suddenly gains god-like power just by raging, suggesting super believes its the latter, that if Vegeta, after learning on namek that he'd been tricked by gohan, had run into Frieza while he was still raging out, might have defeated him right there and then.
Broly: A dude so big and tall he'd be signed on to multiple sports teams. (Basketball, Football, Etc.)
Basically, the only thing Broly broke was the rule of having to train to be strong, rule that never aplied to the antagonist of DBZ to begin whit and that has been treated almost as a joke from the begining of DBS whit Frieza reaching the levels of a god by "training" only a few months whit a partner hundreds of times weaker than him on situations that could not have offer any kind of challenge or demand any kind of efort from him, whit 17 close to the level of a supersayan god just because, Gohan at the level of a supersayan blue by training around one day and far surpasing that whit basically no training.
What i'm trying to say is that Broly didn't broke anything, everything was already broken

I kind of look at Broly in a way of his zenkai boost is altered through a mutation or something and is either constantly growing him at a small scale, is activated during outbursts of rage or both. He doesn't follow the rules for sure but having a Saiyan answer to Freeza, who also is strong without the need to train, it feels more satisfying having him in the main series rather than movies now that Freeza is training. I hope they do something with him. I hoped they gave him an Ultra like Ultra Wrath mode or something, but him gaining control and getting his peace may be the way to go.
Now do I think about it it was said that the legendary super saiyan would defeat frieza but it didn’t say at what time so maybe this is a tad far fetched but broly could be the one that ends black frieza but of course the writers must cater to goku and vegeta so it might not even happen

They're actually is a difference between Broly and ultra trunks. Trunks only pumps up his muscles. But broly's entire body mass grows. As a result, broly's body is able to compensate for the larger muscles because at that point they're actually proportionate to his enhanced size.
but trunks gets bigger when he goes ss tho. they aint the same height... also back in ss days goku gets bigger going ss1. even artwork show'd that where he is in base then ss1 is behind him few inches taller and buffer lol.
@@ssppeeaarr yes, but the increase in overall body size isn't the same. I mean, just look at the size difference between broly base and broly ssj or even full plwer ssj / legendary ssj compared to goku. He goes from being one or two heads taller than goku to being almost double his size, so the muscle increase is actually proportionate to his size increase. Whereas regular ssj only get at bit taller, as you said, a few inches, so in grade 3 / ultra trunks, the muscle increase is way bigger than the size increase making the muscles disproportionate and impractical, thus slowing him down
@@docomega7862 oh ok i got it. i get what yall is saying. in my head canon ya i figure the broly huge size n not losing speed was also due to his special "legendary super saiyan" status. being meant to be that one born every thousand years who no equal... special and just build different. like he had no drawbacks once he went into legendary buff form. cuz he is what true super saiyan is.

My theory for DBS Broly is that his Saiyan biology was broken from birth and his primordial connection to his Great Ape form has been compromised so that every time he is triggered in any way he gets the 10X multiplier added to his main PL and his whole life it just multiplies and multiplies by 10x. By the time we are at “DBS Broly” he has gathered enough Ki to rival base Vegeta from the start of the fight until his multiplier rivaled each of Vegetas forms and beyond.
