Yay! More Bowie!🎉❤Yes .iv been a crazy Bowie fan for most my 62 years .Top 3 of my favourites .Strangers when we meet .Slow Burn and The stars are out tonight .Go the music video's.
Hey Mr POPE have you tried listening to early Hawkwind, King Crimson, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Eloy, Captain Beyond (first two albums), Spirit - 12 Dreams of Dr Sardonicus.... etc,etc...
I would love to see your reaction to a song by Shawn Phillips from his album 2nd Contribution called : The Ballad of Casey Diess, his 12 string guitar work is delicious, and his singing is pretty stunning,as he has a 5 octave range in his voice, hope you check him out.
You can watch the nirvana unplugged video to see how kurt played it on acoustic. David played this song on SNL and its a must see performance. He never fails to make things even more interesting live.
Check out Sons Of The Silent Age from the 1977 Heroes album. The album version are great. There are also a great version live with Peter Frampton on lead guitar and singing the chorus. Also check out Bowie's band Tin Machine. Had Bowie, guitarist Reeves Gabrels, Tony Fox Sales bass and Hunt Sales drums. Great songs like Under The Gun, Crack City, Bus Stop, I Can't Read, Tin Machine, Heaven's In Here and Stateside. Released 2 albums in 1989 and 1991. Just remembered Laughing Gnome from 1967. A little ahead of time.
This is a good song to analyze for how he put his songs together in his early years. You can probably find the guitar tabs laying out how to play that riff on the internet with a search. Mick Ronson plays that riff on an electric guitar. Your guitar is better suited to playing the rhythm part that Bowie himself plays. You can probably find the chord charts for the song too without much more effort. Bowie's acoustic is on the left side of the mix along with the drums. "Ziggy Stardust" is fun to fake when you're playing an electric, but for an acoustic, check out "Andy Warhol" off his Hunky Dory album.
I know you react to a lot of Bowies music but you haven’t done much of songs off of his Young Americans album with Luther Vandross doing backing vocals. It was doing his soul music period.I I would suggest Win and especially Somebody Up There lLikes Me.

One of my favorite Bowie songs- this album is in my top 5 it's definitely worth a deep dive.
Try some more tracks from the man who sold the world!!
The entire album is amazing
Haunting. I always wonder what he was going through when I listen to Bowie.
Hi ya Pope. 👋👋👋
You should check out Bowie’s live version from Saturday night Live with Klaus Nomi! Pure art!
As always ❤
Top 5 Bowie for me. That circular guitar riff and haunting ending. It's pure Bowie
See me giving you a standing ovation? Now listen to All The Madmen and Width of a Circle?

nirvana unplugged is good but so overrated due Kurt killing himself shortly after , Seal version of Quicksand is much better cover

Very Beatlesesque...
You should do Bowie’s version of “My Death”.
Psyche! I thought you were going to play that guitar...
If you haven't listened to it yet...I would recommend "Kooks".
Bowie is a musical journey please check out All the mad men lyrics on UA-cam

Win is one of his best songs and thats saying something "Someone like you should not be allowed to start any fires".
Right is the truth , off Young Americans...his 1975 homage to the Philly sound
