This one is a unique, beautiful, and technical take on the classic single-cut guitar! Forgot to mention the flame maple binding on the neck too! 😍🎸 Tones at 4:57 Enjoy :)
I like how they substituted the plastic parts with metal. Great quality all around it seems. Although the 4 screws on the stop piece could have been bolts or allen heads or something less mundane and recessed or hidden..
I just went to comment on how cool the nut idea was.....and up pops" The Telegram con scam" in almost every 2nd comment. I've reported every single one. I didn't count, but more than 50. Be careful people, scams everywhere. Your welcome :D
Valiant guitars are probably one of the most exciting new guitar companies to follow. They have their own unique spin on the classics AND original designs. I'm glad they're getting the recognition they so clearly deserve.
In my opinion, their is close to no other thing more exciting than unboxing a new guitar. I remember looking out the window for the FedEx man like a little kid just beyond excited.... After getting the delivery I ran to my studio and unboxed my first PRS Silver Sky in the Nebula finish. Literally brought a tear to my eye
Thats just about how i felt yesterday when my ⅞ S-style warmoth build got here...the body is beautiful with the holoflake finish and i got super lucky with the amount of flame i got on the neck(if you dont order the heavy flame option its a gamble weather or not you get a good one)
I can hear the brass nut & bridge right away! It really gives each and every string it's own distinct tone. I kind of think of it as "a HIGH DEF" sound! Aside from that, these guys REALLY thought out the entire layout of the guitar! EVERYTHING IS TOTALLY CUSTOM and has NO OFF THE SHELF COMPONENTS! REALLY GREAT REVIEW DARRELL! Keep em' comin' brother! God bless and take care...
Yes I heard that too! I replaced a bridge on my Tele with brass saddles and it brought out a certain "zing" and brightness that I hear on this one too. This looks and sounds like lovely instrument.
That finish is uber-fantastic! I love a guitar that will both look and sound equally respectable playing radioactive nuclear metal and super clean dark modern jazz
Every single guitar they make is awesome. Everything has classic roots with unique customizations. Absolutely stunning workmanship in the construction and custom hardware. Very badly hope to own one someday.
I usually flinch at guitar prices over roughly $2500, but Valiant actually seems like you are getting something for the money. That’s a guitar I would save up for. Also, love the details like the bridge and tailpiece.
I don't know you so I don't know what you know but just trying to help I noticed that places have payment plans for guitars. I'll let you do the checking around.
My only gripe would be the exposed truss rod end, a local builder to me puts the adjuster in fretboard too but he makes a cover out of the fretboard off cut to keep it looking clean whilst keeping the access. But seriously that's a monster bit of kit, everything about it looks incredible. As always top playing on your end and awesome vid sir.
I couldn't afford it anyway 😂 but , I considered the exposed truss rod adjuster and thought about the dust and grime that could very well get down into it and, I considered playability as well. The former could present a problem in time I think but, the latter, playability might be something akin to a scalloped feel. I feel like they thought of everything else, why would they have left it uncovered if it were going to effect playability? I love the adjustable nut and, for that matter everything about the design if you're looking for something unique to add to a collection but, I wouldn't want it as my sole guitar. 8 lbs. Is a deal breaker for me and my back! Much too heavy. I watch these high end unboxings as if I were looking at a vintage $35,000 Strat or something anyway. It's just fun to check out what's being innovated by different designers . I actually relied on DBGs for choosing my guitar. I spent a couple of months online in 2020 and, his "Yamaha Pacifica vs. Squier Affinity" was instrumental (no pun intended right 🤣) in my deciding on Squier Affinity SSS. That was my price range and I've still got it along with a Fender LT25 Modeling amp. Nice little practice amp. Built in effects, all w/adjustable gain, chorus, delay , and reverb. One of em' is a simulated acoustic that gets ya' pretty close. I just wish it had switched rather than a single knob to go between effects. The price was right. Got a Fender gig bag, capo, strap, cord, strings and picks all for $480.00 from a local shop here in Miami. My only regret is had I been more patient I'd have gone through Sweetwater. The 45 day trial period would have slowed me to check out a Jackson w/a Floyd Rose locking system in the same price range. Or the Ibanez Az series is in the same price range. I'm content for now. It's a made in China SSS in Quick Silver. It was that or black. I like black so I chose the Quick Silver 😂 It's cool though, the finish doesn't effect playability but, living in regret is no fun so since I'm the only one who seems to go back and forth on the finish, Ill wait for my ship to come in and take it from there 😂 Long response, my pain meds are kicking in . 😂 Take care John, see you around brother ✌️❤️🎸🎶🙏
Man, as an "always clean" Jazz Player it comes every time as a shock when your first sound is "a little overdrive" and to my ears every guitar goes "BRRRRRRAAAAAAA". Glad, you do real clean sounds tooo
That is really nice! Never heard of that brand. I love the custom bridge and truss rod adjustment in the neck. They have some really nice guitars on their site, including some with exotic woods like wenge.
Christmas morning..Darrell's turn to open a gift. Family sitting on couch behind him and he turns..(cue this video at point guitar case is opened)..starts going over the specs....LOL. Great video as usual Darrell- your excitement and enthusiasm furing the box opening is unmatched! I've always gotten great tips for modding and especially for underrated affordable guitars from your channel!
An adjustable nut would sure make changing/testing string gauges much easier. Nice. Finish is beautiful, and sounds excellent in your capable hands. Thank you for your reviews.
Valiant guitars are definitely a uniquely attractive take on the standard single cut, very beautiful and well crafted instrument. Glad you can show them off to us.
Wow super cool! Those burst-to-white finishes are growing more popular these days and they’re starting to grow on me. Super cool bridge and the brass not is really cool!
Beautiful guitar. They make remarkably great guitars. The Smith I love except (for me) the headstock shape I wish it was more like a PRS look more streamlined and straighter string pull. The other most amazing thing is these guys are making these guitars still in Kyiv despite the invasion and the other hardships.
Might be the smoothest sounding guitar I've ever heard!!! Of course, Darrell could smack a stick on a rock and it would sing, but still, this really is a masterpiece!!!
yooo congratulations man, this is an amazing looking piece of kit. Those are some THICC maple strips in the neck man, the ones on my mayones are like, 2-3mm a piece just to create tension with the counter grain. whoa the trussrod spoke wheel is in the actual fret.
Hi Darrell, stunning guitar with solid appointments. Great to see other makers compete in the high end sphere. It sounded great too. Great review. Cheers ✌️🎸
Love your channel, Darrell. So much good stuff. Thanks for sharing your talents and expertise with us. Love those first 5 chords your played at the start of the sounds.
That is a unique and beautiful guitar, with some clever build innovations , sounds great also, I just checked out their site , I think I would consider a build from them, guitars are unique
Thanks Darrell for showcasing a guitar that is out of the MainStage, it is reminiscent of any modern guitar out there but with it’s own voice. I loved your review. Cheers ✌️🎸
Looks are gorgeous and so seems tone. However, what impressed me the most are those truss rod and nut innovative features. Congrats to Mr Darrell Brown from the other tip of America, namely Argentina.
Darrell, thanks for the video here, This is the best sounding and Playable Guitar I have heard in awhile, I love everything on how it was made, This Company puts Gibson and a lot of others to Shame, I wish i had one of these , Cousin Figel
I seen you do a Valiant once before and I love their thought process, honestly you can take their ingenuity and apply it to a more plain instrument you'd have somethin, I love their forward thinkin I mean that's how Les Paul and Tele changed music forever
Let's face it, there's a ton of cool looking, quality guitars but for each one there is always one thing, or something that you wished was different, whether it was paint finish, binding, hardware etc. etc. but this Guitar has everything and more going for it. Love the finish, the brass adjustable nut, and last but not least the tones, the clean tones was very impressive, surprisingly so.
It seems like there are really multiple generations implemented in VG. I remember how an older school brother drove an East German semi-acoustic instrument of exactly the same shape into the oven. About 5 years was the resource of this model from the time it appeared on sale until it completely disappeared from view (40 years ago). I'm not talking about "individualized" hardware, but at this price, could it still be something more than Alibaba's small batch production?!
This guitar looks alot nicer than any gibson I ever saw ,Gibsons arnt all that ,Mostley for dreamers that still have Jimmy page posters on the wall. Those old guys played them cause thats all they could get ,and didnt cost 3000.00.
Warwick was using that brass, individual height-adjustment nut on their bass guitars more than thirty years ago. It is not a new thing. Gorgeous, beautifully made guitar. Though the blue should extend faintly to the edge of the top.
I had hop over to their website before I even finished the video. This guitar would daily remind me that it is “out of my league”! Expensive but like a beautiful woman “there’s no telling where the money went!”
This one is a unique, beautiful, and technical take on the classic single-cut guitar!
Forgot to mention the flame maple binding on the neck too! 😍🎸
Tones at 4:57 Enjoy :)
it sounds amazing, and your skills are what I aim for in my playing
I like how they substituted the plastic parts with metal. Great quality all around it seems. Although the 4 screws on the stop piece could have been bolts or allen heads or something less mundane and recessed or hidden..
O. M. G.... the SUSTAIN... both clean and dirty!!!
Brilliant!
I just went to comment on how cool the nut idea was.....and up pops" The Telegram con scam" in almost every 2nd comment. I've reported every single one. I didn't count, but more than 50. Be careful people, scams everywhere. Your welcome :D
AND their all back. I've reported the account now. What I wouldn't give to be able to beat the crap out of these scammers :(
Man that guitar is unreal. Way more innovation than many other builders combined.
Where they placed the truss rod adjustment makes total sense and that nut is truly innovative!
Valiant guitars are probably one of the most exciting new guitar companies to follow. They have their own unique spin on the classics AND original designs. I'm glad they're getting the recognition they so clearly deserve.
Valiant has been crushing it this year, and under the storm of war with Russia to boot. They’re unbelievably kick ass.
By this guitar alone, you got that right, man!
I agree, it's a unique feeling... It's a bit like the delivery man is Santa Claus.
Man, you got that right! I had that same feeling when I received my first electric guitar!
Thats just about how i felt yesterday when my ⅞ S-style warmoth build got here...the body is beautiful with the holoflake finish and i got super lucky with the amount of flame i got on the neck(if you dont order the heavy flame option its a gamble weather or not you get a good one)
I've ordered 20 guitars since the pandemic hit. Addictive...
I still get that way even if it's just strings, picks and cables. It's an affliction.
Wow what great instrument. At first I thought it was odd but the more I saw the more I loved it. Super glassy clean tone. Love it.
That is a stunner!! So beautiful and I love the design. Like you said “clever”.
One of the coolest looking guitars ive seen in a long time. Build quality looks top quality from the vid.
A yes, a guitar that fades to white…
What I like to call: the jizz burst.
Absolutely stunning! Always so many cool guitars on this channel. Bad part is, I'm gonna go broke 😅
Beautiful Guitar. Sounds phenomenal in your hands, DARRELL! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😇⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm with you on this one, Darrell is outstanding
Thanks for the kind words!
That finish is uber-fantastic! I love a guitar that will both look and sound equally respectable playing radioactive nuclear metal and super clean dark modern jazz

Thanks for saying this out loud :) I completely agree with you!
The adjustable nut hopefully will become a mainstream thing someday...
@@seanemmettfullerton just an fyi, you can get the same adjustable brass nut on Amazon for $16 if you want to add it to an existing guitar.
@@axegrindin cool... thanks, i just saw the Guyker brass one.
I don't know you so I don't know what you know but just trying to help I noticed that places have payment plans for guitars. I'll let you do the checking around.
These guitars are top of the line! Congratulations on getting one of these I want one so bad.
Gorgeous and wonderfully made! 😊❤ I love it!
i love it when manufacturers go the extra mile to also design hardware or unique solution. This is an awesome guitar imo
I have a 1963 Valiant EJ1 with a gold foil pickup. Im glad to see a came back in these guitars they need more love.
Some really clever ideas, the nut idea is good
You look so happy in this video. I love it. I’d be stoked too. That guitar is beautiful.
I was thinking the same thing. Almost like it's not meant to be played up there...why the last fret then?
I couldn't afford it anyway 😂 but , I considered the exposed truss rod adjuster and thought about the dust and grime that could very well get down into it and, I considered playability as well.
The former could present a problem in time I think but, the latter, playability might be something akin to a scalloped feel.

That nut is AMAZING. I’m in love with that feature.
Man, as an "always clean" Jazz Player it comes every time as a shock when your first sound is "a little overdrive" and to my ears every guitar goes "BRRRRRRAAAAAAA". Glad, you do real clean sounds tooo
One of if not the best tone I've heard on your channel. Wow.
That is really nice! Never heard of that brand. I love the custom bridge and truss rod adjustment in the neck. They have some really nice guitars on their site, including some with exotic woods like wenge.
Darrell - "I wanna give you a look before I tell you who made this"
Me - "Please be a Glarry"
0:48 Oooh, I LOVE that back, it looks great and compliments the front quite nicely :)
I LOVE the growl on the neck pickup with the tone pulled back and the distortion turned up. I'd like to hear you play more on that pickup like that
Christmas morning..Darrell's turn to open a gift. Family sitting on couch behind him and he turns..(cue this video at point guitar case is opened)..starts going over the specs....LOL. Hey Darrell- did I need to download the telegram app?
Gorgeous, that's a lifetime keeper for sure!!!!!!!!!
That guitar is Amazing. Awesome tone
Very nice, great sounding in your hands as always and very unique colors.
That neck and truss road design is just genius.
Oh wow that’s gorgeous
That mahogany back has incredible movement. Almost wish the back was the front.
Beautiful guitar. They make remarkably great guitars. The Smith I love except (for me) the headstock shape I wish it was more like a PRS look more streamlined and straighter string pull.

Probably the best guitar review concept in UA-cam… keep doing this with guitars and you’ll be legendary
this is going to be interesting, it looks beautiful
glad to see bare knuckle pickups getting some appreciation, best pickup manufacturer ever
The fretwork and the fingerboard binding looks amazing on this guitar.
Valiant builds some beautiful guitars, I hope to own one in the future.
Valiant guitars are killing it... Super sick looking and sounding guitars.. great demo D!
Might be the smoothest sounding guitar I've ever heard!!! Of course, Darrell could smack a stick on a rock and it would sing, but still, this really is a masterpiece!!!

Man I love that White Burst Finish!
I bet it is a guitar in the box. Those special touches in the hardware are very nice. Easy to tune and adjust.
That is one beautiful axe Darren!!!!
Hi Darrell, stunning guitar with solid appointments. Great to see other makers compete in the high end sphere. It sounded great too. Great review. Cheers ✌️🎸
That is a gorgeous guitar. Love the white and blue burst.
Really beautiful guitar! Looks and sounds Amazing. Love the blue to white fade.
Love your channel, Darrell.
So much good stuff. Thanks for sharing your talents and expertise with us.
Love those first 5 chords your played at the start of the sounds.
Hope that didn't come out wrong. Long time follower. I realize companies supply their product to many popular channels. Thanks for the content
That is a unique and beautiful guitar, with some clever build innovations , sounds great also, I just checked out their site , I think I would consider a build from them, guitars are unique
What a work of art!
Oh man I’d love that guitar in a left handed configuration 😍valiant knocked it out of the park there
Thanks Darrell for showcasing a guitar that is out of the MainStage, it is reminiscent of any modern guitar out there but with it’s own voice. I loved your review. Cheers ✌️🎸
Looks are gorgeous and so seems tone. However, what impressed me the most are those truss rod and nut innovative features. Congrats to Mr Darrell Brown from the other tip of America, namely Argentina.
Great looks, great specs, great sounds. Flys under my radar because it flys over my budget 😁
I like their website. It says" built to order", now how cool is that. Superb in all ways.
Very cool guitar! Absolutely love that color! Those custom designed bits are VERY refreshing, and that truss rod design is amazing!
Trogly's guitar show also had a valiant on his channel
That guitar is beautiful.. it looks like a blue ice storm.. super interesting guitar from some really resilient ballsy people.
Beautiful craftsmanship... would love to have one in solid surf green.
Oh man. That’s gorgeous. You’re a lucky man, DB.
A very beautiful guitar. Especially the laminated neck and back ! All nice features.
Eye catching tone monster !
Darrell, thanks for the video here, This is the best sounding and Playable Guitar I have heard in awhile, I love everything on how it was made, This Company puts Gibson and a lot of others to Shame, I wish i had one of these , Cousin Figel
Damn, Darrell be cheesin' super hard
It would appear that this guitar while beautiful seems to be well constructed as well. Waiting to hear it.
I'd call that finish "Jack Frost Melt".😁
I seen you do a Valiant once before and I love their thought process, honestly you can take their ingenuity and apply it to a more plain instrument you'd have somethin, I love their forward thinkin I mean that's how Les Paul and Tele changed music forever
The neck joint is similar to a Revstar, great PU’s 😳. Creamy leads above 12th
this video looks like an advertisement 🤔....and i'm totally by it!!!)))
paint job and tone is miraculous!!!!
She's A KEEPER there she got the top ends and low ends no problem with her tones 🎸👌👍🤘🤟😎❤️love it

Very impressive hardware on this guitar
Warwick was using that brass, individual height-adjustment nut on their bass guitars more than thirty years ago. It is not a new thing. Gorgeous, beautifully made guitar. Though the blue should extend faintly to the edge of the top.
Yea you can find a ton of the brass nuts on eBay or reverb.
Wow that thing is gorgeous!
I had hop over to their website before I even finished the video. This guitar would daily remind me that it is “out of my league”! Expensive but like a beautiful woman “there’s no telling where the money went!”
Reminds me of the Washburn Idols.
Great looking bridge setup.
My first bass was a Valiant ! They have come a long way. It was sort of a Tiesco looking thing, it was $50. That’s an amazing instrument.
I'm looking forward to your review of the unique Palm Vibrato system on the Canada-built TunaTone Guitars.
I tend to stay to traditional makers, but this is something else. Loved it!
Wow! I am in love!
It seems like an excellent instrument. I personally would not choose the white burst but everything else was pretty cool.
What killer guitar design features! Wow....Totally bostin.
Sounded and looked great !
Looks and sounds beautiful
This is what I imagined a 2 HB guitar with brass saddles and nut would sound like.
I really want a Valiant guitar! I think they just look stunning, and sound amazing.
Love the guitar. Thanks for the review Darrell.
I became a fan of this brand. I’ll be reaching them later this year to make a custom 💯
