She respects him as the King and the father of her best friend; and seems to respond to him as a kind man who is mourning his wife, but she doesn't feel any passion for him. It's doubtful that Viserys is having sex with her; he still misses Queen Aemma, who was the love of his wife.
GOT is for sure worth the watch. Patience is needed. It's a long game. Every scene , every words spoken means something at some point through seasons. Pay attention to everything.. Has many characters, houses All over there world and they are all intertwined. The story will make you feel every range of emotion possible. Can make a grown man cry. Lots of political Intrigue, family drama, brutalness , deaths that will break you and make you never want to watch, but it's so good you can't stop. Don't compare it to HOTD! It is 2 different stories... HOTD moves a lil faster. Give it a chance. Watch the 1st season. Wheels start turning episode 5 6 and on and that starts a masterpiece of tv. Hope you do . It's sooo good just remember everything I said above. And don't ho in with preconceived notions about it

Yeah, the ages are changed. The king was 31, Alicent 18, and Rheanyra 11 when the king announced to the council his intent to marry Alicent in 106 AC bookwise. I wonder how much they'll age up some of the other cast when a certain someone loses an eye and all the other horrible stuff that happens to them.
Options: 1) Both die 2) Baby is deliberately killed & mom still is not guaranteed to live 3) Try to save the baby & mom still is not guaranteed to live The baby doesn't have less of a right for their life to be fought for because they are small vs a grown adult. Forget the womb. You have a baby grown & still inside an 'artificial womb' sitting in the street about to be killed by a car & an adult standing in the street about to be killed by a car. Who do you save? Who "deserves" it "more"? Maybe you can divert both cars maybe you can't. You could try to divert one car that will 100% save the baby, but you won't be fast enough to fully divert the other so the adult may be only partially injured or they could still die. The adult is definitely more likely to survive a partial car accident than the baby. So what do you do? Intentionally kill one to guarantee the other lives or risk it and fight for both? It's the intent that's the key to this moral conundrum. Dismembering or poisoning an unborn baby is wrong. Plain and simple. Luckily with modern medicine there is no hypothetical condition where the mom is saved by dismembering or poisoning the baby. You just have to remove the baby via birth or c-section. The baby may still not survive after no matter how hard you fight to save them. But you didn't deliberately cause their death.
I don't think Alicent truly has romantic feelings but they do have a similar demeanor & enjoy each other's company. That is actually better than many political marriages where neither like each other at all in any way.

Eh don't worry about the ending, the first 6 seasons are pretty universally regarded as great and IMO the ending does not negate that.
Just watch the Game of Thrones and enjoy it. It was an excellent show.
