Fun fact: The top speed/acceleration of a vehicle is actually not so dependent on how much horsepower the engine can produce, it's really more about how desperately the whels long for the freedom of the open pasture and how successfully you can constrain that mischievous energy into accelerating the vehicle in the direction you want it to go. It's a tough engineering challenge.

two inches is actually surprisingly vast of a distance it’s like when ppl say that 5 minutes is a short time try hold your breath for 5 minutes so rethink your misconception about 2 inches because i think you’ll find that many extremely large objects are barely even 2 inches long and it’s a reflection on the sad state of this world where we’ve normalised the idea that 2 inches is “short”

Gotta give credit to the Indy 500 event managers. They acknowledged that their safety measures failed, and covered the resulting damage.
They just wanted to prevent getting sued about it. It was probably way cheaper to bribe them with a new car, then to actually face the consequences of their lack of safety.

Yeah the V6 F1 engines sound a lot better today than they did at the beginning of the turbo hybrid regs. It'll never beat Ferrari's 3 liter V12 or RB's V10 with the blown diffuser, but at least it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner any more.

I have a classic impreza AKA gc8 i threw it around corners on the baby dragon its fun because of the speed of which you drive at. However the difference between drifting and powersliding is misunderstood. Drifting is basically like you see people doing, starting at the beginning of the corner, continuing through the corner and stopping at the end of the corner. Powersliding however is "drifting by mistake" where you dont initiate a drift at the start, usually in 50-50 ratio awd cars like the gc8, 30-70 and up awd ratios with pretty even weight distribution like the evo MR, and fwd cars that are lightweight in the rear like the older civics. They usually lose rear traction either due to hard corner mixed with a high throttle input (lift-off oversteer) or by full throttle in a more rear-ratioed awd car. But the main difference between drifting and powersliding is that powersliding on MOST OCCASIONS does not require counter steering and the car is sliding due to pull of the car in a corner rather than the spinning of the rear wheels in a corner. Im sure im missing some info feel free to add on if you please.
