- 347 stroker - SCAT 9000, Icon pistons, Ported Trick Flow TW 170 heads (need to go bigger!), Xe282hr-12 camshaft, RPM air gam intake, Edelbrock 650 AVS2, Tri-Ys and Flowmaster 40s duel exhaust. most importantly, I have to find where that squeak is coming from!
Best looking of all the ‘Stangs made. Nice motor choice too.
Love it
Always that one Squeak on these cars that is a PITA to find.
Lol yep. Still haven't taken the time to find it yet. Other things have taken priority! 👍
Nice build. I’ve got a 66 I’m wanting to do an R code tribute with. Hoping to get it off the rotisserie by the end of next month.
Nice! Upload some videos of it! I just sold this set up and started building a dart 347 this week. The car will be off the road until I get the TKX transmission in.
Awesome car Ford powered forever baby l love it
Very nice im using the same cam and avs2 on my truck
Yep, good cam. Just ripped out the motor and will be going with the xfi236hr-14 and holley sniper though.
@65_347FB I've heard good things about that cam also with efi setups
How do you like the cam? I am doing an almost identical build. 10:1, 347, RPM Air gap, 650DP, Scat rotating assembly, icon pistons, Promaxx 180 heads, Flowmaster 10s. XE282HR was literally installed today. Hopefully finishing up this week and dropping the motor in next weekend. Also what rear gear are you running and what trans?
Its a great cam but I didn't really get to enjoy it. I took a chance hoping the shards of metal from the old camshaft gear didn't mess anything up but I think some scarred up a few cylinder walls pretty good. Ended up getting some blow by so I'm actually in the process of ripping everything apart to install a 363 with the xe282hr-12 w/ 1.7 rockers and AFR205s. I think the car ran well with it but my rear gear is still a 2.80, which made it a real dog down low. Working on putting a 9" with 3.55 or 3.73's in the rear to wake it up.
Car-porn. It works for me. My Mustang was a 69 fastback.
I must know, is that Guardsman Blue? My 65 is currently in the body shop and will be getting paint in a few months, I have been looking for a good representation of G. Blue for some time now and your paint really stands out. If not G. Blue could you share the color because I really like that color Blue you have. I am also doing a tribute car and the plan was and is to do a very similar build to what I just watched here for the first time, already have the Blueprint engines 347 stroker waiting and a Tremec TKX is on the way, going with 3:50 rear end in a Ford 9 inch.
I believe the color is closer to sapphire blue and not G blue. Thanks. I'm about to drop a dart 347 in it with a TKX & 9 inch with 3.50s as well. Very very similar build 👍
@@65_347FB for some reason I thought sapphire blue was a bit lighter than the paint on the car in the video. I’m going to have to get a paint shop to shoot some representations it looks like.
@tempmail1 You might be right. I've looked at pictures of both and there seems to be a fair amount of variance so I'm not 100% sure. I just know I liked the color ahen I bought it, haha.
What’s your tire & wheel set up?
15x8 with 245/60r15 in the rear. 15x7 with 225/60r15 in the front.
For sale?
Nope
