- This Glitter Pen Tutorial is completely epoxy free using crystalac brite tone and other CrystaLac products! Use washi tape to help tape off before you start adding glitter. I use the papermate inkjoy gel pen for this glitter tutorial. These are super fun gifts for teachers and my customers are loving them!

THANK YOU!!!! I have been looking for confirmation that the water slide could be used for the names only. I am having a HECK of a time cutting such small designs out on my silhouette. this seems like the PERFECT solution. However, do you wait until you have a full sheet of names?

Can you use GrandFinale instead of Bright Tone so that it only has to dry for two hours? I don't make tumblers, so my first attempt at anything glitter. As long as you have a good sprayed base coat, can you use cheap acrylic paint as a colored base coat?

What is waterslide
Dang it maybe thats why I had a hard time starting it off.
I noticed you didn't mention anything about sealing your waterslide. Do you only do that on your tumblers? What if it's a colored waterslide, should I seal that? Do you let your waterslide dry for 24 hours before applying BT? Thanks.
You need to seal waterslides if they are printed on inkjet printers. I seal mine and let them dry 24 hours. Apply to surface and let dry another 24 hours. then brite tone. Here is a tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/bUM7BELGfx4/v-deo.html

Where did you get your spray bottle for the GG?
Looks like a future project for me.. I would love to make these for my coworkers. How many can you make at a time? I don’t have a turner
You don't need to spin them :) You can make as many as you have room for!

How do you make the glitter glue ???
Hello! From what I gather it takes a few days total to make the pen because of the dry time in between? When you mention 3 coats of brite tone , there’s a wait time of 4 hours in between each coat? Thanks
How long it takes really depends on your own personal schedule and skill level. But yes, it takes me about 5 days. Each coat needs 4 hours to dry.
Hi!! In the video you said that you used Universal White with paint and that you could use other paints, what other options I could have as a replacement of the Craftnique Colors?
do you mean to tint the Universal White? Those are really your best option! but as long as you have a base coat (spray paint or uw) you could use acrylic paint to make it colorful

to spray? in the spray bottle i mix 2 parts glue with 1 part water :)

I see you have pens spinning in the background. Does it matter if they hang dry after you have applied glitter and brite tone or if they spin dry? Thanks!
You can hang them! I just prefer to spin :)
How did you decide between using bright tone vs glitter glue to apply your glitter?
So i've been using brite tone for ay ear and a half and the glitter glue is a new product. I'm just very used to using Brite tone :)

What is the ratio for your glitter glue spray? And you use that to seal the glitter?
2 parts glue to 1 part water! that's what i use to seal the glitter.
I noticed in your other pen video you applied the glitter glue over the glitter with a brush and in this one you sprayed it. Do you find the spray bottle method to be easier?
I spray when i have multiple colors of glitter so they dont mix :) either way works!

I’m new to all of this, would you say the brite tone have a very bad smell? I was really surprised when you didn’t use gloves while working with it.
No smell at all. No toxic fumes or hazardous ingredients 💖

not as a base, but you could paint it over a primer
@@AlisonCrafts So acrylic paint will work for the pink and yellow areas, but not the first base coat that needs to be spray paint?

how long does it take for the brite tone to cure?
it's hard enough to use after 5 days but will continue to harden for up to 30 days

Yes! Sand really well and I spray painted it.
