Well guys, it has certainly been a hot minute, but here I am. I hope to be able to upload more, but honestly, life has been pretty insane. I guess that is what happens when you become an adult. Well, I hope you enjoy this one!
Does the aawireless still work good?
it connects faster if you go to your AAwireless app then USB mode. change it from MTS to Direct. now when you have done it. it will not take 20-30 sec to wait it connects immediately the same way if you used with wire.. :)

Hello folks. The creators of this device has been working on the updates so everything should work fine.
You guys need to reset it to factory settings to fix whatever issue you might have before the updates.
Bluetooth on and WiFi has to be on.

well after over 7 months , mine finally arrived yesterday, and it actually works in my 2019 Jeep grand cherokee, setup was ridiculously easy, i was prepared for hours of messaging and problem solving , but done in less than 5 minutes.

@@LukenSkyne I mean, it sold like crazy in the beginning so alot of people have been waiting but I'm sure it's worth it. I also think that they will be able to ramp up the production speed with all the accumulated units sold both before and after the initial batches were sold out, that will help them when negotiating about hardware units. Hopefully you'll get yours sooner rather than later 😃.

Got mine working after a bit of messing about ,because of my lack of knowledge, it's in a grandland x that kept losing connection,this works perfect now with no issues.
Thanks for sharing this! I started having USB connection issues recently where even a small bump would knock the head-unit back to the car's default so I was looking for a wireless solution instead of replacing the USB port since it still charges just fine lol

Damn, that second time you started it up it took about a minute to start up... Looks great but would have been amazing if startup time wasn't so long. Let us know if its been consistently taking that long for you.
Honestly, I think that was just a fluke. Literally every time since it has been 15-20 seconds at most. 99% of the time, it is right around 10 seconds or so.
@@IcysGaming Oh really? that sounds promising. Would be interested to hear your honest feedback about it now that you've had a chance to use it for a couple days, with regards to if there are any glitches, dropped connections, etc. Thanks!
I've had one really strange glitch where the Bluetooth completely shut off on my car and wouldn't turn back on until I restarted the infotainment system. I've also experienced a minor audio glitch 2 times. Other than that, everything has been perfect and I'm so happy with this device.

@@bigman7570Awesome. Connects seconds after turning car on. Haven't really had to mess with it other than the initial setup. Let's me keep my phone charged while still leveraging all the Android Auto functionality which is exactly what I was hoping for.
Can u use the steering wheel control to skip songs while connected to auto Android?

Are there any latency issues with it? Is there a crazy delay between audio or commands from the phone?
Not that I have noticed.
I'm a full time Uber driver so I'm using Android Auto constantly but if I hit a bump sometimes it disconnects bc the cable moves around so I'm hoping this wireless adapter can come through clutch and help make my job better!
If possible I'd love to see a real world driving scenario where you test this out going over bumps and things to see if it stays connected! Obviously in a safe mannerism of course!
Hey Connor. I can tell you that I've never had an issue with disconnects, even with using a cable. The only time I've ever had that issue was when I used a lower quality cable. Someone told me to buy a USB 3.1 cable and ever since buying that, I've had no more disconnects. As for AAWireless, the included cable has been great. My phone always connects to the device and once connected, stay connected for the duration of my trip.

@@IcysGaming Are you able to charge your device via USB charger while using this? The main problem I find with the standard AA USB is that it discharges your device while wired into AA.
@@lamazejohnson4909 What? On my car (Yaris 2021) it charges my phone pretty fast while wired to AA, and I am always using Google Podcast and sometimes navigation through TomTom or Google Maps.

Thanks for watching! Yes, the cord that is included can work with any other device with the same type of plug on it. I actually no longer own the device. I got a new car that doesn't utilize Android Auto.
Incase anyone wondering why get one of these.. my reason was my car stereo didnt supply enough power to my phone, so long drives 100 miles+ using my gps on my phone would severly drain my battery on my phone, now i place my phone in the center console, connected to a 80w fast charger, and the phone connects wirelessly to this. works perfect, startup time approx 10 seconds on a S22 ultra Peugeot 308 GT

I ended up selling it to a friend because I got a car that no longer supported Android Auto.
I have ordered one last week, I have tried the 3 CarKit versions, but they all do not work, and when they work, they work for just one time, the next time when you start the engine the connection is lost. I need it for my VW Touareq 2019 with Samsung S21 Ultra. When I have installed it I will let you all know if this works!

Thanks for the video. Great demonstration. Can you please share how exactly is the phone connected to the dongle? Wireless or Bluetooth? If wireless, can you use a hotspot on your phone while connected to the dongle?
The phone connects via Wi-Fi to the dongle, and Bluetooth to your car.
@@IcysGaming Well then that would mean the phone will not be able to provide HotSpot internet connection. and usually, if a phone is connected via Wi-Fi, 3G/4G connection is disabled. How would it then be able to connect to the internet?
@@baraakazzaz3990 With xiaomi (developer mode) there are options that allow you to keep both networks connected, I do not say if that would be useful for you.
@@baraakazzaz3990 This is a smart question, I hadn't considered that I won't be able to hotspot in the car and use AA without plugging in... but as for the still connecting to cell networks for data, this isn't an issue, I'm pretty sure most phones can recognize that a wifi network is without internet and it'll stay connected only for data transfer while still using your 4/5g for internet stuff.
@@EileenTheCr0w You're right about having the cell phone detecting no data from wireless and using 3G/4G instead. but HotSpot is still something unsolvable. on long trip, i usually provide hotspot to my kids in the backseat for their tablets. So if launching hotspot will disable Wi-fi and thus disconnect the AAWireless, then it's completely useless in my case.
How is the performance of this product till now.
I am planning to order it and want to know a honest review from you being a 3+ months user.

Hi can you please comment if there is any delay compared to using cable? Also is that the set up just need to do once, and u don't need to open the aawireless app anymore or even if it is deleted abs it will still work?
I don't have any delays using android auto compared to a cable. As far as connection time, the delay is negligible to me. I don't see why it wouldn't work if you uninstalled the app, but the app gives you firmware updates.
Received mine this morning. Wasn't so easy to set up since I had to play with USB connection type until it works. Looks fine overall. RAV4 hybrid 2021.

Thanks for the from-zero demo. I agree it does look easy. The major issue I see is startup time and the question of "is it necessary?" I keep thinking I really don't mind plugging my phone in when I get into the car because then it's topped-off whenever I get to my destination. BUT I don't drive all day and get in and out of my car. If I was in and out of my car all day, I'd probably totally wish my AA was wireless. I think it's hilarious that their sales pitch showing the cables all being unwieldly - where this is the same number of cables plus an addition device... and actually an additional cable if your car doesn't support wireless charging.
And the price....very expensive as far as I can find. Not worth it to me.
It's the same number of cables technically in your car, but that's not really an honest way to look at it, because the benefit with this is that you'll tuck it somewhere out of the way and forget about it, instead of needing to plug in every time.
If you need to also charge, many cars/phones have wireless now, but yeah, if not, you'll still have to plug in and it would make this mostly pointless.. aside from maybe being able to charge faster with a different port.
Have you not bumped your usb c cable and the entire thing disconnects?

Thanks for your comment! I just tested the link and it is working for me, so it might be your device or the network that you are connected to that is blocking you from accessing it.

I often use Waze with Android Auto. And there is some sort of an issue with my VW Golf - when I launch Waze while already connected to AA, it gives me "no GPS" errors. So I first set up my route in Waze, then connect to AA and everything is fine. Don't know the reason behind this.
And since this thing would connect me to AA right away, it's probably not for me. 😞
EDIT: OK, once I set the Waze location permission from "Allow only while using the app" to "Allow all the time", I no longer get the "No GPS" issues. 🙂

Will this work on a Mazda 3 2022
I had mine for 6 months. Riddled with problems after a few weeks of having it. Got so bad that it started disconnecting itself every 30 seconds. Dealt with customer service for 4 months and nothing fixed the constant issues. Then they said it's android autos fault. I got a refund and I'll be waiting for them to actually create a working product before I buy again. Btw, the newest update made it way worse. They then allowed me to download the oldest version and that didn't help.

This thing seems cool but idk if it's just my phone but it requires Bluetooth and wifi be activated. My phone battery dies so fast because of it that I gotta keep the charger plugged in the whole time. So I might as well keep it plugged into car play and charge the phone at the same time. If there's a way to have just Bluetooth connected to it let me know because I tried turning off wifi but as long as this dongle is plugged in it forces wifi on even after turning it off.
Also it randomly disconnects from my phone which is really annoying.
I like it alot connects immediately as soonest my Subaru Infotainment Loads Android Auto Loads, However It has a Big problem.
When Getting Turn By Turn Directions while Listening to music at the same time The Directions voice chops off and slows down the system. I' notice that as longest music is not playing works just fine.
Interesting, I haven't run into this issue. Are you running the latest firmware update for AAWireless?
@@IcysGaming I'm in the latest firmware everything works perfectly connects super fast but when two audios come on the unit slows down I cannot run the google maps turn by turn navigation at the same time I play music over UA-cam Music because when the navigation says the directions it will slow down and glitch but if I pause the music works just fine.
nice product.if compare wired and and that wireless how many second different to boot up android auto..i know it vary on car. but mine ford sync3 take less than 4 second after plugin cable.
I would say about 15 seconds at most? I never really counted.

it doesnt use bluetooth. it uses the wifi anthena as a connection so its very stable don't worry
Having an issue with mine. Why is the screen the wrong resolution? It's stretched and kinda washed out.
You should be able to change the settings in the app. If you can't get it to work, reach out to the manufacturer.
My usb port in the front doesn't work. Can I plug it into the rear USB in the back seat? Would it still work?

It looks great but it drags to connect automatically. I didn't like that it does that it should take just 5 to 10 seconds max to pop up on the head unit they need to fix that with newer versions

Hey, it's funny that I have the exact same vehicle as you, the CR-V Touring. Could you confirm that it works with your phone on the wireless charging pad in the center console? That was one of my primary reasons for ordering my AA Wireless about a month ago. Due to the chip shortage, their production is now backed up, unfortunately. Appreciate the video. ✌️
Hey Jeffrey, I actually haven't tried the wireless charging as I keep my phone on my pocket. I'll give it a try though and report back if I run into any issues.
I tested the wireless charging this morning and there were no issues with AAWireless.

It didn't work for me, I did the same steps that you did and it doesn't work on the chevy Colorado, I'm disappointed in the device, I'm going to try to contact the seller and get the money back, I rate the device a number three,because disappointment me😠

I'm not sure Android Auto supports video playback. If it does, this would work for that.
Can you do a video showing how long it normally takes to load Android Auto from starting your car using a wired connection?
Wired is near instant. It just takes as long as the infotainment system takes to start. I would say this takes about 5-10 seconds longer on average.
In my VW golf I think it's about 20 seconds from putting key into car.
does this drain your car's battery if you leave it plugged in overnight?
I didn't run into this issue. The USB on my car is only powered when the ignition was started.

Does this work properly with Android 12, specifically one ui 4, Samsung phones. Any advice would be really appreciated.
I have the Z Fold 3 with 4.0 and Android 12. I have had no issues with it since I got it a couple months ago.

AA stands for Android Auto, an Android app. AAWireless is a third-party device....so, no.
Unfortunately they do not
In some Chinese online stores there is what you are looking for.

Any aftermarket headunit that supports wired AndroidAuto will work with AAwireless. Keep in mind they also make aftermarket headunits that support wireless Android Auto straight out of the box, so you might not need this.
Does this work with stock head unit or does it have to be an android head unit?
It has to be a headunit with Android Auto. This does nothing other than allow for a wirelessly connection to a headunit with Android Auto

This thing is a disaster for me. It took me several tries of resetting the module, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, clearing cache and data of the apps just to even get to pairing stage. I thought I finally got it to pair to my vehicle but my excitement was short lived when the message pops up to tell me the pairing has failed and to go into manual adjustment mode. Well, nothing I could do in that menu allows me to pair. I went through a couple of cycles like it and I finally gave up. $99 bucks down the drain. 😞
That definitely doesn't sound like the experience you should be having. I'm sorry it is giving you so much trouble. Did you try reaching out to the manufacturer for help?

Help me understand the value of this. Won't you still want to plug the phone in to charge it. And if you do, then why do you care if AA uses a wired connection.
If you constantly have your phone charging, it can degrade the battery over time. Also, for some people, weird Android auto has connection issues. I really enjoy not needing to take my phone out of my pocket or Search for my cable each time I get in my car. If I need to charge, my car has a wireless charger.
When wired and there's a heavier than usual bump on the road AA disconnects and takes a few seconds to reappear. Hopefully this prevents that from happening because you're not constantly plugging and unplugging it - any tiny USB C or USB Micro socket will loosen over time from doing so.

AAwireless must be the only one that is to tight to include even a basic start up manual in the price. For me that is a minus in my books, and 30 seconds is bloody slow. My Carlinkit 4.0 is probably faster than that,

Its great but I guess wireless android auto will drain your battery so quick that you will need to connect your phone anyway
I haven't run into any extra battery drain with wireless thankfully.
At the moment we have screen mirroring only, for Android phones on BMW & MINI. Do u have a dongle that can show Android Auto on a BMW & MINI?

Hey man quick question. How does it work to use the phone data like 3G/4G/5G network if you conect your phone to the Dongle with wi-fi?
It connects via Bluetooth. App your normal functionality is available with it connected
