Hey Roxana! Great to see you as always. I see you are gearing up for the cold season. I love lemongrass and it matures so quickly. I harvest and drink the tea all winter. Great video- take care chica!!🤩
Hi, Roxana! I love lemongrass sautéed in buterr with garlic and shrimp!🥰😋 I got a division from a neighbor 3 years ago. Now I have 3 huge clumps of it. It comes back here in SC zone 8. I want to learn how to infuse into soaps and lotions, etc. I agree. The smell is intoxicating!❤
Thank you. I actually just researched lemongrass harvesting. Your video was perfect. I have 3 large plants. I’m in zone 8b, so they will not like winter weather here either. I’ve never cooked with it before; I love the appearance plus it’s repellent to mosquitoes. I’m going to try tea. I added some to herbs I picked and it was good.
I’m not familiar with cooking lemongrass or growing, but I have had essential oil of lemongrass and love the scent. Can it be preserved? We had 25F by 1am and knew it was the end of season. I haven’t looked under the low tunnels yet to see if cauliflowers, beets, turnips and peas are still ok, but if not they will be added to a new tumbling composter when it arrives. The only flowers still going are snapdragons, calendula and maybe a rose and Gomphrena are still colorful but the vegetation is not. So it begins! Tomorrow is dig bulbs day as they were all nipped. Then soon garlic bulbs go in. And move a few lily bulbs into more sun. Fun! 😏😄
Love the idea of those bundles! I’m doing that.
I needed this information. Thank You So Much!
I planted lemongrass this year. It looks similar. I didn't know what to do with it. So this video is very helpful!

Yes! Thank you!
We love lemongrass. We use a lot in cooking soup. At Asian market sells 3-4 stalks for $1-$2
Creative ideas! Thank you.
You are so welcome!
I bet the cold got my lemongrass last night. I’m still going to harvest some of it later today

Oh that's awesome. Does it bloom for you? I have never seen even a tiny bud form on mine.
@SoilandMargaritas No, I've never seen it bloom.😳 I never thought about that! Interesting.

You may be able to heavy mulch it and maybe it will come back for you. Good luck!
Lemons grass is best for tea.
It is delightful!

Fun fun! Lots of cleaning around here as well, good luck!
You should ferment some into vinegar. Makes an amazing vinegar for cleaning and hair rinse. Thanks for the great video
Thanks for the idea!
