- I am a keys guy.
- Oh wow wee, what kind of music do you play?
- Symphonic technical brutal death metal.
^operatic.
Why did Dethklok come to mind
DIUUA Well the drums sounds like Brutal Death...
LOL
same things goes for Valeria -I´m a soprano -cool!! do you sing in an opera or in an theater play? -.....
If anyone could be Jesus and Satan at the same time, it's this drummer.
+Gawillamon He should just change his name to how.
Hans Gruber Lol
Plus, you know he's actually a captured and reprogrammed T-1000 sent back through time to bang john Connors mom.
Hans Gruber Relative. I just watched Terminator: Genisys last night haha.
Damn, he couldn't even fix his drumkit enough!
I demand to see these guys performing in a theater, with the orchestra and the choir
Indeed!! They have to perform in an opera house or something
Hell yeah exactly what I thought when I saw them live!!!
No!! xque siempre tiene más protagonismo la orquesta🙄
Do you know any more similar bands like these which combine orchestral elements too
@@erronblack5015 tons, but I'm really bad with names on the top of my head and I often forget. Recently tho I got into Brymir's discography, great stuff
This is Art. No more words.
Exactly. I reckon they need another keyboardist for live shows. Some stuff is playing off backing track, not saying its bad but would be even better :D
I fully agree dude :D
i Dead they need a full orchestra haha
Dane Houshower For sure, would be amazing. They should film one show that way, even add orchestra to their old material for the show :D
I'm sure someday they will when they get more money haha
Pretty sure Francesco Paoli, drums, sees everyday life in slow motion.
@@derkcapalot3422 paolis pieces are actually faster and a lot of aaron kitchers Songs are triggered I mean yeah he played the song in the Video flawlessly but if you would remove the triggers it would probably Sound way lees powerful
@@raymondbauer2152 The same would happen to Francesco. Especially since he played using double stroke techniques. Triggers mean absolutely nothing, educate yourself on the matter before commenting.
The thing with Aaron was the quantization and how obvious it was when you could clearly see the beaters in unison while hearing 16th and 32th notes at high speeds.
@@raymondbauer2152 i love when people think triggers are cheating. do you not realize that triggers make mistakes more prominent? and when you talk about power behind the strokes, when you're playing at those speeds, no one has lots of power behind them. it's too fast to get the kind of power you need which is why 99.9999999999% of drummers who can actually play that fast use triggers in the studio. at least know what you're talking about when you start with the trigger excuses.
@@agentsmith413 you're right I wasn't really informed about those types of things back then but you gotta say that Paoli is probably still the better live drummer of those 2 as kitcher doesn't even play liveshows and probably wouldn't play as tight also Im not sure but I think you need a lot more endurance for fleshgod songs than for Infant Annihilator songs because some of Fleshgod songs are literally constant doublebass while IA has more pauses in them (maybe that isn't true either but It kind off feels like that to me)
@@raymondbauer2152 i agree 100% with all of that. i think overall Paoli is a better drummer but i would say(specifically) in short spurts Kitcher can play faster and i believe is a bit more technical than Paoli but overall i think Paoli is a beast and an overall better drummer and would destroy Kitcher when it comes to endurance.
Wikipedia tells me that this actual drummer was a guitar player and singer in the band till 2009.
How can you play drums like this and be a guitar player??? lol
Only Italian crazy bastards!
Look up the dude from Before the Dawn/Wolfheart. Tomi...something or other. He writes/plays everything for his bands. There are some talented people out there
Francesco is a talented dude
Pretty sure he had to learn how to play drums in about a year for this band.. That's just inhuman
No human can learn in 1 year (not even in 5), from nothing, what he's playing here...It's logical that he knew how to play drums before -_-
He was singer guitar player on their first album and was also singer guitar player for Hour Of Penance for a while too. He was the main vocalist on The Vile Conception.
I don't think it's appreciated enough that a technical death metal band has a freaking pianist. Great band all around, one of my new favorites
All of them are virtuosos
Technical death?? Idk they are more black just w deeper vocals
@@RobBarron-lj3ok They are as technical as it gets, especially the albums Labyrinth and King are some of the most complex written pieces of music you can find...
every song has a legitimate classical piece written as a background, the guitars are written like a 1st and 2nd violin respectively just with distortion , the drums are not only fast but also follow the melody of the song and at last there's also a *freaking pianist* subtly elevating each track even through the onslaught of noise. Dissect any part of their instrumentals and you'll find virtuous tracks for every instrument they use, especially their writing for guitars is criminally underrated because they are hard to dissect from the admittetly bloated mix
(Pathfinder, Elegy, Minotaur and The Fool are some of the best examples for that)
i love how the corpspaint guy in the audience is like "this aint immortal"
João Paulino Hahahahhah
João Paulino I think he’s scared.
You'll shit bricks when you realize they played the violation even faster... lol.
It must be the same time. They have the back tracks to follow
Ricardo Neto You can speed up the "back track" if you want, that´s just a computer. but I don´t think it´s faster than the original. Awesome band anyway :)
František Takács Yeah, I know. I didn't check with a metrometer lol but I think it's exactly the same tempo. I know you can do anything these days with a computer. I just think that if you speed up you will lose sound quality. Of course in a live gig it's not too relevant, even so...
it's not actually faster. perhaps the picking is more hyperactive, but the parts them selves align quite well. www.youtubedoubler.com/ one way to check it out. figure out the exact timesignature and align them yourself
also, backing track can theoretically be sped up but that is never done. why bother? there's an imperative you forget. set length. you want to fill your set as evenly as you should, but stick to your given slot. this basically means that the bands have figured out what songs to play and how long the set would be. if they obey the click, which itself follows the backing track, theres no slipping. fans get many many songs, and the band looks professional as fuck. everyone wins.
R.I.P. to the drum kit!
😄👍
the drumkit was ready to fall apart...
Jelly Drums
😁👍
That drummer is a machine
+SpiritMolecule1 LOOL!!
He is not a machine, machines break down occasionally
+damion mccauther Yeah He is god
gway you gobshite and he is prety good the only god part of the band
+Oliver Quinn Everyone in this band are amazing at what they do. I consider myself a talented bassist, and his bass lines are ridiculously hard. Everyone in this band brings in their own talent...(hence why it's called a band) Fleshgod itself is God.....Though I will admit the drummer is probably one of the better death metal drummers on the planet.
I like what description says:
"See what it would be like, if Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir would decide to perform on the same stage at the same time!"
Thank you!:)
YW!! I actually thought the same the first time I heard them :D
+Cataract87 You can't really deny that it sounds like a pretty good mix between the two though? Personally I think it's really good
I always saw this band as a spiritual reincarnation of Ackercocke
+renshammar Behemoth is such an different style, that makes it hard to believe that. Yet, this sounds more like "If Dimmu Borgir still had their shit together", or even " Dimmu Borgirs returns to Spiritual Black Dimensions´s times". Regardless, Fleshgod is pretty much the top of the genre, nowadays.
When you're true metalhead but your biggest inspiration is Mozart
Evil Mozart !! 😀👍
For 98% of the population it's chaotic noise, for me: Best fucking band ever, damn i love them!!
99,9%* ahahah
1000% agree!! Out of the hundreds of death metal bands I love, Fleshgod is at the top of the pile for sure!! One of my favorites out there as is Hour of Penance. I am lovin the Italian death metal scene right now!!
I cant agree more with you
I'm in these 2%
yea there kinda all over the place honestly lol
I made a huge mistake when I missed these guys last time they came to town. That will not happen again.
yeah me too dude it sucked!
THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!! Getting Veronica to come with them and support Paolo for the high vocal parts was a great call, she adds a LOT live. And for everyone who wanted the guitar higher in the mix than on the record - well, here it is. \m/
I fucking hate her, hope they're gonna get rid of her on the next album. Ruins their music imho. :(
The violation .
+Nathan Marchack They actually ruined his parts, opera-style female vocals sound way too dramatic for this band, also, she doesn't know when to shut up. She's not only 'supporting' Paolo (even though he should be able to sing that which he sings in the studio), she's ruining cool instrumental parts as well. Won't go see them live as long as she is with them.
cry babies cry...
what a drummer, must has some solid legs. 45mins of dubble pads full speed...
Guess he's using synthetic legs 😂
The Italian flag at the end of the concert! XD
Fleshgod Apocalypse is one of the best Italian death metal band ever!
One of the best band of all time period :)
Best italian band ever
@@okkefaber9993 they or deathspell omega ....can't decide!!!
In world
Veronica's voice is exactly what Metal needs today.
Her voice is really good, but the constant vibrato puts me off bigtime. It's why I can't listen to opera. I don't get why so many singers do it so much.
@@winterbear8633 Vibrato is cool bruh.
How did anyone survive that show.
High speed moshing to align with the shockwaves.;)
Fantastic answer!
What a beautiful Tsunami !!! 😁👍
Now I know the reason Dimmu haven't released an album in 6 years. Frankly with these new guys on the scene who cares. Hail the new gods.
yeah this is like Dimmu but better
savage lol
Fuck Dimmu
I like fleshgod but dimmu is stilla abovr on my list not with talent but yeah dimmus music sounds better to me
Veronica's solo at the end of The Forsaking was absolutely beautiful. Made it sound even better than before.
thank you very much :)
Veronica ValchiRea Bordacchini
i like you. hehe
Acen gazzledie wow thanks.
Veronica ValchiRea Bordacchini you add such beauty to such a destructive, melodic sound. Love your work, and hope to hear more from this amazing combination of Fleshgod and yourself. \m/
What solo?
I find it hilarious that stuff like this exists, and yet the music world completely ignores metal. It's not like they review metal albums and say they aren't any good... they flat out ignore their existence. Yet, a lot of metal albums ARE flat out classical music and outsell just about any classical album released in the past 20 years. Granted, Fleshgod is more like a movie sound track, but there's plenty of seriously advanced classical style metal out there.
Preach, brother.
Most people just aren't ready for something this epic...you gotta dumb it down for the sheeple
You have to understand that this kind of extreme metal is the most intense music experience out there, once you here this there is nothing more intense than this not even dubstep or whatever shit, extreme metal is just the most intense form of music. Some people just can't stand agains this, their brains get melted hahahaha. Well our brains get melted aswell but we are use to it and we like the feeling.
Alan Friedl what about harsh noise music?
@@Bitchfinder_General I have to confess that i never heard of it, and if i did it its not in my considerations by some reason. It whould be nice if you recomend any song or band that do that type of music you are pointing.
the drummer is by far the most talented musician of the band. but they're all brilliant!
Not only is his drumming out of this world, he also played the guitar in their first album. Pretty sure it was lead guitar too. Freaking insane.
+TheWildHealer And now he's back on vocals/guitars.
he was the guitarist/singer
TheExisting 1 And now he is again.
Seems almost like a waste of his drumming skills to have him on guitar again, but then again, the guy that'll replace him on drums is probably really good as well
God that drummer is completely insane. The violation is crazy fast
Paolo Rossi voice always gives me more gosebumps, such an incredible band with incredible musicians.
their costumes are awesome
From what planet is the drummer?
Italy.
pizza planet
I'm pretty sure he's from earth
Saturn, same as Aaron Stechauner although he's from Saturn's Rings
Italy.
I was there... great show
;)
lucky bastard
Ever watch a 42 minute video then immediately watch it again louder?
lol!
40:53 Even the piano wanted to take a picture with them!
Haha well spotted
The drummer is not human!!!!!!!! A machine! Damn epic!!!!!!
One of the most impressive bands to ever play metal. The combination of death with symphonic is just outstanding. Minotaur, Pathfinder, The Violation are just beautifully written.
Finalmente un gruppo ITALIANO di altissimo livello
Li ascolto ininterrottamente.
Probably one of the best l bands in death metal, the conceptual work, the epicness, the brutality... That´s Fleshgod Apocalypse
This is one of the few live recordings of this band, where you can actually hear the guitars. Finally.
The moment when not even airdrumming allows you to reach dat speed.
Seems like I saw this band like 6 years ago and I don't recall being blown away. Wtf this is God Mode Metal!!
I love the female vocalist they have with them here and in the new video for Epilogue. She is simply amazing.
Am i the only one that finds it amazing when the Camera guy focuses on the bassist when there's the guitar solo going on ?
i love how the water bottles are shaking from the drums at 8:21
even the water bottles are headbanging
That drum kit is getting the unholy fuck kicked out of it hahaha crazy!! :O
We are Fleshgod Apocalypse, from Italia!!!
i've been searching for these guys high quality live performance for years. Thanks for uploading this up
That ending is so perfect! I pray that I will get to see them soon at some point! They are amazing! lml
Italy always a step ahead! Incredible!
This go further than music, this is ART!
This album labyrinth should be used as the soundtrack for the upcoming god of war game, amazing and epic!
These guys have inspired me a LOT. I wish the best for them, and I am very excited for their new album.
That Italian guy watching at the front row seems really proud of his fellow countrymen, but me too even I’m not Italian. They are one of the best metal act this days.
holy shit I love this band
Wow, one of the best live I have been given to watch. Love them in studio and also in live. Stunning !
The Forsaking is one of the most beautiful songs ever written!
Funny...that description of Fleshgod Apocalypse, "if Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir would decide to perform on the same stage at the same time!", actually reminds me more of Septicflesh ;)
It's basically Septicflesh played at X4 speed.
I fucking love this band.
This is so freakin' good that I'm at loss for words.
This is one of the best albums and live performances I have ever heard or seen.
I don't know how many times I have watched this performance but it gets better and better every time. The pianist is down right amazing let alone the whole band. Incredible.
Man that double bass on The Violation is awesome.
Seen these dudes on tour this past October. Boy they are monsters live, that mosh pit was insane - easily the best concert of 2022 for me.
Love that these guys can pull off their incredible sound live. The Egoism sounds even better live, they also play other songs faster than on record. How the fuck is that possible?
my band opened for them in new york and dude they sound perfect if not better live its amazing
Every member of this band shreds so hard!! It’s incredible to watch this insanity
"Full Show" without Minotaur song --'
That one will be included on the upcoming Live at Wacken 2014 DVD, to be released on 21st of November: udr-music.com/index.php/liveatwacken-info
WackenTV Then it's not the full show
False advertising!!!!
Hey, take it for what it is. They didn't even have to upload this online. I know i'll never be able to go to Wacken, so this is good enough for me.
Metal \m/ good. their latest album sucked
Seeing them in October! Can't wait after seeing this performance.
One of my favourite bands, I hope to see them live one day.
One of the best band all times! \m/
This band should be dominating the earth. They're all crazy crazy talented musicians.
I love it
No one mentions Tommaso, he was a really good rythim guitarrist who could play like that and deliver excellent, brutal and high energy vocals, with perfect pronunciation in his secondary (or third, I don't know for sure) language.
Who coming back for 20th time to show a friend this masterpiece?😅
Totalmente brutal.
Foda demais :D
Cehloko. Muito foda
2 weeks before I get to these guys,
Can't wait!!!!
"The Violation", a song inspired by what Francesco does to the drums.
I'm so happy for you guys !!!
This is the best line up ..brutal ..the drummers on vocals like back in the days ..they need this line up again
What a performance! These guys would be something to remember that's for sure!
The best of last decade IMO
FGA -the favorite band of my car stereo ("Agony" album)
Love this band lml
amazing stuff ! I'm blown away !
This band is phenomenal. Unique to say the least.
Sometimes it's hard to imagine that we all live in the same world as the pop artists, even though they sound so astronomically different!!
Amazing orchestrations!
Epic just as I remember when I saw them last. Incredible band \m/
😀👍
Nunca assisti nem ouvi algo tão incrível , ainda mais ao vivo . Sem palavras !!!
eles vão ao Brasil em breve.
Damn alright i gotta see them this is incredible
That drumming is causing an earth quake.
Holy shit this band is brutal, all of these guys are awesome, that is the fucking metal that we need for ever! long live to them, thanx for it...
So excited to see these guys with Carach Angren and Abigail Williams. Will be one hell of a show!!!
+Ian Vickrey I'm seeing that tour in Orlando...first stop after 70000 Tons of Metal. should be epic!
Which show were you at? I played drums for Abigail on that tour
+Cody Johns I was at the winter park show, I think it was the first night of the tour. you guys killed too! you got great sound out of such a small place.
+Cody Johns I was at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco...
Nice, that was a solid show. Good pizza too!
god of war metal
Absolutely fantastic. Nothing more.
che poi dal vivo so perfetti
this performance is so crazy good. i would do just about anything to see fleshgod live
This band is perfect, they are one of the most talented musicians
See you in October in London guys, can't wait!!!
Had the honor of beholding this era of fleshgod. They played a small (compared to this) venue in Wichita, KS. And fucking shredded just like this. It was incredible.
I fucking love symphonic death metal!!!
Damn they're good live.
This is so fucking insane! \m/
En sudamerica tienen un publico a su altura muchachos! Estos son muy fríos.
Que pedazo de banda la puta madre! No los puedo dejar de escuchar!
Finally good bass drum sounds!
Pure art. Congratulations to the band.
HOLY GOD!! ITS FUCKING UNREAL THESE GUYS!!
