That soprano makes the epic music more dramatic. Kudos to the soprano. Seeing a soprano in metal bands are pretty usual, like Tarja Turunen, but seeing a soprano in a symphonic death metal band is just simply epic and dramatic.

Any other bands like this? With female opera like vocals and keyboards? Augury is the only band I've found. I mean there's Epica, I like them but looking for that and heavier.

Dimmu Borgir is pretty similar with orchestral stuff, but they're more black metal than Fleshgod. And Igorrr sounds nothing like FA lol

You need to give big bucks to sound good live while being a symphonic metal band and that's the reason why bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse and SepticFlesh always are unimpressive live.

honestly their stuff isn't even that great. Scepticfleshs two latest records were pretty bad. I liked "King" by FGA but all the riffs were a wall of chugga chugga.

I love this song. the only problem I have is the female opera singer. sure, she's absolutely incredible in the album, but it lacks any real atmosphere without the symphony accompanying her. it sounds empty and kind of cheesy in my opinion.
Yeah, I agree. It'd be crazy with if they had a live orchestra. I feel like the only part that works starts at 1:49. Other than that I agree with you 100%

+KING3407 yeah, but even then, she's still overpowering the orchestral parts, which i don't really enjoy.
She's great live. It's just that the mix is horrible. It's not the singer it's the sound. Wacken videos always have poor mixes.
