The fact that the intro of this song is "the prayin 'mantis' strategy" is because female praying mantis usually find couples who at any time eat the head of the male mantis. and this song is about a man's obsession with a woman, which makes him "lose his head". simply a masterpiece👌

Long overdue and mostly because they have been working their asses off in the past year of touring. Unfortunately, though, there are still meathead metalheads out there who have no concept of how amazing Fleshgod is.
Literally best metal album last year and they still don’t get the recognition they deserve

@@TheSentinel909 I think it is in the contrasts between the slower and/or melodic parts and the fast or heavy sounds that make the heavy sounds come forth more. If a song is constantly fast and heavy, you will get "used" to it and maybe it doesn't sound as heavy anymore then.

For most of my life I thought T.Holopainens compositional mastery was unsurpassed, in the entire hard rock/metal genre. Now I see I was wrong. And I see why Epica, another masters of the genre, made a project with FGA. FGA, please, more songs like this!

@@zinestheticluminescence lol but have you heard their first 4 albums? Most of those, the entire song is just one gigantic blast beat. Its fuckin heavy as shit and sounds good but it does get a little repetitive. Just in case you arent familiar, blast beat is where the snare, kick, and a symbol (normally ride) are hit in unison, often very quickly, though they can be syncopated and there are other variations.
I've only listened to their first album and a few songs from their latest 2 albums. I can't say I'm a huge fan of blastbeats. It's just not very... musical? If it weren't for the symphonic/orchestral parts they would've just been another death metal band with a kickass drummer. This newer stuff sounds refreshing, not a constant wall of noise. Blast beats are good when they're used properly for a few seconds to give intensity to a section, otherwise it's just grating on your ears in my opinion.
KenoxProductions I agree blast beats are awesome but they can lose power if used too much. Less is more sometimes
Listen to Worship and Forget from Veleno, its Blast Beats almost all the way through and with 280 BPM even faster than the Violation. They still have that stuff, but they're incorporating more and more other Elements. I like both, the old style and the new
@@KenoxProductions Well tbh, you're downgrading Oracles and Agony too much. Those albums have some amazing musicianship and very interesting concepts, just because they are one giant blast beat it doesn't mean they have less value. Fan of both new and old FA, but old FA was also very good, less creative, but more prodigal
