Appreciate your input Chaz as I know how hard you work to promote/defend our hobby. From a snake keeper who strives to keep my animals in the best conditions with the best of everything. I’m constantly trying to educate friends, family & public but find myself defending my animals more often than not from hardline ‘haters’. After experiencing my animals with hands on demonstrations I’ve converted many opinions. How do we achieve this ‘en-mass’?
Thanks so much for your articulate and well considered thoughts. I didn’t know about the show before but I’ll probably give it a miss unless I have an urge to feel incredibly sad about the prejudice our reptilian friends face.
I know this doesn't have to do with the video but are you gonna do anymore videos about false water cobras cause I'm looking for more updated videos about them.
Abit late, but I think that ingrained phobia is natural, I'm a reptile lover and got my snake from you before the covid times and every one who sees her for the first time have a similar response that on 80% of cases goes from a why? To interest and curiosity the moment I get her out of her enclosure.
Just watched the programme and was put off in the first couple of minutes when he called himself an activist which is becoming a modern title for someone who is insane, but exotic pets is something that is fluid as a teen I kept ferrets to many they would be exotic to a county lad they are quite the norm my snake and gecko on the other hand I am considered not the norm as they are more exotic. Probably because snakes instil fear because some are venomous then their is how snakes are perceived in fiction including the bible.
Why would anyone willing go onto a show like that (other than to get 5mins of fame) you would have to be so naive to think the show makers would do anything but twist your words and anyone who thought they could "change the hobby" shows their lack of experience and shouldn't have been representing the hobby on television
But what do expect from channel 4 they are the same as the BBC. everyone knows their joke, and the people do not take anything seriously from these woke channel

Glad you're talking about this. It was so unfair and unjustified. The complete lack of understanding was...
I'll leave it to you.
