I was around 8 when I got my first snake thanks to an uncle who was keeping, this was around 94-95ish a wee Ribbon snake, spent all my time in the library reading everything I could on reptiles even took it in to school for a show and tell lol.
Excellent video. I have to say I just don't think Royals are ideal pets - the poor guys tend to be so shy and retiring that I hate to see them subjected to the frequent handling that may come with being a family pet. Though not mentioned in the video, I do think some of the Antaresia as well as Bredl's can be fantastic pets.
