Thanks for this great tutorial. Unfortunately, it does not work in my Blender. After I generate rig, the bones (and body parented to them) do not follow the rig. When I move the bones, the body moves. When I move the rig elements -- they move, but bones and body do not. What I may be doing wrong?
Everything seems to be working up until the end when I try moving the controllers and my armature does not move with it. It is parented correctly, I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.
For some reason my meshes fingers are getting stuck when attempting to move the rig around, it creates a really weird stretching look and I can't properly animate/pose. Any ideas why?
I'm wondering why I don't have the option "with automatic weight" idk if it's a glitch or i just don't have the rifht version , i have blender 4.2 and I need help pls :(
what do i do if when i press auto rig, the orange lines or the rig are not wrapped around the characters arms, but instead hovering a foot above the real arm bones
Ok, I don't know why, but this addon doesn't show up for me in the version downloaded from the official site. However, in the version installed from steam, it is there
man .. when i press generate rig .. for me i not doing what it did to you, i just get a rig a normal rig. i don't get that one that you get .. why is that ? and i se that mine says Re-Generate Rig .. and idk why .. and i try again and still says Re-Generate Rig ...

I had this issue too, if you're still having trouble, try applying all transforms on your rig and mesh, this solves the issue for me.
Will you make a guide on rigging hands with finger bones too?

What if I get error like "Heat Weighting: Failed to find solution for one or more bones"?
try merging vertices by distance in edit mode and also apply scale and transformations lastly go to object convert to mesh and that should solve it

in Object Mode , Press A (select bone and mesh) , press Ctrl + A ==> select All Transforms

bro, how do you weight paint on this rig, it shows no weight and the vertex group are name DEF suffix.... so frustrating
he use automatic weighing. if you use the complex human rig thats different matter
@@skarhabekgreyrukh8601 i use meta rig with automatic weight, but I can't paint the vertex if I don't select the Def bone collection
After I parent the bone to the object under the Automatic weight my object deform. Any tips?

i saw that i had two "rigs" and delete them and then select a second time "metarig" and than i had it! Maybe you have delete one rig too? :))
@@katit9860 no .. i found out what was my problem, i had some vertices that i had to merge and than i got that fancy Rig

I think it's normal and nothing special. it rigifies in blender 4.2 even in lower blender versions.
So what exactly are you trying to say?
Your tutorial does not apply to 4.2 build rigging. What a waste...!!
