We also have a HH/Boondockers membership and have for 2 or 3 years. We love it as it gives the flexibility of changing it up on where we stay. As a matter of fact we are planning our next long adventure, 1 to 2 months, and are looking at utilizing HH even more on this next trip. I agree that sometimes it is more expensive than a regular campground, but I think with careful planning we can cut down the expenses a lot, based on the types of places we stay.
Hi David, I agree with you. We have stayed at some amazing places. My favorite this year was Skydive Chicago. Broke the bank on that one! Lol 😂 Loved jumping out of a perfectly good plane at 13,000 feet. Stan and Rhonda ❤️
Wow! What beautiful scenery. Great tip on the hose, you never know what the youth of today are capable of, and what they think is funny. We absolutely love our harvest host and use it often. A lot of our HH stays have become some of our favorite adventures. You are correct about spending too much money at times. It is very easy to do. Nice video! Butch and Becky 😀😀
Hello Butch and Becky, so we tried our hardest to use Harvest Host this season and failed miserably. It was to hot 🥵 without electricity. Although our best Harvest Host was Skydive Chicago. Again spent to much money but I did jump out of a plane. We can always join again! Definitely not in the summer. We stayed at a church parking lot Harvest Host. They were so kind and let us plug in. Thank you for joining us. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda ❤️
Hi Stuward, stay tuned the fun is about to begin. This was a tough one going across the country. We have a few more stops before we get to Goshen Indiana. The big jump out of the plane is coming in a few more episodes. Thanks for joining us! Stan and Rhonda❤️
You bet! We wouldn’t have thought about that either! We love how this community watches out for each other 👏 Thanks for hanging out with us again this week! We appreciate you 🫶 ~ Rhonda and Stan
I love it you guys are living the dream and thank you for sharing we will never go where you guys go so I love seeing the things that you guys are seeing through your eyes, I don't think that we can ever boondock and try to convince her will be out of the questions. We are committed to our church because we both are pastors so getting away like you guys will be hard we do get away but just not like you guys, thank you again for posting.
Hello Bishop George, thank you for your comment. It truly brings us joy we can minister to pastors! We are all about shining the light of the Lord every where we go. Who knows what the Lord has in store for us. We are happy you can live vicariously through our eyes. That blesses us tremendously. May God bless your ministry! Love In Christ, Stan and Rhonda❤️🙏🏼❤️
Hey Tim, Not sure I would have won any medals🏅but thanks for the encouraging words 🫶 We sure look forward to hearing from you and appreciate how you make us chuckle every week! ~ Rhonda and Stan
Completely understand....we figured out the same. It's NOT a free stay...at the least it's the same or more than a campground. However, make stops at places that we would, ordinarily, buy things we need for the trip. For instance, a farm where they sell eggs, beef or pork, instead of getting all that at the grocery store we buy it at a Harvest Host, that way we also help out a local small business. Or we work into our budget eating at an HH brewery we might stay at, which we would do if we were staying elsewhere nearby anyhow.
Hi Michelle, we were all over it when we would find a farm. The best stay were the wineries. If you can stay along the vineyard. The most amazing HH was Skydive Chicago with electricity. All and all it was a matter choice. Most HH we visited were way off the beaten path although beautiful, it can be a little rough. We do not like taking our rig down dirt roads. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!! We love reading them. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Loved the video guys! Thanks for the tip on the hose. Ok you convinced us on HH. How are you feeling on Elks? Some of them aren’t in great areas. We love the Reflection 303rls as well! We’re just trying to figure out what to do with our bikes! What are you thinking? Great video, guys! Always a joy! D & L
Hi Dan and Lyndi, thank you for joining us. We love the Elks Lodges. You are right you need to be aware of your surroundings. Yes some are not in very good neighborhoods. We try to avoid those. The ones we have stayed at were great!! We are thinking a good bike rack on the back with good covers. That way they are accessible when ever we need them. We saw these guys at the Balloon Fiesta. The had a flip up carrier the put their generator on. It was a flat and you strap them down like in the bed of the truck. That’s another thought. At least on the back they will be some what protected when going down the road. We go back and forth. We love our 2500RL. What’s funny the 303RLS will take up less room in the garage. Have a great week! Blessings, Stan and Rhonda❤️
@@lyndiruzicka6217 thank you guys ❤️. We definitely going to pray about it and take a good look at them in the next couple months and see what Lord wants us to do.
We are HH members and just returned from a 6wk, 5,500mi. trip. We stayed at 3 HH locations and came away unhappy. Each stop cost us between $45-60 and we were parked in less-than-desirable locations. We look for inexpensive places (COE, Federal campgrounds…anything on Rec.Gov since we’re seniors). We won’t renew our HH membership after this year.
Hi John, totally agree with you! However, the best Harvest Host ever was Skydive Chicago. I broke the bank and had to jump out of a plane. I also had to get the media package. That was our last Harvest Host and left with a bang. 😂 I will be turning 62 in April so everything changes at that point. Love the COE campgrounds. Take advantage of the lower priced campgrounds too! Thank you for joining us. Stan and Rhonda
We know exactly where you are at. We are in the South Lot about 1.7 miles away from the field. We will be at area B5 tonight working on the balloon crew.
@@OverTheHillAdventures Ah, okay. We are leaving tomorrow. I was hoping to meet you, but time will not allow for it. Be safe and enjoy working working with the crew members.
Sorry our paths didn’t cross this time. We are planning on being at the Lake Havasu Arizona Balloon Festival in January! They have RV reservations available now. Let us know if you plan on going! 👍
Wow long travel days but some nice stops. The bicycle ride was amazing. Have you tried pickle ball yet? They just opened a Grand Design dealership in Green Bay Wisconsin not looking for a new camper but we are going to go check it out. I’m with you on HH we don’t have it and don’t think we will get it. We do county parks and $20-30 with power and water works for us. Not sure if you’re still in MI. but hope you’re having a great time Drive safely. Thanks From Wisconsin
Hello Bob and Cathy, we haven’t yet. We definitely need someone to show us. It’s a big deal!! The Harvest Host are incredible. However, sometimes you have to go off the beat and path. We are racing to Albuquerque New Mexico for the balloon fiesta. It’s just nice to pull off into a KOA and back on the road. Much better than a parking lot in our next episode. However, we stay at an amazing County Park. Stay tune we have a good one coming. Thank you for joining us each week! Blessings, Stan and Rhonda
Stan, have you had many problems with your unit? I’m trying to decide on a unit like yours or a fifth wheel of moderate size not a 40+ rig. Thanks for sharing your travels with us.
We are HH and BW members. We like to use them on the way to our destinations. Depending on the specific HH or BW, we may stop for dinner before we arrive so we don’t have to unhitch.
Hello Claudia, thank you for your thoughts. Being Elk Members has really changed things for us. We have found some incredible places. Stan and Rhonda ❤️
Hi Karla, We didn’t end up renewing. We just didn’t find it was worth the cost for us when we only used it a few times. Sometimes the locations are out of the way as well. We have talked to alot of folks who love it, but just not now for us. 🥰
Hi Phil, it is old school percolator coffee on the fire 🔥. Give you a great zing for the morning!! Thank you for your kind words and joining us. Stan and Rhonda❤️
As to Harvest Host, ( and Boondockers Welcome ), we have traveled over 12K miles in the past 10 months and have used them quite a bit. ( probably more than 50 nights ) We like mixing it up between State Parks, City/County Parks and commercial campgrounds with the Harvest Host locations too. I highly recommend this program. We travel in a Itasca Navion 24V.
That is great!! It does work for some folks. We have traveled over 33,000 miles in a little over 2 1/2 years. We have definitely stayed at some phenomenal places. We have also stayed at some tough places. Thank you for your thoughts and joining us. Stan and Rhonda❤️
Hi Tom, one thing for sure travel shoulder season you be prepared for all kinds of. All in all the weather was amazing!! Thank you for joining us. Stan and Rhonda❤️
Thank you for not only sharing your adventure, but always giving great information. Blessings

Visited the Great Sand Dunes a couple of years ago. Also had a rainstorm roll through and end our day sooner than we'd have liked.
So you didn’t have to, I mean get to, climb the dunes either 😜
We did get to climb them. But got chased off when the weather turned ugly. @@OverTheHillAdventures
Definitely don’t want to be out there in a thunderstorm ⛈️
