CANCELLED RV HARVEST HOSTS STOP TO STAY AT A COUNTY PARK / WAS IT WORTH IT? / NOVEL DUMP STATION

- 🥵Stan and Rhonda from Over The Hill Adventures travel during a heat wave to Fort Morgan, Colorado. They were met with temperatures over 100 degrees while they stayed in the parking lot of Elevating Life Church, a Harvest Hosts. They were blessed to be able to use the electricity to run their RV air conditioning. The following morning they decide to cancel their next Harvest Hosts stay at a classic car museum parking lot in Kearney, Nebraska and continue down I-80 to Hall County Park in Grand Island, Nebraska. For only $30 dollars a night, with electricity, Stan and Rhonda felt they found a gem. They share their thoughts on how this beautifully "manicured" RV county park is, INCLUDING the dump station that has a novel design they have never seen before!

Cicadas, and they love heat. They were bad in Minnesota this year too. We had a real hot summer as well. Labor Day weekend was high 90s which is abnormal. There is a lot of awesome county parks in Minnesota as well. That is where we camp a lot.
YES! Iowa...my safe place. Cicadas or Locust is that great noise...a really large flying bug. Great video again and thanks for sharing...have fun!! Peace

Thanks for video. July 2021, while traveling from NY to Colorado, we stayed at the FCFS campground in Aurora, NE. Not as nice as Hall county park but had electric & water + dump station. These "Fly Over States" have some of the best campgrounds!

You cracked us up with the tree crickets- it is a combination of bugs and mostly Cicadas- smart move and a great find with the city park!
You past Kearny, Neb. The bridge, it's a pioneer museum it's a great break.
Cicadas insects we have them in TX too. Wikipedia search had a sound track.
Too bad you did not get to explore Fort Morgan. You definitely need the Level Mate Pro. And a back up camera for your RV. Bruce can’t believe you do not have these gadgets yet. LOL. 😅. Cicadas. They are horrible in the summer in the Midwest.
TN has them, also. They start around the 4th of July and end toward the end of September. Did look like a great state park. Enjoyed the video. Blessings

Those Cicadas are insane loud! Fun to hear them for about 5 minutes and then they drive me nuts! Also... you need a Level Mate Pro! Spend the extra money for the powered model. You will not regret getting one. Once it is set up and calibrated it makes leveling so easy!
