ℹ️ About the Episode:
Each season, we like to do an episode recap to break down what we learned and provide some tips in case you choose to follow in our footsteps. This season-the National Park Blitz-we have a lot to cover: the national parks we visited, the campgrounds we stayed at, helpful resources & apps, hidden gems and tips for visiting national parks with dogs. This episode includes a map of this season's route and all the national parks we visited. We had previously visited the "Mighty 5," including Arches, Bryce and Canyonlands. National parks we were able to "scratch off" our map included Capitol Reef, Mount Rainier, Olympic, North Cascades, Devils Tower and Wind Cave. Yet, the national parks we revisited were even better the second time around! It's impossible to see it all on the first visit. By going back, we can dive a bit deeper and explore further to discover even more.

I just love it when Kaleb tells Trish "Not with that Attitude!" That is my favorite moment of all your videos! He is such a cool kid!
Yes - that was a favorite. It needs to be a meme!
What a blessing to have KYD almost every Sunday👍
A thumbs up just isn’t enough to show how much we enjoyed this episode! Marc, Trish, Caleb and Charlie did an amazing job informing us about our national parks. Thank you so much for producing such an incredible episode. ❤❤❤❤❤
Caleb is the star of the show. We need to see more of him in your content. Actually, you are all stars. Very good editing and on screen presence. But we need to see more of Caleb and his humor. 😂
In purchasing my NP Pass many years ago as a senior I asked the clerk when it expired considering my large purchase price of $10.00. She said "sir, it expires when you do!" Sure been worth the money! Great episode....thanks for sharing all the info and great scenery. Oh, and even at $80.00 a year it's worth every penny!
It took us a year to pay for our National Park pass. Now we camp for next to nothing. It is one of the best things we have purchased.
Love KYD. Marc and Trish were a big reason why we got an RV. We have made some awesome memories in our first year, and we are so excited for summer 2023.
My kiddos and I have enjoyed this season so much! We did our own national park blitz with Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons. My smallest loves pointing out things in your videos that he has seen in real life, it melts my heart. Thank you for giving my family the continued encouragement to get out and create memories 💕
Great info this week Trish & Mark. Caleb, "Not with that attitude." LOL you're all so blessed. Safe travels. ♥️ Love you too Charlie 🐕
Mount Rushmore tip: Don't visit during bike week (second week of August in Sturgis). So much exhaust haze!
And once again, I travel places in my mind thanks to KYD...
we have done many of these spots on our motorcycles looking forward to visiting some with our toy hauler giving us the best of both worlds
Great recap! Loved watching them the first time, and living vicariously through your adventures. I can’t wait to see the next series. Love watching and would love to see the western United States some day. Keep up the GREAT videos and safe travels out there.
Thank you. We have enjoyed the valuable information. And it goes farther you have been generous to share this. We feel as though you are friends. Been a viewer for many years.
Love the Sunday videos. Thank you for taking us along.
Trish, GREAT JOB!!! Loved your video and all of the parks you covered. It was VERY informative! We really appreciate the time and effort you (and Marc) put into this video! Thanks!!!
This vid is one of the many reasons I love your channel. You know how to bring such value to tuning in, especially with your blogs. Thanks!
Thank you for all you do to share your adventures AND valuable information with us!
Love this recap!!! During our RV family days we have been to many of the National Parks that you highlighted. Ohh how I miss my RV! I want to get an easy to drive class B in the worst way and hit the road. Until that happens I am living vicariously through your KYD Family.
Thanks for being YOU ❤😊
Oh my I enjoyed seeing Charlie in this one. Some of it I remembered from before. The crisp clean water is so awesome as we don't have that in the Spring, TX area. When Charlie looks into the camera with those eyes it melts my heart. Thanks as was fun. Love y'all
Thanks for all your insight. Fun seeing some of the places we also have explored.
Thank you so very much for the content. You provide so much information and make it seem effortless. I feel certain many hours go into these videos and I/we thank you very much. These are references we will use over and over for our travels in the near future. Thanks again!
Just watched your first RV trip video. What a hoot! Thank you for giving a glimpse of your life. Really enjoyed the NW Montana episode. I worked law enforcement and lived there for 25 years. Maddie was a precious puppy!
Thank you sooo much for every thing you do and everything you share with us, such a treat. Looking forward to getting my new KYD hat.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Over the course of four months this past summer we visited Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Teton, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, and before heading back to Florida we visited the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
We ran into friends in Moab, who recommended that we try the GyPSy Guide app. This app gives a narrated guided tour of many of our national parks. It knows where you are via your smartphone GPS and doesn’t require a cell phone signal. We used it for Canyonlands, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon, and Mesa Verde. It is an awesome app and we were grateful to our friends for recommending it.
Fun video!!! We so enjoy your family and youtubes!
This was a great video encapusulating this seasons National Park travels.
I think the format is great and very informative. As usual Trish's narritive is very clear and understandable.
Thanks KYD! - Cheers!

The this is what I want clip is often what I think when I watch your show. Thank you for taking me away every Sunday to a new place and let me see it through your eyes.👌❤🚙
Loved the recap. I'm hitting a few of these NP's this next summer, so this gave me some ideas of what to do and/or places to stay. Love your channel.
I watched all those videos, and loved seeing this summary of the season!!
Another fine job. I appreciate all the effort you guys put in.
Thank you! Thank you! We’ve always enjoyed your music selection & now we can have it for ourselves. Next for sharing the information about the specific parks, suggestions, dos & maybe not for free!!!! It seems many UA-camrs charge for everything.
We live in Arizona also & enjoy seeing places we know about.
And last (for now) thank you for sharing your family & the events of it. Looking forward to 2023 with you all your adventures.
all of u r videos have been a joy to watch, keep the clips coming
Hi Marc & Trish, Just want to thank you for all of the great videos. You have truly inspired me. First by purchasing our first travel trailer early this year to get out and explore this wonderful country, and now I have just created and uploaded my first video to my new youtube, Get Out and Explore with John. I hope to inspire others as you have done for me. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Living your best life! Thanks for this exceptional information!
Always good information
What a great recap, definitely helping me plan out trips for next season!
Loved this helpful, informative video. (Like ALL your videos are) I still can’t believe we were in Stanley, Idaho, soon after you were there. And, the same time in Glacier. So disappointed we didn’t run in to you in West Glacier or on one of our hikes! We also enjoyed the autumn colors in Belle Fourche , near Devils Tower. Thanks again for the great job you do week after week. Looking forward to your bike journey the next episodes!
So many times, looking for a love button, like is just not enough! Thanks for such beautiful videos.
Thank you- great content!
I grew up in Maine, and Acadia National Park! It was my stomping grounds. I hiked all the trails...and explored all the nooks and crannies as a teen. It's my home. ❤️ I miss it now that I'm an adult and live in Florida.
I loved this video. I found this to be very useful. Have a really good week, Trish, Mark, Caleb.
I loved the recap, I'm really sorry I missed the meet up in Tacoma, I live in Olympia and grew up in Tacoma, I've followed you all for a couple years now, I'm in the RV business and always running hard in the summer, Love You All, Take care Happy Holidays
Always awesome places and great people.
I agree on the taking of a screen shot of your reservations! We love our National Parks pass and when we get half off campsites.
News I love watching and getting info from so thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks for all the information💕
Love the playlist! Will definitely be adding to my my road-trip playlist. We will be heading to Badlands this coming summer and plan on visiting Mt Rushmore and Wind Cave as well.
Love the recap videos.
Great info all season-thanks 😊
Loved this video! Thanks y’all ❤
Thank you. This is an incredible video. So helpful!
I so enjoyed this great travelogue.
Your tips and advise are priceless.
We’ll be following in your footsteps soon.
Good Vibrations
We were at Big Bend NP and I was wearing a KYD cap. The hat led to a mini KYD meet-up as a result. So cool.
Thank you for sharing!
Wife & I love your videos and have been traveling much more now! You mentioned issues with having to leave Charlie when not full hook-ups. A savior for us has been a battery/electric Dewalt jobsite fan. Now our dog would stay in the truck all day if she could. Even when at campsite she prefers the back seat of truck. I think it’s her safe zone and she’s very quiet. We will open all windows about 2”, pop the sunroof up to vent. We put the jobsite fan in the back seat with her. Keeps the air moving and keeps her cool. Now 85 degrees in full sun is a no but it works well in camper or truck in many situations. Also works well for us when at a Harvest host warm night or even outside to stay cool or help blow bugs away from us. Battery lasts for hours & hours.
Nice recap!!
Trish you did a great job in this video. I find that organising a trip and making bookings a but daunting.
Mount Rushmore is our first stop when we go full time in May!! Love the tips!
Now THAT was one great video for sure!
This year we did many places, but we also got to Devils Tower and Mt. Rushmore. Both were awesome but we really loved Devils Tower. So worth the trip to make it there and definitely stay at Belle Fourche campground. So idyllic!
Loved this episode!
ANOTHER FANTASIC SHOW MORE KNOWLAGE THANKS!
Great video like always!
We are first year RV people. We are planning a 94 day trip out west and your adventures have provided insight to so many places and given us more places to add to our list. We will start our adventure in Colorado Springs, then, Ouray, Moab, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Rock Springs, Yellowstone, Tetons, Redfish Lake, Boondocking in Oregon, Olympic National, Coeur de Lane, Glacier National, Devils Tower, Custer Black Hills, Badlands, Medora, St Cloud, Napierville, Lapeer, Jackson Center, Cleveland Buffalo, Finger Lakes and return to Mass. Many of the stops were influenced by your videos. Thanks for the Graduate Course.
If you're in Colorado Springs, go a bit further and hit Sand Dunes NP. You're SO close...
Our favorite fry camping was in Goosenecks State Park. It was so quiet, the sunset was amazing, and the stars incredible!
And yeah, we got the pies when at Capitol Reef.
I'm not traveling at the moment but will be in the spring of next year, but I'm already chilling out to the Spotify playlist! Thanks for all the helpful info too, I'm saving this to my private playlist for easy recall.
You guys are SO funny!!! I love your sense of humor and positivity
Loved it! ✌
We are just back from Mammoth Cave. 42 days on the road (OH, PA, WV, KY, MI, IN, SC, TN, NC, VA well covered - we are based in Cincinnati,) since we renovated a 2015 Coachman as my Covid project. Need to get out west soon. KYD was essential to my learning process and we still enjoy it.
Great episode! We are planning on visiting Theodore Roosevelt NP next year, so thank you for the internet resources.
We visited that NP in 2020. Have fun ua-cam.com/video/vctDEE8UJJI/v-deo.html
Guys, what a great video !
Beautiful recap. Hubby and I are starting to plan to go west next year. We have the Sr pass for the national parks and hope to put it to great use.
Happy Thanksgiving, love yall 3000!
We absolutely loved our trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. By far the best videos on our channel.
love the tips. wish i could hike more but gives me incentive.
Awesome season! Jerry & Jennifer here in beautiful Peoria Arizona
Having lived all 65 of my years in the Seattle area, in the shadow of Mt Tahoma (Rainier) I love seeing it explored through others eyes.
AWESOME 👍❤️🤠
A minute in and I'm so excited for this episode!!!
Great video with good advice. We will hold onto it because we hope to get out West in 2023.
Great video, we. Started fulltime rving because of. You..
Great content again - can't wait until we hit the road in about 2 years :)
Just…thank you!!!
Bev and I fulltime in a Tiffin Allegro Bus in Caldwell Idaho.. We are really sorry we missed y’all coming through the Boise Area.. Hopefully we get to meet on the road someday !
For Bryce Canyon I highly recommend Kodachrome State park. A destination of its own.
