R u say i smrt? gud. - Great video though, you summed up everything fast and i didn't have to sit here for 45 minutes while they talk about junk ill never use :)
“It’s not rocket science” *is literally explaining rocket maneuvers* 😂 great vid tho in all seriousness. I think I finally get it, now I can get started on my station
Yea I don’t really watch vids like this because of stuff like that but I also like to figure stuff out on my own. The only things I watched a vid on was how to get to planets.
the guy does sometimes over explain it. I love Scott Manley like many of his adoring fans. but I agree he uses a complected language. sometimes a bare bones explanation is easiest
This video taught me so many good nuances, like the scroll wheel for fine adjustments, and using the thrust limiter for fine orbital maneuvers, I never even thought of that! Thanks for the help
Thank you so much for making this video. I've watched a lot of the "big" KSP youtubers videos on this topic and still didn't understand. Your video changed that. Jeb has been stuck in orbit for 3 years and I finally feel prepared to try to bring him home. Thanks to you!
Thank you, thank you very much. I hadn't been able to carry out a rescue mission for a whole week and all the videos on youtube made it look so easy; Today, after seeing your video I managed to do two of those in less than 2 hours. Thank you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH . RENDEZVOUS HAS BEEN MY HARDEST PART. JUST JOINED THE KSP FAM A MONTH AGO. SO GLAD I DID BEING STUCK AT HOME, ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU.. OFF TO THE STARS......
This is a very helpful video for beginners! However, i find it is always best to try it for yourself before following a video. Here's what i mean, first of all you should watch a few videos on people doing dockings and whatnot to pick up on what to expect. Second, do the tutorial mission called "Docking" and attempt it as many times as you need before you get it right, maybe do it twice to get the hang of it. Then, watch this video while doing it yourself for the first time! While trying it for the first time, i recommend: 1. Designing your craft to have excessive amounts of monopropellant and fuel. Always bring more than you need! This will make it easier to keep going if you make mistakes, which you will. 2. Do it in very high kerbin orbit or minmus orbit where you need less speed to orbit, it will make it easier. 3. Do it in sandbox, for obvious reasons. That's what i recommend doing for your first attempt at a rendezvous! It worked for me!
this is brilliant. you explained it in such a way it feels like im just moving a lever now. its so simple it blows my mind. i spent hours before then on my first try i did it flawlessly, thanks.
Ty man, this video has a nice and clear explanation of what and how to do to rendezvous. You are very far from the top views on this subject on youtube, and you are far from the top of the search feed, but what I can say, you did a great job, and a great video. GJ, TY.
Watched Scott Manley's tutorial and there were still a few things I was foggy on. You helped clear that up and taught me a few tricks. 1) Nobody ever explained what the +1 at the bottom of the Maneuver node marker was (The + 1 orbit marker) That's good to know. 2) setting a Maneuver node at the intercept to use as a timer. Great idea!
Thank you so so so much for this video! This has helped me out a ton! I was getting extremely demotivated trying to complete the rendezvous missions and this video got me excited to give it another go!
I feel like this video taught me the correct way to rendezvous. Every other video is a mash up of different lazy shortcuts. Hearing it explained this way and seeing it work this way made a lot of sense. I will be bookmarking this video incase I need to come back to it. Before watching this video I was considering adding a mod to my KSP to rendezvous for me, now I feel like it's very manageable. Thanks!
You made it real easy to understand for me thank you. I spent hours trying to get a good rendezvous but I kept ending up getting de-orbited by a lack of fuel.
i never imagined it'll be that easy. i've been always using mechjeb so noprob. but since i want to learn by myself it's kinda hard. thanks dude. you taught me well :)
This helped a ton. Thank you. Quick question, is it possible to do this without relying on the targeting system? I had been doing it that way, not realizing you could switch from orbit to target, and was only ever able to get within 2 km if my speed was over 50 m/s.
So- supposing I had a Kerbal whom is very dear to me on an extreme elliptical orbit [Ap: 2, 200,000m, Pe:126, 600m] in nothing but a mk3 command pod Should I make an attempt or take my losses This will be my second kerbal stranded (poor jeb took an EVA into the atmosphere)
I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to match that orbit. With elliptical orbits you have to put your maneuver nodes and burn on the AP and PE of the other ship though (once you have the inclination matched). So you should match the inclination, then burn to create a circular orbit at 126,600. That will get your orbit touching the PE of the other ship. Then put a maneuver node on the PE and adjust the AP to 2,200,000m.
The title is not meant as an insult to my viewers intelligence level, but rather is taken from the famous books:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_Dummies
... surprised you had to clarify that hahah. great video, thanks for the help.
thank you for this video❤️
NO I FEEL ATTACKED.

I love this guy. Learned something and got some great laughs off his amazing attitude
Yea I don’t really watch vids like this because of stuff like that but I also like to figure stuff out on my own. The only things I watched a vid on was how to get to planets.
dude this guy has literally got the best rendezvous tutorial of all time
I hope that's a joke
@@YakobtoshiNakamoto You are a joke.
dude! you taught me some shit! thank you!
i simply did not understand Scott Manley's teaching methods.
I love Scott Manley but the simplicity of your video made it very easy to follow thanks!
Zach Rulli couldn’t have said it better, this actually makes sense to me. Gonna put it to the test next time I’m on KSP
the guy does sometimes over explain it. I love Scott Manley like many of his adoring fans. but I agree he uses a complected language. sometimes a bare bones explanation is easiest
Scott's tutorial was about as worthless as kerbals tutorial.
Love Scott but on this topic I found his vids hard to follow, so thank you Graxster for this very easy to follow tutorial :)
This video taught me so many good nuances, like the scroll wheel for fine adjustments, and using the thrust limiter for fine orbital maneuvers, I never even thought of that! Thanks for the help
Amazing. I never couldve imagined that it would be an easy step-by-step process like that. Great explanation from you as well, thanks!
Such a simple but great video! Everyone else I watched made it complicated. Thankyou
A guide for dummies from a smart man thank you for this video
Thank you Mr. Plinkett, this was by far the clearest rendezvous tutorial I've seen.
Thank you so much for making this video. I've watched a lot of the "big" KSP youtubers videos on this topic and still didn't understand. Your video changed that. Jeb has been stuck in orbit for 3 years and I finally feel prepared to try to bring him home. Thanks to you!
Did Jeb make it back?
@@Captain_Yogurt lol, he did and there was a big parade in his honor when he got home!
Thank you, thank you very much.
I hadn't been able to carry out a rescue mission for a whole week and all the videos on youtube made it look so easy; Today, after seeing your video I managed to do two of those in less than 2 hours.
Thank you.
fuckin' phenomenal. After literal years you have saved me from my troubles, Peter Griffin
I finally understand what ascending nodes and descending nodes actually do. Thanks!
THANK YOU SO MUCH . RENDEZVOUS HAS BEEN MY HARDEST PART. JUST JOINED THE KSP FAM A MONTH AGO. SO GLAD I DID BEING STUCK AT HOME, ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU.. OFF TO THE STARS......
Per aspera ad astra, my friend!
This is ONLY tutorial that helped me to a basic rendezvous. Thanks!
Great video. Concise yet detailed enough to explain what's required to pull it off..bravo sir!
Finally I was able to dock after 1 yr. Coincidentally I bought this game last yr on this very same day.

this video saved my stranded Duna crew, thank you!
this was the best tutorial I found ever, and indeed for a dummy, I mastered docking, and rendezvousing. Thank you!
Thanks! I’ve got 2 Kerbals stuck in LEO this will help me rescue them!

WOW! Hats off, man. Interesting how much higher view count videos can't explain this anywhere close to so clearly and didactically. You rock!
in 7 years of using ksp and watching scott manly, i have never seen a greater illustration on how to do this! thanks man
Thank you, this explained it much better than the in-game tutorial, and was fun to watch too :)
MAY GOD BLESS YOUR KIND SOUL!
I spent 3 days trying to do this, your explanation is the best out there,THANK YOU SIR!
Great Tutorial...I finally recued my Kerbal from orbit around the moon!
This is an amazing explanation of everything related to what I was expecting to learn to dock my rocket to my station. Thanks a lot!

Dude thank you! Best tutorial for docking!
Looks like my mission to Duna is going to go fine now!
Great Job. Love the simple explanation. I like technical jargon but you have to be able to explain it to a lay person, you did that. Thanks.
I actually needed this video to understand the ingame training szenario. The video is very nicely done.
Thank you - I’ve been struggling with rendezvous.. I think when I try tomorrow I’ll get it :). Great job, will check out your other videos!
I finally docked thanks to you! It was so nerve-racking! Thanks man!
I learned so much from this Video. Thanks!
Seriously thank you! This made so much more sense than other tutorials I've seen!
wow you made that look so easy, you're really good at explaining things. Thank you! Gonna try it out now.
Thank you very much, im going to try building up my high orbit kerbin satellite now!
OH MY GOD THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! I understand how to do this now!
I have tried this so many times and this is the first time i get it. Thanks
Awesome video that made it really easy to understand! Thank you :)
You've explained that really well man great video thanks!
Thanks to this tutorial I finally managed my first docking maneuver :)
Not too bad, sir!! Thanks for the video. Big thumbs up.
Great step by step explanation, thanks a lot! You saved a newbie :-)
Brilliant video, thought I would never be able to do this! Thanks!
You did a great job explaining. Other vids are too quick to explain matching orbits and getting close enough.
Great video! Keep it simple stupid. Thanks a lot. Made a rendezvous easily on my first try!
Well explained and some other stuff i had no idea about. Awesome video.
My brain has expanded after watching this
You made it real easy to understand for me thank you. I spent hours trying to get a good rendezvous but I kept ending up getting de-orbited by a lack of fuel.
Bro I either Overshoot or Undershoot my target xD. Spent about 3 hours trying to rendezvous with my Mini Station lol
well at least we are realistic.
we are terrible
Thank you, this tutorial really helps!
Very explanatory! Thanks a lot.
Unironically, this is what I needed
best explanation ive found, awesome video
Very helpful, thanks!
Helped A LOT, thanks!
Holy crap. This tutorial looks convincing!
Thank you so much, this helped a lot!
Hey thanks man! You really helped me out!
very good tutorial explaines way better than the training thx
Great video!!!
Thanks! Nice and simple.
Great tutorial. Thank you very much!
This was great! Thanks!!
Thank you. Very clear and simple.
Now I have to try this since I used to rely on mcJeb auto pilot. I like building a space station for larger craft to visit other areas.
That really helped mate.
Thank you, that made a lot of sense..
Most excellent indeed!
nice tutorial, thank you
i never imagined it'll be that easy. i've been always using mechjeb so noprob. but since i want to learn by myself it's kinda hard. thanks dude. you taught me well :)
Thank you dude, finally dock!
Great explanation bro. 👍
You are amazing thank you
great explanation
You’re the fucking best dude!!! Such a good Tutorial!
you sound like mr.plinkett
LMAO
Holy shit i was just thinking that
This rendezvous is the most disappointing thing since my son
Who’s that?
Good advice.
Awesome!
Thanks mate!
For Dummies!?
Thats me!
Thanks, man!
I still cant do it, good vid though definitely has a better pace than all the other explanations
Great Vid! Thank you !!!
i love you so much thanks!
WOW thank you SO MUCH
Thank you Sir!
Thank you.
Thank you this helped alot
10:16 “ it’s not rocket science”....
It’s literally rocket science 😂
Excellent vid though...the only rendezvous vid that makes sense

I need to upgrade my tracking station for the maneuvers.. too hard without
thanks i liked the video
Tnx from switzerland.
Finally it makes sense ............been bashing my head on the door frame for months
