Usefull tip: if you are catching up with your target you need to burn around the prograde marker. Its the exact opposite of the retrograde one, instead of pushing it away you will pull it too you. Im saying this because I spent like 30 minutes reloading saves because I was burning around the retrograde marker and kept increasing my intercept.

I just did three separate rendezvous' today and I got all of my target approaches down to .2 km using the radial and normal nodes in addition to the prograde, retrograde, and time nodes. It really helps to fine tune the distance. After that, you can use monopropellant. I didn't even have to use any extra monopropellant tanks, just 3 or 4 of the 10 units that were in the capsule.

I have probably over a thousand hours in KSP (several hundred in the last month or two) and didn't know the maneuver graphic screen (10:13) could adjust the timing of the burn. Also, I knew I could roll the mouse wheel over the Pro/Retro/Normal/Radial icons or drag them but didn't know they could simply be clicked for precision adjustments. The only problem with such a great channel is deciding which video to watch next.

Didn't know about that fine tuning, much obliged for that!
I couldn't master your method after intersect though, way too much back and forth, so I asked a friend and he told me to just keep the stranded ship selected as target, bring up relative velocity just over the navball, and simply retro for vel = 0m/s at closest intersect.
That way you get the same velocity, PE, and AP, orbit, etc, immediate results.
No back and forth burning all over the place like you are doing here.
