Imagine the Tilers face when he gets the news about 3 showers need demo, re-waterproof & re-tile all under warranty!!!!
If they learn to do their job properly, they won't have to re-do it ever again.
Tiler declares bankrupt to avoid responsibility then spins up a new business under a new name.
Seeing who was on site…. Yeah no ones coming back
He'll just go cycle to a new company name.
more than half of them can't even speak English, let alone have any qualifications. And if you wanna cal me a racist, then butter me on both sides and call me one. We have enough scoundrels here already, so stop importing these F@#K-wits !
Apologies about the format of the video, it was meant for TikTok only but we decided to share it here 😊❤
I don't use tiktok, so it's great that you're posting it here as well.
I don’t use TikTok either, this was unbelieeeeeeeevable.
I think you need to change your face mosaic settings, doesn't cover much or properly))
What's TikTok
@@Chedvinggood, they deserve to be shamed for charging people a lifetime of money for 3rd world results.
thankfully we solved the housing supply crisis 30 years ago by removing all the red tape like mandatory building progress inspections by all those lazy good-for nothing council ( public servants) building inspectors and their finicky rules about not building houses that will fall down after the 36 Month warrantee. . Private builders with their private inspector mates do it so much better nowadays don't they ?
EDIT: Apparently , from the comments below, many people no longer understand sarcasm in their eagerness to just post up replies while UTI :)
unfortuneately a lot private builders are just as responsible. Whats really bad is this inspector isn't allowed to name and shame these kinds of companies workmanship in these videos for legal reasons.
Public servants are usually one step away from criminal neglect of duty, so... Yeah, good-for-nothings as well as imported labor that doesn't know a hammer from a pickaxe... Vote smarter and start learning how to do stuff yourself.
You are right. Regulatory functions can’t be carried out by the private sector. Having said that, I worked for the building regulator in Tassie, and they were just as deceptive, unethical and carried out illegal acts as a lot of the builders.
A project manager that doesn’t actually manage anything 😂
managers in a nutshell
project manager just gets the savings from the shorts cuts from the project
She didn't ask for your Aussie white cards
Women😂……. “Oh no!”
I'm just shocked seeing a PM actually on site. Shouldn't be in the office making PowerPoints or something?
I love that fidget spinner on the shower tap
I'd be certain that behind that fidget spinner is an unsealed hole letting water into the wall cavity.
“I’m the project manager.” Wow, where have you been since the the site was cut?
Wow a project manager and workers that can barely speak English why am I not surprised!!
The project manager should work in a fish n chip restaurant. She has no idea.
Mate.. you ain't the tik tok inspector..you are a forensic genius. LET'S KEEP GOING!!!!🤪🤪
Isn't the government promising another 1 million houses to be built asap. The tiktok inspector is going to have a lot of content soon.
take the money and run
The 1.2 million homes target doesn’t start until this July 2024. By the time the 1st house is completed, inspections will be illegal. 😂😂 It’ll be pink bats on steroids.
Gov is 12 months in on that , not one house built and $30m spent on consulting fees . Another gov scam .
The government should simply give the negative gearing benefit to home owners. This not only makes buying a home more affordable, but also limits the amount of price gouging and bubbles (from a single landlord defaulting on dozens of homes)
It will get way worse before it gets better
All workers on site are here on "student" visas no doubt and totally unskilled for the building trade.
110%
Sad time to be a skilled tradie getting undercut by these guys
I bet they are all citizens who went through apprenticeship. Too many dodgy tradies in Australia training more dodgy tradies.
@MartinMio seen the state of the trucking industry lately? It's 110% cultural.
You think locally born tradies are any better 😂
I bet it doesn't even get fixed properly.
We do all sorts of property maintenance and renos.
We seem to have a run on of bathrooms in the last 2'ish years.
The stuff you discover is amazing!!!
But!... The owners, a lot of the time, have unrealistic expectations and imagined outcomes as well.
Granted, though, you'd expect your shower base to keep it's water to itself. 🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣
Bro!!! This is a never ending story… and this video is so clear!!! You’re inspiring me to go and become an inspector for roofing and cladding!
Flippin heck!! And this is happening Australia wide, man that’s so f#*ked up!! So good 2 see u showin up the dodgy shonks
Notice how the workers and project manager can barely speak English, I say there's your problem!
"welcome to australia, slap it on and lets goo" 😂😂
when times are tight, going cheap is the most expensive mistake you can make
"Are you the builder? No Im the Project Manager" That girl didn't have a clue, was she even qualified?
She had a project to manage the cash on to her bank account
The only qualified people there are the inspectors.
She was already denying accountability before being told what was wrong 😂
Not even remotely qualified, straight off the boat.
Sims project management
Project manager and people that don't know how to actually build.
When he said silicon issue i could only imagine the look on your face mate 😂😂😂😂😂
💯😆
The poor quality of work observed during the site inspection suggests that it might have been done by an unsupervised apprentice, a migrant worker who overstated their expertise, or a substandard tradesperson who prioritizes quantity over quality or all of the above.
From my experience it was just another lazy Aussie tradie.
@@MartinMio and lazy building inspectors
@@GameFuMaster Im not from Australia so I dont know your laws - but arent inspectors liable if they dont check everything? Something like not checking a shower that ends up being signed as "In good shape and complient" and its just basically shite - that will backfire on inspectors where Im from.
@@innominatum9906 depends on if the local building authority decides to act on it.
But from my research, there have been some building inspectors who have been fined, then banned (for a duration), before coming back.
So the problem never really goes away
This video was so satisfying and only way they going to learn how to do their job
"sillicone issue" killed me
do your best, and silicone the rest
I am simply flabbergasted
Typical Lebo response. Just add more silicone bruh.
This is our skilled immigrants coming into australia
Give them a few more years and their work will be as shit as the homegrown tradies
It absolutely ENRAGES me that a house is the biggest purchase most people will make in their life, but shoddy workmanship like this is so common. That there isn't a huge crackdown with massive penalties just goes to show how deeply in the pockets of developers our politicians are. Only the biggest and most obvious effups get prosecuted, or those by "developers" who aren't "connected".
Plus a lot of these new houses are ugly af.
It has to be a demoralization tactic. There's no other reason for it.
@@griffin1366 No, just laziness and self interest.
Exactly. Governments just want the housing market to keep booming so they can keep collecting the stamp duty. Zero accountability and zero care as long as they get their money. Scumbags the lot of them.
It just comes down to price. If they pay for an engineer to be on site all the time during the build then it will jack up the cost of each build by $50k. However, it will guarantee that each build will comply with the Australian standards and result in a solid build. At the moment it only happens on critical infrastructure like the construction of railways/bridges.
@@elitechampion You shouldn’t need to pay for an engineer to ensure legal standards are met. Imagine if everyone thought like that. It’s like saying if you fly a cheaper airline the pilots don’t fly by the standards - but if you want them to do that you should have paid for an additional pilot to make sure they don’t cut corners.
The building problems are caused by governments. Heavy penalties should apply- but no they are desperate for housing (another problem created by them) they turn a blind eye to this joke of an industry. No wonder they can’t get tradesmen- would you want to work in that sht show?
Imagine doing that tile work and thinking that you're not going to get a call back.
Imagine buying a new car and needing a pre-inspection to check if it leaks fuel .... fark me
Except the car cost 500k-1mill
The woman Project Manager seems to not have done any inspections during construction but even if she did, would she know what the building regulations are?
Very convenient. Just have a shower and your floors get washed, your walls get cleaned, your garage gets hosed down!
Yooo bonus!! Cleaners hate this one trick.
Not only that! But as someone else mentioned - you can stand and use the shower tap as a fidget spinner while both you AND the house gets clean! Are you worried that stuff wont fit inside the cabinets? Dont worry - we included an adjustable support that bends depending on the weight of your items 😍
Thank you great videos.
The Chinese call this Tofu Dreg Construction. As a Project Manager the Chinese woman will understand that.
tofu dreg, coming to a developed country near you
Looks like we might have to go to old ways of building houses (BRICKS HOUSES).
I want to get back into inspections. Loved it
Quick albo we need more migrant trades! Don't worry about licensing work under 5k Don't need one and then you can just walk away and its the owners problem! Just wait till they make it 10k or 20k...it was $990.
You do know who killed of trade skills and training in this country, don't you ? PS, it's the same clowns that set up the economy based on immigration....!!!
Two weeks a go in one of the new buildings in cbd of Melbourne they had to pull 45 apartments apart becaus of black mold and waterproofer was in to blame
The black mould formed part of his waterproofing membrane.
@@mrwolf750 Insane in the membrane
It's 2024, surely there's a better system than a 2mm paper/plastic painted on water barrier ..
16:9 format, in 9:16 frame, on 16:9 screen
This man is single handedly changing the building industry for the better. Lets hope money and corruption doesnt change him as well.
And this is why I got shower trays installed in my 2 bathrooms. I don't trust joints between tiles.
You shouldn’t :) The waterproof membrane under the tiles is meant to keep the water inside the shower.
Where we come from you only shower for 10 seconds then no leak!
but thats what the drainage is for so the shower don't leak
That is really fricken bad! Poor owners man 🤦🏻♂️
Great video 🤙🍻
What’s the bet all those shower screens are screwed through the tile and pierce the membrane if the membrane is even there?
It looks like the folks working here also did my place, although I'm located literally on the other side of the Earth. Could you please link your thermal camera?
It's a FLIR camera. He's got a "professional" handheld one, but FLIR sell dongles that attatch to a smartphone that do pretty much the same thing. (I have an Android one that I've been using for leak detection and electrical troubleshooting in my house.)
Does the camera show cable locations in walls?
Mate, love the format. Im an older bloke and don't have the will to go to tiktok, keep sending them here and ill keep watching em :)
My 30 year old bathroom with no waterproofing is more watertight than these 😂
as a self employed qualified builder who "apparently" charges to much... i hope you're all enjoying the discounts 😆😆😆
All Raju's quitting truck business, now fully qualified builders.
Box gutter, internal gutter, tiled shower, no thanks
I love these videos but the comments are top notch…
Brother you are a living legend👍👍👍👍
Another video to make me not want to build a home but relocate one, regional victoria, and renovate it to the right standard. Or a simple 1 bedroom, live life as a minimalist.
Lol state govts offering 50k savings on stamp duty for new builds... still not tempted
Anyone recognising a pattern here with these people?
I can’t stand it when they play dumb like that.. it’s like when rhey crash into you and them they go it’s your fault for being stationary in a carpark bay..
Wow that is a problem
Hello WIZARD greetings from New Zealand
she has no business being a project manager
WE WANT MORE WE WANT MORE 👍🏼
Unbelievable.
3 month tourist visa paid 10 bucks an hour let's gooooooooo
What flir model is that??
Should do a post review after they fix it.
Wheres the merch? Crying out for a tshirt with a picture of a box gutter and non compliant on the back haha
This or the water stop diagram for door jambs
The choice of tiles should be noncompliant as well !! 😂
I went to have a look at a place for rent. And because I watch your videos I nit-pick the crap out of the place and got a few dollars off and $50 Bond... Cheers m8. Love you videos helped me out a Ton
OMG 😱😱😱 Claimed 'quality' 🤣🤣🤣
I don't envy your job sir, pointing out mistakes to incompetent people is like banging your head against a brick wall. And you'd better hope that wall is compliant. Doing God's work sir 💪
Skilled immigrants , yeh right
Jeeze. The local councils don't check shit anymore?
Oh my….what a joke,! But nowdays, its the same herre in Sweden. 😢
as someone studying construction management, this is appalling
To fix Properly will mean ripping out the walls of the shower and at least the bottom row of tiles in the rest of the room, as well as entire floor of the bathrooms. If they just rip out part of the room it will always leave a gap between the new and old waterproofing. Like life, water will always find a way.
Watching the response of the site supervisor and project manager I really wonder if they have the intellectual capacity to understand just how fundamental and serious these problems are.
They had ZERO clue and are now forcing our client to settle (/buy) on the property!
@@Siteinspections I've lived away from Australia for 25 years & have seen plenty of crap building work especially in the UK on the houses we have renovated. We are looking at coming back to Australia to retire but this is a real wake up call about builders (we still have a flat in Sydney). I'd never settle as they simply haven't performed the contract. Luckily I still have a fantastic corporate lawyer in Melbourne - he's am amazing at keeping things out of court (normally the best approach) but in this instance I'd let him off the leash (it's impressive and frightening to see).
@@Siteinspections Hopefully they knocked the cost of 3 new bathrooms off the final total.
Look at this guys.
Check this out.
Sounds like a horror movie.
Haha😂😂😂😂
Keep up the good stuff.
Cheers from South Africa.
Da skilled labour 👍
PLEASE MAKE A LIST OF BUILDERS THAT SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.. Love your work!
and the good ones
Is there a reason why the tilers don't cut the bottom of the timber arc and door jam so they can run the water stop straight cross the door way and slip the tiles under the arcs.
They either dont know / dont care, cant be arsed, most likely all 3 🤷
curiosity does any charges or action happens? or do they just do a bankrupt business and open another names and continue?
like my place i started renting 30yo brand new... Silicon fixes everthing.. even the shower, which leaked into the bedroom for years.. the toilet never half flushes, hotwater overflow leaked into the hallway. pile of plasta left on the sink, plasta all over the cupboards, glue everywhere on the skirting in the kitchen. slippery tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. hotplates that work maybe , just hit them and they start working. oven that cant keep temp correctly. lights that had 'live' in a tube that the lamp heated untill it shorted to GND, then BANG! Light fittings that just stunk. water leaks coming though the roof. unsufficent guttering .I called em to fix things so many times i gave up. we called it 'Faulty towers'. It got an Award. so from them on anything dodgy i just called it 'Award winning'.
These foreign imports don't give a crap.
Neither do the local slugs
Under normal use (not flooding), the water damage may not start to show for 5-10 years (unless its a really bad job). That's what its all about, making sure the build lasts a very long time, not just a few years.
Lucky we only buy houses to live in for 5 to 10 years 🙄
Can you explain how you do a flood test?
block the drain and turn on the water...
@@gribbler1695 yeah I got that much. I was more wondering what he used and how much water is necessary
He said about 30mm @@freestyla101
@@myspace2001 thanks. And a good way to block the drain?
Where are the hand rails?
this is sad
Why do tilers bother starting on a project if they can see the waterproofing hasn't been done? They're just shooting themselves in the foot. Such an expensive thing to rectify...
Tofu dreg constructions , proudly Australian made ….
Was the builder Hallmarc ?
These builders are scammers !
It's a woman. Of course it is.
The building industry here is officially beyond a joke.
The amount of work and cost involved in pulling stuff like that out and re-doing it... Just DO IT RIGHT the first time. ... Un...be...lievable.
This got me thinking about my place that I know that has issues… I’ve learnt so much in the last 5 years but everything is in the too hard basket. My first thought was I want one of these! Second thought I wonder if I could hire one for a day or two so I can understand more about my place and common property. I have a very curious ADHD brain and I learn by doing, even if it’s not the norm as most people would just hire someone which I would do if I needed to pursue a legal matter but for now I just want to learn and understand and that’s by doing. So I looked on Kennards hire and they had two moisture meters but it was more prong and poke to get a reading so I assume this is a different kind of meter, the words thermal imaging come to mind. Can someone please let me know the offical name of this kind of meter? (After all this I bet it’s in the description I haven’t read 😂)
It's a thermal camera - expensive equipment used by specialists, not really a consumer grade version out there.
@@myspace2001 if there were it would probably be very average. I wonder how much it would cost to hire one, I’d imagine the bond would be a fair bit.
'Project Manager' is clueless as fuck.
This gets me so f'n angry.
Criminals.
WTF WTF WTF WTF. I have no other words but to describe this. WTF.
I am wondering whether all of these surpose trades people were they kids straight out of school as first year apprentices and trainees on their very first job with absolutely no training at all.
It's not the builder's fault. If a prisoner escapes a prison, is that the inmate's fault or the prison that's meant to keep him in? 🤔
Wow what a shocking shamozzle after shamozzle 😮
Yep, lets keep importing these so called qualified tradesman. Well done labor and Libs.
Call Guido Hatzis to sort it out...
Finally, back to some normal builds
But they're only human, they can't get everything right 😂
