Really enjoyed watching this. I did this trek back in 2018 and for me the highlights of the whole trek were Chukung Ri and Kongma La. I haven't watched the next video yet but when I did it the next pass would have been very, very dangerous without microspikes. Thank god I did my research and thought to bring them. I was walking the same time of year about a week earlier.
Glad you liked it! Yes we didn't have spikes and you definitely have to be careful on the first part until it flattenes out. You will see in the next video 😀
Great video Chris, views look great from Kongma La. How long did it take from Chukkung to Lobuche over the Kongma La? First time I went to EBC I flew into Lukla and rushed to Namche so by the time I got to Dingboche I got headaches when I tried to go to Chukkung so I stayed 3 nights in Dingboche to acclimatise! Second time I went I trekked in from Jiri and so it was much easier trekking above Namche and I just had 2 nights in Namche and 2 in Dingboche to acclimatise.
I cant remember the exact hour/minutes but it was like half a day or so. And yes for sure if you rush in you will probably get headaches, glad you did it from Jiri the second time :)
Yep had the same shoes on the entire track. Replaced them sinmce then though since it was just a test and i prefer proper boots. I had a packing list on my website but sadly its down currently
