I was unable to attend this Montreal concert, but I was in the audience in Toronto the following night (04/27/69). Never having heard this wonderful live recording until now (February 2023), I am delighted to realize that the voice delivering the deadpan remarks at the very beginning is that of my old friend Terry B. Hadden.☺ [Terry's sardonic patter is very evocative of the tongue-in-cheek delivery of Canadian bluegrass legend Ronald D. Scott - - a nice nostalgic moment!]
I missed the Toronto show because I was Knee Deep in studies for my first year University exams. Should have gone to the show and seen a young Larry Sparks with Ralph. Saw them together at Mclure years later in 1992. Cheers from Hamilton
This means the world to a bluegrass music lover like myself. I first heard bluegrass music on the Grand Old Opry about 1944 - Bill Monroe and his Bluegrass Boys.
A Man from Montreal named Ron Petronko was a donator to the bluegrass hall of fame.he had countless pictures and archives of all the Bluegrass greats that came to Montreal

Can't be beaten
So nice to have access now to this live shows! Especially of the early days like this show!👍
Storming. Thanks for this.
I was unable to attend, due to the predicament of being a baby, but it sure is cool to know he played my old hometown!
This is fantastic. Thanks for putting it up.
