Damn Sammy Adkins…….what a voice.
I agree he is perfect Clinch Mountain ! I've really followed him. He chills me to the bone. Happy 4th!
This a Excellent source of the Nest Music that Mr Ralph Stanley and his famous Band made for all Americans to view and hear ! It's Wonderful, Thanks forever
Best Music Made in American ! The Great Master Of Bluegrass, Ralph Stanley Provided it's just Wonderful !
You can tell Sammy practiced 10 hrs. a day. He's spotless and clear on the lyrics. Him and Ralph harmonize the best I've ever heard with CMB 's!
Ralph no one is like you, you are one in a billion, love you brother, you may rest in peace, your music is for life ......
Ralph Stanley, there was never, or will ever be any comparison. A legend.
Toe tapping at its finest ! 🤠
Yes… my goodness the chorus on “You’re still to Blame”… wow. Would have loved if he had cut it with Roy Lee Centers.
I agree Roy was the closest to Carter that Ralph ever had.
Carter made Ralph not saying Ralph is no good or anything but you couldn’t get on the map without Carter soulful voice
What great bluegrass! Thanks!
My dad was younger here😂
Phenomenal recording. My dad and and I were at Frontier ranch one time. I can’t remember when? Was Awesome all the greats were there including Ralph Stanley. Thanks for preserving these treasured recordings.

Ralph Stanley is the king of bluegrass.👍
He is next to Jimmy Martin I will guess
Ralph Stanley The best ❤️. Thanks
Will You Miss Me is my favorite song on this video. It starts at 20:53
Bluegrass at it's best.
Thank you Dr. Ralph Stanley.
great,thank you.
Thank you sooooo much for this!!!!!
now thats bluegrass
Sammy Atkins did a good deed for the Stanley sound.
Sammy has a good voice.Ralph has had a lot of good singers in his band over the years. This is real country mt. music.
Kudos to the sound system and MAN.
Thank you. My dad, Jerry Williamson, provided the sound system for this show.
Ralph’s tenor around this time frame was just golden. That classic harmony on “You’re Still to Blame” with Adkins and Cooke gets me every time!
There will never be another singer like Ralph Stanley. Or for that matter, Jimmy Martin or George Jones.
I love it!!
I used to own this tape till I wore it out
Boy I tell ya, I had the privilege to play with Jr, B at a show a while back and boy his picking never gets old!!
Ralph had some good guitar picker thru the years. Shuffler set the mark for the Stanley sounds. Jr. Blankenship wad the only one that really had it. The roll needs an hesitation that the others smoothed over. Blankenship makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck
Sammy. Akins is a great Lead Singer Junior Blankenship is a Great #1 Guitar picker
Sammy was hard to beat...
S Mitchell I love this I grow up I mite be 10 but I this because Sammy is my... dad and I him
Yes. Only one that tops him was Roy Lee.
