    My daughter has coeliac disease She is allergic to wheat There are gluten free substitutes for most ingredients but not for dark soy sauce - If I add some sugar to light soy sauce would that be a good substitute or should I add other ingredients to make light soy sauce taste like dark soy sauce. I love your recipes. I lived in Hong Kong and your flavours are so good! A big Thank You for sharing your secrets Chef Fai !

    • @HAPPYWOK
      @HAPPYWOK  7 років тому +1

      yes, you can add dark brown sugar to light soy sauce, BTW dark soy sauce is only darker due to added caramel coloring and a little salty. You may try use light soy sauce, instead of the dark one. ( will still taste almost the same ) Wow, you live in H.K. ( I got lot of relatives who lives in mongkok, tsimshatoi and Sakiwan ) thanks for watching.
