I used labs with the QR Control app every day on TV productions I've shot on this year... total game changer for Naked GoPros and FPV... especially since they added the pseudo jam sync functionality. Got my GoPros within a second of all the slates on set, which got my shots into the timeline instead of the B-Roll bin.
How can I understand the Shutter lock vs shutter speed? I want to double the framerate value for shutter speed, but can't seem to figure out what the 90°/180°/360° is. Can u help?
@@vleeg9251 90°/180°/360° is a way to calculate your shutter speed BASED ON your framerate. 180° = x 2 ... at 24 or 25fps, your shutter at 180° would be 1/50th 90° = x 4 ... at 24 or 25fps, your shutter at 90° would be 1/100th 45° = x 8 ... at 24 or 25fps, your shutter at 45° would be 1/200th etc... 360° = x 1 ... 24 or 25fps, your shutter at 360° would be 1/25th So if you set it to shutter angle, the GoPro will calculate your shutter speed based on your framerate. 180° is the most cinematic look and is what you are usually going for. 90° or even 45° is more for action, as it gives you faster shutter. I really love the idea of using QR codes for underwater. But if I upgrade to the Labs Firmware, I can't also upgrade to 1.16. If I do the latter, I get the benefits of that upgrade but then have to do the 2 button approach to change between presets. Is this just a personal preference choice or with experience, has one worked better than the other? Also, is there a chance that the Labs will be upgraded to 1.16 so we can have our cake and eat it too? Thanks in advance.
How does the long time lapse works in terms of protune settings during the day? I know it's needed a different ISO at day than at night and so on but there's no way of changing it in the QR generator page. So is it automatically set during the day and night? Or does it work with your preset settings? Or is there any risk to get overexposed pics at day and/or under exposed at night?
That's the easy part. How do you reset the camera once you've scanned a code? Once I hit reset in the video settings then the presets I've saved while the QR codes are active, are all now set back to stock. Do you have to bring the codes with you every time you want to film and scan the code dependent on your scenario? Is there a way to save a preset that has certain QR codes scanned, and other presets with other QR codes scanned? Or do the scanned codes effect all video settings until you reset the firmware again?
Hopefully you already got an answer but in case you didn't - there's a checkbox on the GoPro Labs website that allows you to make the changes permanent for whatever QR code you created
How do we use the Unit Converter function of GoPro Labs?? I've looked everywhere and I can't find any examples of how to use it. For example, I want to use the overlay feature of Labs to put the GPS Speed overlay on live streams, which there is already an example for, but it will only show the speed as meters per second. I want to use the Unit Converter ability to convert that to MPH before it's displayed on the overlay, but there is no example of doing that or even using the Unit Converter at all.
How is it? It doesn't allow the user to set the protune settings and stuff so how were your pics during day and night? Any overexposed or under exposed photos? Because idk if it automatically sets the "best" protune settings or if it works with your pre established settings or what
@@carlosperezcambron8681 If you download the QR Control app to your phone you will see all the settings in it. Protune is one of the menu headings at the top of the app.

Bring back Protune in the App! It is not efficient to change settings via QR Code and have to swap apps, check the image and then come back to readjust settings and so on.
Really that you thing this is more simple than access directly to the camera, or GoPro app and change protune settings for my 5 session as it used to be??
I hate how you guys can't set audio levels right. Voice is low, music is high... Every time person is speaking you have to increse volume and when there is music - you have to decrese volume... Guys.... That is very low..
No one in Cinema, TV, commercial and corporate video production, or any of the FPV uses, wants QR Codes. We all require Live Viewing and Adjustment, as we had before GoPro lost in court to the Patent Troll that now own Contour. GoPro should be telling us how we get live viewing and adjustment, even if it's by USB, though it should be by WiFi, as the court case mentioned Bluetooth.
I downloaded labs last week for my hero 8 looking forward to using the extended features on my channel

Has the screen lag been fixed and the bugs?
does anyone know why shutter speed isn't an option in the qr control customizer? seems like a huge oversight for it to be missing?
shutter lock is used instead, which will calculate shutter speed based on frame rate
is there a way to get the gopro to not start recording everytime you scan?

i don't get why these features aren't implemented into the camera firmware, without the need for QR codes.

In this case, the correct setting is 180°.

You're absolutely right.
