Not been there since I was an early teenager. But we're taking my mother to the parkdean site there in October, really looking forward to seeing the place again 👍
Been going there since the early 70's and was lucky enough to see the last ship unloading wood in the harbour. The river is held back by sluice gates at the back of the harbour, on spring tides these are opened at low tide to scour the main channel. Harbour Lights, Broadchurch, and The Navy Lark movie were all filmed there, also a tyre advert was filmed on one of the harbour piers. Not forgetting that Reggie Perrin went into the sea there !
