We've just returned from Dorset and have just finished making our videos we loved this, isn't it a stunning county! We loved the dinosaur footprints too. Cheers 🍻
I live along the jurassic coast and in an area of outstanding natural beauty my cottage has no houses front or back just rolling hills and at the rear veiws over the sea. Feel so lucky.
My aunt lived in Charmouth for a while, and when we would visit the UK we would stay there for a few weeks at a time. It's one of my favorite places in the UK. I have fond memories as a child looking for fossils along the beach. It was so much fun. Thanks for this great video!
Not the Jurassic coast per day but I’ve done from Plymouth all the way to Weymouth hitting most of the small bays, just got Durdle door and Lulworth that I’d love to go to now
Very useful and nice presentation of the area. It would be also useful if you can share parking spots (free or paying for) - or map link in the description. Thank you for the video, very helpful
I 'discovered' Dorset about 15 years ago. I saw a photo of Durdle Door and wanted to see for myself. I have revisited every year since. The coast is magnificent, from Lyme Regis to Studland (though give Bournemouth and Poole a miss). Inland Dorset is lovely too. Swanage is my base of choice, these days. Nicely presented, Alex.
I imagine there are so many amazing places hidden in Dorset, we can't wait to head back to see some of the things we missed the first time. Thanks for the suggestions!
We were hiking trying to find something else and just so happened to stumble upon those along the way😂 ...and Dino footprints are a pretty crazy thing to randomly stumble across!
Hi! We are staying in weymouth for a night and we dont have a car. What hike would be best for us? Would love to see some pretty nature and some castle/ruins would be super cool.
Thanks for the insight, we are staying here next week. Great video from a fellow UA-camr. I know the effort it takes in doing these, so well done and keep up the good work
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed! And enjoy your trip! I'll need to head back to Dorset at some point soon to see everything I missed because there was so much to do there!
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Thankyou, you definitely should visit in the future! I'm hoping to go again very soon because there were so many places I didn't have time to see last time
Thanks for the video! Curious to know what month did you go? I see you wearing short sleeves and then I see a coat. Trying to figure out what to pack for my trip. Thanks!
We stayed there for a week, but everything in this video we did over 2 days! I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a rush to get all this done in 2 days though, it could easily fill 3 days.
They were a bit of a challenge to find, we used google maps, they are listed on there as National Trust - Spyway, you can park at a small free car park called Acton Lane Car Park and walk for around 15 minutes from there. You can't see them until you're right next to them as they're down in a ditch with very few signposts. Hope that helps!
Hi, Thanks for watching! I believe there are trains that can take you to the bigger towns in Dorset such as Weymouth and Bournemouth, and then buses/coaches to reach the smaller coastal beauty spots such as Lulworth Cove. I'm sure there are also organised tours that will likely head to many of the spots we visited in this video. Hope that helps!
I believe there are buses along all the main routes heading to all popular locations (90% of places in this video are accessable) the only things you may have trouble getting to by bus is Spyway Dino Prints and Old Harry Rocks. We were exploring by car. Hope that helps!
Except the tongue twister isn't about Mary Anning and she didn't sell sea shells. Mary Anning was an English fossil collector, dealer, and palaeontologist. But thank you for the reference because I went and looked her up and found out about this amazing woman!
You can Walk from Durlde Door to Lukworth Cove in around 1 and a half hours, so everything in between those 2 can see with no car. But the rest are further away, the Isle of Portland is probably the furthest away at around 40 minutes by car
I use a Canon m50 with a 15-45mm lens and for the gimbal a Zhiyun Weebil S, I like to keep it light so it fits nicely and easily in a backpack when I'm travelling around... when I'm climbing up mountains with them I'm always thankful I made that decision!
@@christinecrockford1654 originally a Weymouth boy, I now live in the Blackmore Vale. We are so lucky to live amongst all this beauty. Not a day goes by where I don’t give thanks for living in this gorgeous part of the world.

Sadly I ran out of time to visit Lyme Regis, ah well... I'll just have to go back!

Couple of years late to the party, but the Pirate was Harry Paye.
Cool video. Researching for a project I might be filming here so great content. You should make the panning moves slower, it would help your visuals.
I'm glad you enjoyed! And thanks for the advice! I'm always looking for ways to improve my cinematics
Super!
Wow!!!!!!

We went at the end of March, I would say it was quite warm but if you ask Eli she'd say it was cold😂 the joys of English weather!
Great video as always, you’ll be at 1000 subs in no time 👍
Thankyou! Slowly but surely!

Hi loved the video but I am unable to find the spyway dinosaur tracks. How can I get to them
They were a bit of a challenge to find, we used google maps, they are listed on there as National Trust - Spyway, you can park at a small free car park called Acton Lane Car Park and walk for around 15 minutes from there. How can we (can’t drive left side car from USA) reach there from London or Southampton?

Could you tell us how you traveled between the locations? Was there an easily available bus or did you need a car?

that arch is fantastic. did you see that Darwin’s Arch in the Galapagos (which looks similar) just collapsed? random news share. 😆
I just found out about this! Just shows how everything is constantly changing... maybe that'll be durdle door in a few thousand years!

Are people allowed to swim along the Jurassic Coast? I see kayakers...can one take a dip at these spots?
Yes u can swim anywhere
Are they all next each other, just walking distance? No car needed?
