Grand parents, grand parents, aunt/uncle and cousin all lived/live still in Bridport. Father was born there. Been there many, many times and west bay as well. Thanks for the memories.
Cracking video again Mr Logan, sorry it took so long for me to comment, I didn't see you hiding in all that sand. Nor did your mate Dave (and his ice-cream). The harbour/pier looks like a great place for a bit of ultralight lure fishing. I may be too rusty for a gallop on the beach but if get the chance, I'll race ya (no fences, I'm a wimp!) Thank you both.
My favourite part of the country, glorious area. Also worth noting is Leonard Rossiter stripped off on the beach when filming The Fall And Rise Of Reginald Perrin.
Great video Dave in one of my favourite coastal locations. We had some lovely holidays at the caravan park when the kids were young. In recent years we’ve holidayed further along the coast at Branscombe , which is now a favourite of ours.
Logan blends in nicely with the colour of those West Bay cliffs! Lovely walk, years since I was there but I enjoyed seeing the place again. Thanks, Dave and Logan, of course!
Many thanks Dave and Logan, love that area, memories of scout camps, hikes and staying the area with our caravan. Even day trips for picnics with friends. Take care.
Brought back a lot of nostalgia for my days walking SWCP. I stayed at a b&b in Burton Bradstock one year - I think it was nearby the church. Logan had a lovely day with his run on the beach and seaside fare! Beautiful weather too. Thanks for video.
Woke up far too early this morning but watching the gorgeous Dorset scenery has been a great way to ease into the day. Must get back to Dorset one day!
Crikey, that would have worn me out with the uphill walk on a day that certainly looked very hot! A fantastic walk Dave with beautiful views of the coast, especially from the top. Many thanks for all the history all around, very informative indeed. I loved the look on your face when Logan was merrily licking away at your ice cream, though I suspect it was meant for him. ; ) Very many thanks for a gorgeous walk, I thoroughly enjoyed myself! : )
Thanks Roger. Gopros do struggle a bit with low light .... they have such small image sensors & it seems to affect the image stabilization a bit. It is good to know that viewers can see everything though . It always helps if I can find the light switch (which can often be a challenge)! Cheers. Dave.
What a wonderful day for a walk - and Logan had such fun on the beach, plus his well deserved ice cream! That made me laugh! I think you may have almost got wet feet a couple of times, too! I enjoyed learning the history of the various buildings, and the scenery is very familiar as we often walk our spaniel around the fields at the Hive! Thoroughly enjoyed this one, thank you for sharing!
Dave this is as ever a great video. Love the views on the walk. I remember holidaying in Burton Bradstock as a child but have not visited since. A lovely village for sure. The ice cream was well deserved and Logan certainly enjoyed it. The beach at looked amazing. Not sure I would make the 46k. I think West bay may be a destination this summer. 🤷🏻♂️. Thanks for taking us in this beautiful walk Dave. 🙏🏻👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️. Best wishes. Watto & Kim.
It looks like Logan didn't mind the shingle beach under East Cliff, when we had a dog, Sandy, we were camping at Freshwater Bay and he did not like the beach one bit. We actually were at West Bay a few weeks ago as one of my uncles has moved there and we had a family get together. Five years previously, not long after he had moved, we did the cliff walk by the golf course
Yes, the beach is quite "shingly" there for sure. With the recent rock falls at East Cliff, the section of beach nearest to the piers is now probably the safest area to stick to.
I loved this walk, those sea views are just spectacular! The Dorset coast is a wonderful and often overlooked gem, as people are in too much of a rush to get to Devon and Cornwall. I think the TV series Broadchurch may also have been filmed in this area, in addition to the other films and programmes you mentioned. Thanks for another classic Dave.
Nostalgia for me
Thanks for watching Marcel.
one of my happy places hive beach 😊
It is a beautiful part of the Coast for sure.
Grand parents, grand parents, aunt/uncle and cousin all lived/live still in Bridport. Father was born there. Been there many, many times and west bay as well. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you. Yes, Logan certainly blends in well with the sand and indeed the cliffs!

Yes indeed. I decided not to do a "reconstruction" (at 24 mins 17 secs into the video) - the water wasn't quite warm enough!
Ah yes ,I dont know how or why I missed that bit. I suggested to my mate he should re enact that scene and was politely told where to go!@@DaveFord
Great video. We have stayed at Freshwater Park. Beautiful weather. Thank you.
Thanks Cathy. A great place for a holiday. Thank you for watching.
Well deserved cheeky cider and sausage and chips at the end of your trip. Beautiful scenery, great video Joe. Thanks for sharing.

Miles of smiles!😊
Thank you Susan. Yes, that Logan is a cheeky boy!

Thanks Andrew. Yes, Logan is a sort of "beach" colour!
Many thanks Dave and Logan, love that area, memories of scout camps, hikes and staying the area with our caravan. Even day trips for picnics with friends. Take care.
Thanks Christine. :)
Another great video Dave. At the moment I seem to be planning my trip to the UK around your walks and Will Lyons, the Times wine correspondent.
Thank you Michael.

Thanks Mark. The Jurassic Coast really is spectacular, particularly when the weather is good!

Thank you Sue. Fortunately Logan left some of the ice cream for me!
…and you ATE IT??!!!! : O
Another great video Dave. I always watch them with an OS map on a second screen. Also, we can always see clearly when you worry about low light.
Thanks Roger. Gopros do struggle a bit with low light .... they have such small image sensors & it seems to affect the image stabilization a bit. Thank you. I think that Logan will be expecting an ice cream on every walk now!
@@DaveFord Haha, he will!
Gosh Dave you must be super fit to walk those cliffs .I know how high they are as stayed in Bridport ext on many a holiday .👍
I am not sure which is more of a challenge .... going up or going down! Thanks for watching, Ian.

ANother great walk Dave - A lovely pair of villages. Must do this walk soon, before West Bay becomes the annual summer car park! :-)
Thanks Kev. Yes, timing is everything! :)
Dave, those cliffs at Burton Bradstock bear more than a passing resemblance to Petra or other ancient sites hewn out of the rock.
Yes, they do have that rose red / orange colour when the sun catches them for sure.

Thanks Ian. As you say, it is a wonderful area - even better on a sunny day and blue skies. Thanks for watching.
Beware of those cliffs at West Bay!!
Yes indeed - there was a big rockfall there this week I believe.
มาชมบรรยากาศการเดินท่องเที่ยวด้วยครับ
Thank you.
