What? It was always free.
Within 1 minute of talking I already understand why he had one of the most respectable careers in his industry.
Undertaker and Kane were the scariest characters but two of the nicest dudes you could meet
@@gregkicks5172Well said
Back in the late 90s early 2000s, I was 10, 11…this guy was my hero. What a presence he had, I loved his whole vibe. And he’s such a gent. Great man.
I was the same age rsnge in those times. Undertaker, Kane, Stone Cold, Triple H. When I got to see them live....wow. There was something soecial about these dudes. Taker is the true GOAT.
Shout out to Joe for doing his best to put the Dead Man over knowing he has his own podcast now. Six feet under
I think timeline speaking he doesn’t have a podcast channel here yet. This is a re-upload.
This was years ago
@@WarmachineSixtyNineyeah but him uploading it again now draws attention to it, some people might not even be aware of Marks podcast
@@ben6993 but he doesn't advertise the podcast on the details either.
Why not deadman talking 😭
For someone who never spoke in their career, Undertaker is really articulate.
never spoke? what are you talking about?
Undertaker (Mark Calaway) is my favorite wrestler. Ever. I like to hear him talk. He seems like he is a nice person.
Mine too, man much respect
... OK ... but #MickFoley is my favorite punching bag (and NYT Best Selling Author)
Wow, this interview was almost 4 years ago. This was the best interview you have ever done with a wrestler. The second was an episode of Kurt Angle, but what is amazing today is that Taker has a podcast.
My fav is with jake the snake Roberts.
My fav is with jake the snake Roberts.
He needs to start interviewing wrestlers without Tony Hinchcliffe though. He’s almost unbearable in these things
@@joshdelagarza231that tony guy is just a vibe ruiner
I love the Undertaker, but I think i like this Mark Calaway just as much.
Right, he talks about how he was thinking about riding the whole thing into the sunset. He considered keeping the mysterious, quiet, image of “The Undertaker” alive. I’m glad he chose to to show the world Mark Calaway.
Right 👍🏾
Mark calaway a legend
This is from 2021 but im not complaining 🐐
Ahh fuck I thought it was a new one 😂 I was so excited I didn’t even notice the episode number
He's trying to get that UA-cam money. Since it was actually probably a spotify, only one
@@Pittsburghbad good point, didn’t think about that
Thank you! I was wondering if this was new lol
Yeah this was exclusive to Spotify
Thank you for putting this Undertaker interview back on JRE from 2021.
The Undertaker is like a walking talking book of stories.
That would make him the Book of the Dead.
I was born on Taker’s debut at survivor series. He’s been my favorite for a reason I guess.

25:45 "His company, working out, and sh*ting on people are his passions."
This interview was about 4 years ago when Vince still owned WWE
Little did we know then the shitting on people was literally shitting on people
Honestly hilarious would expect nothing less from the lunatic
That last part of that line didn't age very well
@@bricewarner9096 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its crazy how the world turns, we would've never gotten to see the taker had it not been for von eriks kid passing 💔
What do you think the WWE would have done with giant Gonzalez if Undertaker was just never there
it's hard to say that would've happened or not
@@samuswilliams4576 A Mr. Perfect-Giant Gonzalez feud would have been good. Or Gonzalez vs. Backlund.
Taker was really green in the character still when he faced Gonzales. He obviously evolved but early Taker was not really a ring tactician. If anyone else had to be with Gonzales I would have wanted to see Bret or Perfect, Bam Bam or Owen. Bret could carry a bag of sandwiches to a five star classic and Perfect, Owen and Bam Bam were excellent tacticians that could have covered for Gonzales' shortcomings with their own skill and ring psychology.
Undertaker is actually so fucking funny I love all of his interviews.
The undertaker is such an embassador for the WWE
Surreal as hell, watching him since his first time on TV with WWE, i was prolly 10. Such an amazing talent, and even better of a high class wonderful human being!
What most of us aspire to be
I had fluid drained of my knees like that couple of syringes, it gives you so much relief instantly while they are doing it. You look forward to it.
Does it hurt to have it drained?
What a great man! So many of his old colleagues past on way to early and never got the chance to retire gracefully. I remember his great debut in WWF. I was 9 years old and had just gotten in to it. Watching all the shows on Eurosport. Fun times to be a kid.
Undertaker literally sacrifices life and limb for the WWE, good thing he gets his flowers.

Send some love to the UNDERRRTAKKKEERRR!!!!
At the 1:25 mark, Joe asks how long he's been doing this and if theres anyone else whos been doing it longer and Taker throws out names like Ric Flair and others, but Tony hit the nail on the head! Takers being humble because yes, guys are still wrestling 30 years later but NOBODY except a man like Taker headlines Wrestlemania at the end of a 30 year career...Taker is an absolute legend and he's probably the one guy on everyones Mt Rushmore of wrestling GOATS
"yeah I took your fuckin dogs!" Had me dying
Piss on you
Lmfao same 😅
One of my favorite characters in the WWF days! Such a cool dude and very humble! Much love Undertaker, god bless you!

Those pain pills don’t just relieve the pain some. They give you energy and confidence and put you in a good mood for most people. That’s the main addictive part of taking them other than getting sick when you try to stop. It’s terrible.
Amen...im in that whirl wind right now
Ur absolutely right, that's what happened to me. A knee injury turned into 100mg of methadone a day and being a 500lbs shut in, to getting clean just for me to get hooked on perks again... it makes me happy, and im not without them! I wish they would have never guvin them to me wit that fucking knee injury!
Undertaker is a unit

This is such a great interview. Mark is so entertaining. Jamie getting credit for googling shit 😅
lol, I will never understand why they are so amazed at someone doing a google search. Joe is always like what kind of sorcery is this!? 😆

Meeting and talking with Mark Callaway would be the highlight of my life too! Mark is the G.O.A.T.
To think, if David Von Eric hadnt passed away, we might never had experienced the Undertaker

Joe's old interrogation pod set
This set was such an eye sore lmao
Joe's buddy set this up to make the transition smoother until Joe's studio was finished. It's cool that it's like this so you can pinpoint the timeframe the episodes happened.
Joe knew I’d want to watch this one today 10 days ago. Thanks, Joe!
Good to see you brought this back, I’ve been wondering where it was
Love this interview, glad it's finally on UA-cam. I also really like that room they're doing it in. Wish Joe would go back and forth between this room and the one he normally does the podcast in.
Absolutely hated it. Miss the old studio and love the new one. Hated this one. Hahaha
This studio was ass. Such an uninviting look.
Absolutely yes im here for this 100% joe Rogan thank you so much man ❤
I been listening to Undertaker speak whenever he does something social and he played his role so well that you could never really see beneath the Undertaker and see the real Mark, Mark is one of the most nicest humans alive and is so genuine at heart, I hope I get to meet him during life.

You need to get Taker back on the podcast I still come back every now and then and listen to this episode years later.
Thinking Joe is slowly uploading the backlog of episodes from Spotify. A bunch of these episodes are popping up.
Takers arms are looking kind of jacked up a little bit. Imagine a good pump behind that. He was never alone for that has for damn sure. He was also never had normal arms either. I know how some people couldn’t take comments on UA-cam. His shit jacked though
Huh?
Schizo post
We need a Part 2 ASAP 🍻

California is fucking up Nevada big time too and I'm even seeing Cali plates in MN too during summer
My state is being invaded too, California plates everywhere and they drive like maniacs. They're ruining our state it drives me nuts. I've heard Montana and Wyoming are in the same boat, friend of mine from Wyoming said that some locals have been smashing windshields because it's gotten to be such a problem. They move into our areas and feel entitled, they want to be catered to by the locals and then they try to change our towns in our state into what destroyed their state.
Rogan can be so clueless sometimes...
"It's not the people, it's the government"
Sheesh, who does he think votes for the people in government that put those destructive policies in place!
Man I pray these people don't start invading Florida, too.
@Vitavitavolk exactly! And, as clueless Rogan's comment "it's not the people, it's the government" proved, they don't even realize their voting choices are what ruined the place they just fled. Smh
I lived with 2 herniated disks when I was 16-17 I had surgery at 17 years old when I woke up I felt so good I could barely walk before the surgery any nerve pain or chronic pain is so painful it beats you down

1:35:34 as someone who has had his demons from childhood and followed me into adulthood (too long a story to write in a comment but I’m sure some of you guys know what I’m talking about). And that guy’s right you can’t run from your demons as they’re always there and will kill you if you don’t face them and take them on face to face and destroy them, then you can finally go on with your life and feel better

All in all this is a great interview and I'm not going to lie it's one of the best that I've seen on UA-cam. And it's rare to see The Undertaker has Mark Calaway because he has always been so good at keeping kayfabe.

His first match was with Bruiser Brody, that's crazy! CRAZY!
0:59 the last thing Texas needed, California drivers.
Joe needs RVD on the show!
23:13 why didn’t he say this to The Rock when he was a guest on the show?
An enormous hobbit is crazy 😂😂😂
The part where they say Ricardo Arona was never the same after his fight with Rampage is wrong actually. He won his next 4 fights after Rampage 3 of those being Dean Lister, Kazushi Sakuraba, and Wanderlei Silva. Sure he lost his next 2 after that but it was to Shogun and then Wanderlei in the rematch. Dude was a great fighter and only lost to people that were known names in the ring his 3rd mma fight was against Fedor. Dude was already 13-0 at ADCC prior to MMA. They don't actually know anymore. They just remember the Rampage slam.
Takers retirement match the only mania ticket I ever secured and was ready to go. Life long taker fan thru all eras and Covid hit. Cancelled the tickets. So upset about that. But it is what it is.
