That Dark match with Stone Cold story is one of the *best* stories low-key. It just shows the passion for the business and creating a moment for the show to really be memorable.
Guys, this was such a great listen. Cannot wait for part two. For all his criticisms, CM Punk has still been one of the most essential guys in the wrestling business for the last twenty years. Even when he was gone, his presence was still there. So cool to see him back where he belongs and to see him happy and healthy.

Punk is very good at giving diplomatic answers. He knows where his heat is, he speaks his mind and puts his guys over. I honestly get how people could hate him but I feel like he’s a very real dude how knows how bug he is. Parasocial bs aside he is like what I wish having a big brother was like.
I was there in the United Center when CM Punk came out at AEW Rampage. It was the most insane thing I've ever laid witness to and been a part of. I could literally feel the building shake under my feet. It's so goddamn insane how AEW let the inmates run the asylum and run him out. That company will never recover from that no matter what TV deal they land.
I was there too. It was one of my favorite memories as a wrestling fan because I had zero idea he was gonna be there. My friend just randomly invited me to a wrestling show. I still have the ice cream wrapper

I can confirm that people chant his name everywhere. I was at a metal band's (Hatebreed) 30th anniversary tour last week. They had a video of a ton of musicians/fans wishing them congratulations. Punk was one of them, and a bunch of dudes started chanting his name.

Wrestling... meetings fans through it and exchanging stories and news.. ideals and hopes for individuals in the business being older nad having far more appreciation for what thier bodies go through nightly.. money is one thing but some of those injuries are for life.. permanently altered to feed us as fans... my respect will always be for wrestling no matter what its never left me...
