I thought it was a good addition aside from one issue in both being well integrated but also weirdly not at the same time in that not even the merchant acknowledges the Iron Rig exists and the major effects it has on the main map... I feel they could've given the Mayor, Lighthouse Keeper and Merchant one or two extra things to say about it and what happens. But that aside I can definitely see why they took the extra time and it was worth the wait.
These games that come out for less than msrp and nail their presentation and theme I am always down for DLC. Dredge is short, sure, but it was incredible and I want to reward a great product. I'd love DLC for games I got a disproportionate amount of value out of for relatively little $, like Dave the Diver, Valheim, the Subnauticas, Planet Crafter, etc. All of these games significantly cheaper than other products I got much less out of.
This DLC actually sounds quite cool. I wasn't too keen on Dredge DLC, because of how isolated from the main plot the later regions of the main game are. They feel more like an afterthought to me, especially with the shifting tone. So while I absolutely loved the Marrows and the two southern regions, the ancient fire area and the swamp did very little for me. This looks like a more worthwhile experience.
Definitely worth it since it is more than double the content of Pale Reach. I would have def paid $20 or so for it…great time 100% the DLC over the past two days
Spoiler warning!! The fish man scene was definitely my favorite part of the DLC. Wanting to keep some oil in the water just to marvel at the new enemies. Worth every penny.
I was almost disappointed the way that arc ended. I wanted to know more. He almost looks like a hairless, hornless version of the narwhal so I made that cannon in my own head despite the timeline being centuries off
Quick Travel Porthole at The Rig? I didn't get this 😢. Great DLC! Loved the story, the upgrades and fishing. The scientists ending was awesome! The ship performance upgrades are amazing...love how you can stack them. 10/10
@@banshreddedcheese yes, I have that porthole...I thought you had another right by your rig. Gonna watch your vid again. Thanks. ...totally forgot you can pick up the anchor and move your porthole! Awesome!
honestly i think the quest design is pretty disappointing, it took the fetch quests of the base game to a new level plus i think that either i misunderstood the story or it was just a massive letdown
To get the full experience I would recommend starting a new playthrough as the difficulty of the DLC does scale overtime so it would be best to be building your boat along side. Still a great DLC with a fully upgraded ship too
Pale Reach seemed alright for 6 bucks. But 12 bucks for the new DLC, I don't think so. It offers the same amount of time or just a little more than The Pale Reach. I've got many hours in DREDGE. It is by far one of my favourite games. Just by my own personal opinion, I think you should probably just wait for a sale or get it in a bundle if they have one yet.
Greedy company (or publisher?). When I think of how much content, biomes and characters games like Hollow Knight have given for free, it’s insane that they’re charging every single thing as if it’s a full game. They’ve made bank, they could do one for the fans. Greedy, greedy, greedy
Hollow knight has also made $170mil+ more than dredge 😐 I think $12 is fine for a 5 hour DLC. Not mention that they made a pack where you can get ALL of the DLCs for only 3 more dollars making it $15

This new DLC was insane! I was constantly on edge and struggled to stay out of trouble 😅
I only showed one clip of me looking behind my boat but it was honestly every 10-15 minutes😅
Don't you mean
On dredge

Just finished it in one session. I really enjoyed it
Yes it is, it's a solid 4+hours and I feel like it adds into the whole previous game
The Iron Rig brought the game to a whole new level
great video. absolutely loved the base game. When I have time will now pick this up. Thanks for timecoding the spoilers! sub'd
Wooooo! This is the DLC I’ve been waiting for!!
It may have taken some tiime to get but it was SOOO worth it!
The music used in this video fits how the DLC feels. I almost thought you were using the in game soundtrack
epidemic sounds comes in handy when putting these videos together😁

ide say its worth it just becuase of the hull upgrade
there's so much room for activities!
I like the look of my ship it's awesome
A really good DLC. But it had almost too big of an impact on the map. With it completely chaning the vibe of the map with the sludge everywhere.
For the achievements yes. And for the scrap net yes! To see Leviathan save our asses HELL YEAH!
Scrap net?
@@Chekmate-em3mc That net that fish up all kinds of scrap and materials.
2 major downsides for me were the size of the oil rig (typically they’re much bigger) and then the ending was very lackluster
It’s not an oil rig
I got the game with the new dlc since it was on sale, so it's been in tandem with the game which has been a delightful experience.
Definitely worth it since it is more than double the content of Pale Reach. I would have def paid $20 or so for it…great time 100% the DLC over the past two days
I still have to go back and catch a handful of the harder to find fish 😅
Spoiler warning!!

That quick travel portal is the main reward from the previous DLC the Pale Reach! It’s super useful in this DLC too

I dont watch streams but if you made a challenge run of "Iron Rig" before base game video on here I'd watch it for sure

Why the dlc for dredge are so negatively reviewed on steam?
Genuine question. Why do you keep the oil in your cargo? You can discard them right?
I was curious what would happen when your cargo fills with them. never know what secret achievements exist🤣
@banshreddedcheese ah right I think there is one for 5 I believe
Much better than pale reach. So far really enjoying it.
Loving the new ship upgrade
there's so much room for activities!
@@banshreddedcheese😂😂
Honestly it’s new gameplay with new fishing mechanics make it difficult for players with full gameplay.
Hey i want to avoid spoilers, but wish to know, should i start a new playthrough tk get the full experience?

I tried to found thefish n 230 but i can t found. Is a very special fish
This video doesn't really even answer the question in the title, it just presents minor spoilers and tips
Woah, what pricing is that? In europe it costs 6€ without discounts, and it's cheaper than pale reach.
$12 is what I paid on steam and what Black Salt Games advertised🤷🏻♂️
Where did you find it for 6€? On German steam it's over 11€.
Where tf do you live ?? It's 12€ here in France
yea, £12 in the uk, where are you?

Ending was so anti-climactic, lots of content though, hull upgrade is really nice too.
Both DLC's are expansions. Can't add new endings.

Goated dlc
Is there a dlc that gives us a better ending than the original 2 options? 🥲
I still would like to see an ending that involves the hooded figures and what they are waiting for
