I think it was a nice little addition for just a few bucks. I do with the 2 new fish rods we're less awkward to fit into by boat with my setup. It does feel like these DLC are intended to be done before you 100% the game as end game boats its a short easy DLC, but if you came here with just a Tier 2 boat and medium level gear would be a bit more interesting.
The Patagonian Toothfish was rebranded by the culinary industry to the Chilean Seabass because many people didn't want to eat one beforehand! As all other Gordon Ramsay fans would know it is now considered a delicacy fish.
Lore wise, I think that what the beastie in the ice is maybe Hastur if HP Lovecraft is to be based off of. Hastur in the Insmouth story promises great wealth and a longer life at the cost of people sacrificed to them and having the Deep Ones(fish people) basically replace the once living people by breeding with humans and slowly changing their kids into Deep Ones. Think that the ice was supposed to be the chrysalis state for lack of a better term and the Narwal was a young Deep One that was recently transformed. That’s why the horn glows and looks like the big boi… or at least that’s my theory
The price tag for this DLC is good too, really cheap because it only provides a few extra hours of content, it's how a DLC *should* be made and priced.
Absolute W human being and content creator ❤. I ve started Stray's achievements a while ago, and Im putting your videos on the second monitor while grinning that and other collectables in games🎉
Honestly, the Pale Reach is more for a new save then for a completed main save. Like a mid chapter type of DLC, to be played after Gale Cliffs and before Stellar Basin. Side note, don’t aberration bonuses stack from installing multiple aberration fishing gear? With the addition of the new net, you can now completely fill all fishing gear slots with aberration gear.
Jazzy really didn't waste time grinding the dlcs achievements. After only hours of it coming out Edit after watching: It's quite rare or very uncommon when there aren't cutscenes in trailers. Also I used to grow up on laurel and Hardy too haha. Still love to watch a chump at oxford haha!
This wasn't the dlc we were supposed to get, they delayed the rig dlc for next year so they kinda threw this together to give us something, and it's pretty good for what it's worth. Can't wait for the rig though
I absolutely adore Dredge and I was really hyped for this DLC.... buuuut it was so short. I thought we'd get to see the big creature break from the ice or something. Something big and scary. Ah well, maybe they will do another DLC.
I agree! That’s exactly what I thought. I feel it’s definitely more for those who just started playing. But for someone who’s 100% it already, it was a very little add on and didn’t add much. So let’s hope for some new content soon!
I accidentally saw on steam that I no longer have 40/40, I didn’t follow the updates before and didn’t even know that the DLC was out. A little short, finished in one go, but it's only five bucks, so we can't complain I believe. No doubts still 11/10 for me!
Seems the dlc is more like an expansion to the base game rather than necessarily a while new game. Worth playing the whole game again once they're all out
Honestly I love the Radiant Net, before it I was pretty hit or miss on trawl nets and only using them for very niche situations. After getting that though I had it on constantly and learned it's value really quickly.
For a first dlc (excluding Blackstone key) this wasn't bad and I really enjoyed it. The mystery is cool, it's a neat setting, fish designs were cool. Personally I want a dlc that breathes some life into the twisted strand. At least with the other base game locations there's interesting stuff to look at. The threats remain in their respective area. Meanwhile twisted strand once the mind suckers are dead, that's it. They are dead. Stellar basin creature remains, serpent in gale cliffs remains, blind mother and her kids remain in the devils spine. That have interesting sites to look at. Stellar basin abandoned resort and military Tower fort, gale cliffs destroyed town, devils spine ruins. But nothing in twisted strand. Only a makeshift camp with the airman. I like the airman but that's it. Bait is ok as an item otherwise not much to return to in the twisted strand. I think the inclusion of a voodoo or witch doctor character would fit perfectly with the area and would be cool. At high insanity in other regions, you get attacked by other fish, ghost phantom sharks, twisters. Twisted strand meanwhile we get attacked by vines even after the mind suckers are dead. So maybe trying to imply the twisted strand location is like a living being or something.
Seems like a nice little bit of DLC and the price of 6€ really isn't too much to as for I guess, but I feel like it could've stilll been a tad bit longer, like maybe a few more side quests or something?
For some odd reason i'm not able to unlock the achievement of "Polar Angler" and "Cold Corruptions" which are to catch all type of fish and aberrations of them in the DLC. I already did and I check the journal and see them all but yet the achievement is not unlocked, anyone has an idea why it could be? I remember catching the aberration of the exotic fish but accidentally closed the tab of it and didn't passed it to my inventory but again it appears in my journal with "1 catched" as so far with the count. Kinda annoying, any help is appreciated!
gotta be honest, expected a bit more content within the DLC, it did fit the game really good and the quality of the DLC was very good. I agree with you that Dredge is an amazing game, keep at makin vids, im sure u will reach 1 mil one day..
The red dwarf jokes always give me a chuckle But i never expected to see a Loral and Hardy joke on UA-cam All your missing is some Goons show or just spike Milligan in general Also i feel the dlc for this is one of those you should play it while playing the main game type of dlcs rather than standalone
A quick little video... yeah I have to admit if you do Neir Automata, iiittt's not going to be a quick one. Sure the 2nd playthough is mostly the same just from a different perspective learning some new lore, but 3rd time around things area really going off the rails.
Question Jazzy: you did the OG 100% on the original game prior to several updates. With several new abborations and crab pot abborations, have you "redone" your 100%
Loved the main game but this DLC was disappointing even for how cheap it is. I breezed through this and the achievements in less than 2 hours. This would have been a great addition as a side area during the main game but leaves a lot to be desired as post-game content. That 4% aberration bonus would have been great for the main game grind though haha.
@@thesonofjazzy_ I've finished it now and yes it's not a spoiler but you're clearly intentionally trying to make it seem like you can break the monster out of the ice which is just cheap and made me think you'd ruined the ending for me. So yeah we'll done the thumbnail is slightly less scummy than I thought it was
What did you think of The Pale Reach?
It’s pale and reach.
A little short
I think it was a nice little addition for just a few bucks. I do with the 2 new fish rods we're less awkward to fit into by boat with my setup.

a couple extra hours of Dredge for 5 bucks, aint much, but aint bad
Loved it until it ended. Too soon :(
The Patagonian Toothfish was rebranded by the culinary industry to the Chilean Seabass because many people didn't want to eat one beforehand! As all other Gordon Ramsay fans would know it is now considered a delicacy fish.
Correction: the rebrand came from a fish salesman rather than a chef LOL
Don't forget the chilean seabass was also mentioned in Jurassic Park.
Lore wise, I think that what the beastie in the ice is maybe Hastur if HP Lovecraft is to be based off of.

It's wild that you 100% the achievements, edited and uploaded this vid within 10 hours of the DLC launching. You're crazy dude, great vid as always!
Jazzy: And there is our next achievement, From The Black Depths.
Giant tentacle: Peek-a-Boo!
Your Dad getting involved with the jokes was honestly incredibly wholesome
Plus it helps long forgotten comedy stay alive!
The price tag for this DLC is good too, really cheap because it only provides a few extra hours of content, it's how a DLC *should* be made and priced.
6:00 the Kraken stopping in for a wave
I told my friend that ice fishing was so cool, and he replied, “Well, it’s more like frozen.”
One of the cool things about Dredge is all of the fish are real, except the aberrations of course

I had no idea there was DLC for Dredge being released. This looks like a nice little add on for the game and not one that overstays its welcome.
even better, this is the "hold over" dlc. they were going to release something different, delayed it, and dropped this a few weeks after the delay
thank you for the awesome video, your achievement grinds are awesome. keep up the great work man!
I’m a simple man, I see a sonofjazzy video, I stop what I’m doing and watch
was not expecting the laurel and hardy scene XD loved it
Yup...gonna watch towed in a hole right now, thanks son 🤪xx
Great video Jazzy!

I’m very excited for more of these dlc packs and what creative monsters they will come up with
We’re all thinking it so I’m just gonna say it.
Narwhals, narwhals, swimming in the ocean, causing a commotion, cuz they are so awesome!
i love to see more of this

What a pleasant suprise
This game really... dredges on. (I couldnt think of a good dredge joke... please be gentle)
That is a heckin speedrun my man
the grind is over, but there are aberrations of all the crabs now which was a fun inclusion :)

1:47 toothfish exist and they can grow to be absolute units

The new environment of the pale reach is amazing but I was left confused and wanting more since the DLC just ended anticlimactically, 5/10.
I'm surprised Ginge wasn't here the minute it was uploaded with another pun. Anyway, another great video as always ^^
She do be slacking.
Love the video!
Hell yeah new video on Thursday 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
6:02 now you die for touching by son
you're awesomee
I'm wondering what playing through the whole experience when all the DLC is, since this one basically just added the equivalent of a new biome.
The reason the dlc is so short is apparently it’s supposed to be a “sorry the original dlc is taking so long so have this in the mean time”
Pretty sure it was intended to be like an appetizer before the iron rig
According to me looking up for five minutes, the tooth fish is real along with many other fish here.
I literally picked up this game just last night at your recommendation. Only for the dlc to come out the next day! What is my luck?!
Ready to rock
Nice content keep it up
Seems like a nice little bit of DLC and the price of 6€ really isn't too much to as for I guess, but I feel like it could've stilll been a tad bit longer, like maybe a few more side quests or something?
Does anyone know where to find the two notes? I assume it’s lore, and I WANT it.

Darksiders is a good series to grind achievements for if you’re looking for suggestions

I love Jazzy’s content man. Could you look at Subnautica? I know most if not all achievements are story related but it’d still be nice to see.
Currently grinding it as we speak!
FreeeeeEEEEeeeeeessshhh fiiiiiiiIIIISSSShhhh 😂
What is it with ocean games and having mid, ice themed extras?

why does he not mention the giant tentacle at 6:03?
That happens all the time, it's a madness event
@@thesonofjazzy_ ohhhhhh
Tooth fish do exist
Guess we'll wait for what's the iron rog going to gove us
What is the music in the background?

Toothfish actually do exist
I was afraid of that...
The Narwhal is a non-issue to me and personally I think we're kind of cute I just want a pet the Narwhal
Abberation Sleeper Shark ???
I'm sorry my friend, Antarctic toothfish is very real.
Crab

Can you not put the fucking ending of the dlc in the thumbnail?
