My sister took her life last week. She was a free spirted girl that loved her family and friends. She lost her battle to addiction. I had not seen her in 10-12 years. We were very close up to about 35 years of age. We had an argument about accepting responsibility for our own actions. She wanted to blame others. She wasn’t entirely wrong and neither was I. That doesn’t matter now but it did then. We have had arguments before. I, at the time, would have never thought that would be the last time I would talk to her. I always wanted her to come back. I wanted to show where I have come so she would be proud of me, so I could see she did well with her life, help if she needed help, tell her my daughter and hers are best friends. She never came back whole. It took me 4 days after she left to realize she would never come back. I was able to start my processing. The night I started mourning I happen upon this song. I was listening to AWOL albums for a week and the next album was cover songs. Immediately I found my sister in this song. The style fits her perfectly, the music, the lyrics and a few days later I watched the video and it fits my sister so well. This song is my song about her, an anthem. Thank you for helping me mourn.
My beautiful sister was a loyal friend, loving family member, loving mother, always have your back type of girl. She was fun to be around, Skater Punk. I will miss her for all my earthly days.

I like the tempo change and how this cover changes the tone of the song. Although I still prefer the original, I've been yelling the song for so many years it's just what I'm used to. Overall, Nice work, I can appreciate what they've accomplished with the song visually and musically.

Your voice sounds really good, but I just prefer the original.
I feel like they needed to slow this one down by a bit and it would've been perfect.
While i appreciate your input and opinion, and slightly agree with your preference, i prefer this version a bit more, but maybe only because it's new to me. I think it would come down to my mood. Original version makes me want to dance differently than this version makes me want to dance. This version evokes a different emotion.
