That type of scraper is my favorite. I used one at a powwow in Georgia decades ago. The blade was made from a broken leaf spring from junk yard. You can't beat free for tool materials. Wado for another great video.

Shiyo MOA! Every hide is first salted to be preserved if one cannot work it right away or it is frozen. I hope this helps.
