I'm deeply sorry for your loss Mark, but it helps having lovely people in your life like this man. He sounds like such a gentle old soul, and I'm happy to see a friend of his happy with his newfound - albeit unintentional - fame here. He absolutely rightfully deserves it, and I could happily watch and listen to this man for hours. If I wasn't on the other side of the world I'd love to learn his art of calligraphy. Bless. 💙

The Welsh were the original people of Britain, back in the days of King Arthur and the kings before him. The Anglo-Saxon (and Jute) peoples conquered the Britons (as the Welsh were once called) and Britain became Angle-land. The Britons became dispersed in England, but Wales retained some of it’s individuality, and is still it’s own place.

When he was talking about teaching, and how he would do his best not to tell his students what to do, I was reminded of a great art teacher I had as a youth. I was one of the more advanced students in the class, and I thought I was done with the assignment, and didn't know what to do with the rest of class time. He silently led me around the classroom and pointed at other students' papers that had an element he could see was missing from my piece, and led me back to my chair to continue working. I loved that man; he was such a great teacher.

All my life I feared my mistakes to the point of paralyzing my progress in life because instead of allowing me the to make mistakes without judgement during my learning phase I was picked apart and made feel stupid and it really discouraged me and I had no trust in myself, and very dependent and ashamed. Thank you for sharing this video, really.

I just wanted to say that his views are beautiful. I studied art myself and we had painting courses where the paintings looked the same because our teacher pushed us in a certain direction. I like his approach which is so much better. My wood print teacher was like him. Everyone had their own style and it was a joy.

That makes me think. When you see/hear about all these horrible accidents and how they're being documented by some shocked passerby with their phones it makes me wonder... Why not go up to that person with their leg ripped off, fight through the horror of it and comfort them as they cling on to their last seconds of life? Hopefully none of us will ever know what it feels like to only see horrified grimaces and flashing cameras before they pass, but those who only see kind eyes... we can't picture how lucky they are.
