@@matthewflynnthegladiatorof6787 I agree, it's pretty weird. I think it has to do with the ultramarine influence from the Codex Astartes. I'll pin your comment because this information in this conversation wasn't in the video, thanks for asking!
There's a common misconception about Raven Guard (a meme, really) that all they do is sneaking in a ton of power armor. That's 50% of the job. Sabotage, assassination and misdirection are their primary methods of war, yes, but they use these tactics to throw enemy forces into confusion. Once the enemy is leaderless, weakened and cut away from reinforcements, they utilize rapid insertions with dreadnoughts, terminators, Aggressors and tanks to finish them off with a killing blow. Their 9th company also specializes in overwhelming firepower per Corax's teaching of "stealth is all right but once shit goes down, you need to shoot your way out of it" so it is perfectly fine to include heavy weaponry, dreadnoughts and intercessors into your RG force.
Plus Dreadnoughts aren't just machines of war. They're the ancient remnants of their chapters, some of which trace back to the time when they were legions. They're as much engines of destruction as they are repositories of knowledge, traditions and battle tactics. They are, for lack of a better word, the SOUL of a chapter in many ways. So even for chapters like Raven Guard and White Scars, who seem to not really favor dreadnought battle usage, the Dreadnoughts still serve a major purpose and are treated with just as much respect as any other chapter would.

I’m just getting to this video now, but there is A LOT of psychoanalytic symbolism about the effects of the father on his sons n the relationship between the Night Lord’s and Raven Guard Both legions had a similar function prior to their respective father’s arrival. Yet Corvus saw the RG for what they could be, and discarded those who represented the worst excesses of the legion, and challenged them to be better: A.K.A the loving and wise father Konrad Cruze hated The Night Lords and thus fed their bloodlust and enabled their sadism and cruelty. A.K.A the aloof and uncaring father

Thank you I really hope it gets more attention
Great job thank you
Np, For Istvaan!
Fun fact the tactics used by the Raven guard for stealth and infiltration are written into the codexes Astartes .
As they should be
"The insane manchild Lorgar" 😂
I speak only truths
I’m just getting to this video now, but there is A LOT of psychoanalytic symbolism about the effects of the father on his sons n the relationship between the Night Lord’s and Raven Guard
Both legions had a similar function prior to their respective father’s arrival. Yet Corvus saw the RG for what they could be, and discarded those who represented the worst excesses of the legion, and challenged them to be better: A.K.A the loving and wise father
Konrad Cruze hated The Night Lords and thus fed their bloodlust and enabled their sadism and cruelty. A.K.A the aloof and uncaring father
Good analysis! Happy to hear it!

As a Salamander player, all I can say is “I AM UPSET THAT YOU ARE SAD BRUDDA, PLEASE GIVE ME A HUG”
When people say stealthy spacemarines are nonsense because size.. I simply reply:" an F22 Raptor weighs over 10 tons and its a "Stealth" fighter..."
I'd say the wolf and the Raven definitely had to have some training together because great hunters the space Wolf equivalent of scouts are some seriously sneaky bastards.there not Raven guard sneaky but it close
Night lords,Raven guard, and alpha Legion speak to me more than other Legion and chapters
yeee!
Lol.
They have the talk:
Why-it-is-good-to-be-sneaky
Great video! Too many channels with warhammer lore just read the wiki. Like thanks bro, but theres lots of hearing impairment aids out there that dont advertise Raid, shadow legends! Gatcha game of the decade~
Love Corax. There is a good German folk bank that has his same name.
Yeah I think it’s a reference to the mythological crow father
Nykona Sharrowkyn > Kayvaan Shrike.
Drops a bullet in Fulgrims eye, faces down Alpharius, kills Lucius first person to do it, trained directly by Corax, and saves relic to make primaris. Beast
Agreed! Sharrowkyn is the Terry McGinnis of the Raven Bat Family
I've veen on the periphary for a while, but I ghink you just convimced me to get into 40k
glad to be of service!
good stuff do more
Hang on... Cloth and sand around joints? This sounds very odd and like it wouldn't do anything the way I can picture it. I know how a supportive brace can help weak backs where more muscles work together, but would it help stealthing to wrap cloth around, say, a knee?
Would love more 40k stuff from you...
Working on a Space Sharks video now
Fitting the church building traitor is terrified a crow’ll shit all over his work
I like bird
Which books does he interact with Guilliman and Russ? The world of 40K is huge and I think I'ma just research as much as I can about the Raven Guard and their successor chapters lol
Source list should be there
I like all the legions to some extent but the temperate and understated sons of midnight have never really appealed to me on a personal level so I'm hoping this might change my mind! (btw I consider myself a lorehead though my friends might replace head with master if you're at all interested in some free consulting I'd be more then happy to give it a shot if you want that level of accuracy for your style of content and plan on doing more 40K in the future)
what is the name of that game in beginning of the video the one with the red space marine?
Imagine a Raven Guard successor Chapter falling to Slaanesh
I'm quite torn between this chapter and Ultramarines, what's your thoughts on the Blue Boys?
Good lads! When it comes to the original legions I go: Raven Guard, Ultramarines and Space Wolves in that order of most favorite
My favorite primach
Because you have good taste
Sevetarion first captain of night lords have such ability than can speak to dead . Although no other night lords have such ability.
My favorite space marines chapter from warhammer 40K be the space shark the Carcharodons. 🦈🦈🦈🦈
They are a possible successor chapter
Konrad is the Joker/Carnage to Corax's Punisher/Batman
I find it will be really cool if they are worship the god emperor. Chapter who have a spiritual vision of emperor more understandable and human and also more reliable. Space sharks who parabley related to raven gurds are also see emperor ass a mythological figure known as void father.
Oh yeah Corvus Corax the John Cena of the 40k universe.
Till this day i lament the death of Sanguinius.
hmm would modern corax consider the Imperium to be the "oppressor"?
No, modern Corax is sworn to defeat all elements of chaos - The Grim Darkness of the 41st millennia continues
