My hair is tailbone length and velcro rollers are my saviour. For 15 years I've been able to maintain strength and promote length. For a more flowing style I only straighten the roots and voila. You did amazing! ❤
I just took mine out. One thing I wish I had known, the bigger the roller, the straighter the hair will be. I have to get smaller rollers, but my hair has lots of volume.
You are stunning! IDK why people feel the need to comment about how it breaks your hair. It doesnt break everyones hair! This lovely lady knows what shes doing :)
@@Moi_81not actually. People with thin hair might have breakage from overdoing velcro curlers (and thin hair does not equal unhealthy, bc it is just natural to many). If the hair breaks, it can be related to a bunch of reasons (not specifically just bc one’s hair is unhealthy).
I had Velcro rollers that I couldn't get outta my hair without extra people help and cutting them. I have long, natural hair

Mine looked great but those rollers tore my hair UP! Maybe it was because of the take down technique or products but I'll just do magnetic rollers next time.
Thank you! It was done on pre-straightened hair. First I used the rollers to stretch my hair then flat ironed it then used the rollers again for volume.
Old skoooool!!! Yes they will break your hair off ladies if not careful!😅 My great aunts used these small white sheets of paper when they set hair with these bad boys!🤣🤣
Hi! I actually did not use any special or extra products. I used the Pink Root Hair Products leave-in conditioner prior to straightening my hair and that was it. Foams are not for me lol always had bad experiences with them. But a good product to use prior to the roller set would be a serum of some kind to keep the shine on point.
I'm glad you love it. That end result didn't do it for me. It looked frizzy especially on the ends. This is perfect for that "just rolled out of bed" look
I recommend using the velcro rollers on dry hair only. Unless you have naturally straight hair, you should avoid rolling these on wet hair or it will snag and be a major issue (speaking from experience). Use regular plastic rollers on wet curly hair to straighten your curls out or get a blowout. The velcro rollers are really just to add volume and help with the blowout look.
Black Barbie this woman is that 90’s beautiful ❤
Thank you!

Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for this because I was.womderig how to do this
I love being a woman.
✅
A natural born one too ❤
❤
My grandmother SLEPT in those every single night, idk how she did it

Yes, this is such a good tip!
Correct larger rolkers produce body and bounce. Use smaller rollers for very tight curl.
The first roller showed me everything
That’s what we mean when we say 90s blowout look 💁🏾♀️
I did these back in 2011.and yes my hair did break. Loved them though
😂
I use the magnetic rollers on my natural hair. No breakage
Beautiful!!! ❤
Note to self: Girl. The hair don’t come with the rollers 😂😂
lol thank you!
😂
Omg your hair is STUNNING!😍😍
Thank you!
Look lovely. The one time I tried Velcro, things did not go well. lol
OMG - my mom used those hair nets over rollers in the 70’s. I haven’t seen one on years.
What lip combo are you wearing?? Gorgeous!
Your hair is so big and I love it!
Stunning! I love my rollers as well
Absolutely stunning!!! 💖💖💖
So pretty!!!
u look so good with a side part it suits so well!
Thank you!
Every time I remove them, my hair gets super frizzy. I don’t get rollers lol
Your hair is gorgeous!!! I tried those roller and thought I was going to lose all my hair. I have switched to the magnetic rollers now.
You are stunning! IDK why people feel the need to comment about how it breaks your hair. It doesnt break everyones hair! This lovely lady knows what shes doing :)
Thank you!
Right. It only breaks your hair if it is unhealthy and at that point anything will break it off.

Maybe they're trying to educate
@Moi_81 that's silly
If I had this length I’d be unstoppable
This affirms that I wasn't doing anything wrong and velcro rollers really do only curl the ends.
You could try smaller size rollers maybe?
that one part moving to the left side..i just really wanna move it to the right..ITS SO CUTE THO CONGRATS
😂😂😂
You are stunning. Hair came out great.
Omg she is so beautiful 😳♥️
thank you!
Depending on the strength of your hair too much of this type of roller will pull out your hair and may cause it to break
Thank you for that! I was wondering if it was a little too rough.
@@MarielAmada , try big magnetic rollers. Same impact, less breakage.
@@ClassyCourtesan thank you!
@@ClassyCourtesan yessss👏👏 this is what I do, it is so amazing and it comes with more, like a lot of clips and a comb!
@@MarielAmada plastic rollers will work
I love these ❤ you inspired me to do it properly, absolutely beautiful 🎉
Would you do a video of how you put them in pls? 🪷🪷🪷
Yes! I wish I could reply to comments here with a video like TikTok but I'll upload a tutorial soon! 💗

oh, I must be doing something wrong bcz I can't use these velcro. They pull my poor thin fine hair every time I remove them
My Grandma Had Those Back In The Day In New Orleans ,All The Women's Mostly Get Roller Set There ❤🎉
Very nice queen
I recently mastered the flat iron, but I can’t do rollers for SHIT! 😭
you’re giving me aaliyah vibes! sooo pretty 😍🥰
Thank you! I loved Aaliyah growing up 💗
Did you put anything in your hair before hand?
Got that Aaliyah look. Love it.
Beautiful!❤
How long do you leave them in for? 😊
I have the same hair grade and similar length thats the look I'm going for this fall.
That bang over the face.. OMG YU LOOKED Aliyah 😮😊
Oh wow thank you!
Did you blow dry your hair before putting the rollers on? And did you sit under heat after put the rollers set?
Beautiful Healthy and Full🎉🎉🎉🎉
That's beautiful where do get those rollers from.
Your hair is so pretty. Was this done on pre straightened hair?
Thank you! It was done on pre-straightened hair. First I used the rollers to stretch my hair then flat ironed it then used the rollers again for volume.
@@MarielAmada great tip!
Do the rollers straighten your hair like that or do you straighten before hand? Also you’re so beautiful and your hair is gorgeous!
What dryer are you using?
I tried those before and never again
I’m so in love with Velcro rollers
Did you first blow dry your natural hair before putting the rollers ?
Pretty however, the removal is scary. That hair snagging is no joke
💜💜💜💜💜
Yea this was not my experience lmao
We were using velco rollers ba k in the 1980's in cosmetology school!
beautiful! how long does this last outside though 😅
I HATED these rollers! Felt like it was ripping my hair out and it kind of undid the curl and made my hair look frizzy.
Yeah, there's definitely a learning curve with them!
The velcro doesnt snag your hair when taking them out?
Not really, I learned that you have to slowly unravel them and chase your hair with your finger as you unravel to avoid too much frizz.
Pretty ❤❤ wheres the net from?
Do you roll it dry?
Old skoooool!!! Yes they will break your hair off ladies if not careful!😅 My great aunts used these small white sheets of paper when they set hair with these bad boys!🤣🤣
This came out nice! I might have to try these rollers.
thank you!
😍
✨💞✨
Did you sit under the dryer or are these heatless results?
Heatless
Beautiful
❤❤
Your hair is incredible!!! Its so bouncy and looks so soft! Also this music is so cool! Do you know what song it is?
Thank you! And sorry, I don't know the song.
Prettyy
🥰🥰🥰
Did you have to straighten first ?
Ok but how did you give yourself the actual blowout?! 😩
for how may days this styl stay on hair dear? love the video ❤️
It lasted about 2 weeks with proper nightly maintenance.
@@MarielAmada thankyou so much
Hi Luv !! What product did you put on your hair after you straightened it right before you rolled it? Foam wrap? Oil?
Hi! I actually did not use any special or extra products. I used the Pink Root Hair Products leave-in conditioner prior to straightening my hair and that was it. Foams are not for me lol always had bad experiences with them. But a good product to use prior to the roller set would be a serum of some kind to keep the shine on point.

Love it.
Thank you!
You look like Aaliyah, and your hair is gorgeous
Thank you so much!
Rolled them in upside down and ended up with flat roots tho
Can we get a tutorial 🥰
Yes! I'm straightening my hair next week and uploading a tutorial.
Reminds me of Aaliyah
Thank you!
I hate those things. . I must've did them won't cause yours came out nice
Always hate using those
I'm glad you love it. That end result didn't do it for me. It looked frizzy especially on the ends. This is perfect for that "just rolled out of bed" look
my hair looks like that but it's only about 12" long
Great
Do you roll semi wet or wet or dry? My hair is naturally curly, spiral , I want to straighten it but have some curl. Please help 🙏 99
I recommend using the velcro rollers on dry hair only. Use regular plastic rollers on wet curly hair to straighten your curls out or get a blowout. The velcro rollers are really just to add volume and help with the blowout look.
Did you put them in when hair was wet?
I did and never will do that again lol regular rollers would have been better for wet hair
To all of the natural girlies like myself who have been going to Dominican shops forever yall already know lol.
I have never used rollers. Just curious to ask, whether velcro rollers make our hair straight and curls just in the end part of it?
Velcro rollers essentially make your hair voluminous but not completely curly like a curling iron would. It flattens the hair but gives it some life.
