Hello guys, so after a worst cars video, its was time to make best or fastest as the title said. Not to be confused with my top speed video, this is not about top speed, its about fastest cars (handling, speed around track, acceleration and etc..) You can have your list and you may disagree with me, but this list was made with the help of few people, forums and personal tests. Hope you like it. As always,

You forgot a big one:
Any opponent car when you're too far ahead of them.
Opponent's cars in NFS games are boosted so you cant ever drive too far from second place. Effect's strenght are different depending on the game. For example, you can see it in the last NFSU1 races, when 3rd and 4th places can be +10-15s behind you, but the second place will always catch up from any distance

I found out there's like 5 or 6 different versions of the most wanted M3 GTR and the most broken is the Canyon Gold you find in NFS Carbon's challenge races.

The jump in game quality between Hot Pursuit 2 and Underground was so massive you could almost feel it. Man I loved the era of Underground to Carbon. Those were truly the best days of my childhood :')

Hot Pursuit 2 is a quality game. Underground is just a different style. Hot Pursuit 2 gives better driving experience imo and the vehicles can also damage.

Blackbox didn't knew the full power of PS2 at first,also NFSU is a completely diferent style(no car damage,police,car customization for the first time ever,the abscence of super brands such as Lamborghini,porche,and Mercedes-benz)...
I should even say that Most Wanted is pratically a mix between HP 2 and NFSU...
For those wondering why the Corolla is in the video for Underground 2
The cornering ability of that car was so disgustingly good that on any course where you had to turn, it would smoke every single car in the game. The Corolla was able to take corners at much higher entry and exit speeds in a game where you had to brake to almost a dead stop on nearly every corner in an arcade racer.
While the 240SX and the RX-7 beats it in drag races, there is a reason why records and speedruns use the Corolla and why a starter vehicle was the best car for Circuit, Sprint, Street X, and URL.
Really leaning into that Fujiwara energy.

In both carbon and most wanted, even if the bmw gtr m3 wasn’t the fastest, I still always preferred it cause of its the design and the fact it still had the best handling, was super satisfying to do tight turns at crazy speeds

M3 has smoother handling I believe, I can drive it and crash fewer times than with Carrera gt
04:00 the massive upgrade in graphics for the NFS Underground era. Literally revolutionised car games. Could feel the impact those games (NFSU, NFSU2, NFSMW) had.
Could have really done without the fullscreen blur effect, though.
Revolutionised it, for the worse. The games prior to it had fantastic and diverse tracks set in vastly different locations and biomes. Then came underground and you drove around in a city where every track looked and felt the same. The open world aspect was cool at the time, but not anymore. Sadly, most games follwed this open world trend afterwards.

I had played Hot pursuit before underground, and owned the Porsche 2000 game myself as well as played countless other games post underground and owned Pro Street (which is quite different to underground) and none of the games are remotely comparable to Underground for me.
Just my personal opinion/preferance :)
And everyone I’ve talked to share somewhat the similar idea

@@ivordundic6095 I enjoyed undergound 1 and 2 back in the day, I remember being hooked and I knew alot of friends that played it too. I would never go back to it now though, while I have gone back and really enjoyed nfs Hot Pursuit 2 thanks to its awesome physics and great tracks. Im talking about the ps2 version though, not the pc version which is pretty bad.
But yea, I think im in the minority with this opinion, though if you know who Empty Box is (sim racing guy), he made a video about this topic and how undergound made every track feel very samey compared to the older games.

Pro Street and Porsche Unleashed were the only good sim-style Need For Speed games. The handling and physics models of Porsche Unleashed in particular were amazingly realistic and fun.

Me 6 years old in 2004 watching my uncle play Underground 2 for the first time. He says “now watch this” and builds up his Nos to the max and let’s it rip. Me watching the lighting effects and the light rays of the tail lights absolutely mind blown. I’ll never forget that day. My absolute favourite NFS ever.

@@daltonhoward1237 It's neither a mod nor a glitch, it's an AI driven vehicle, which means it can achieve 1000+ km/h/ mph if it needs to. Take extreme rubber banding for example. That's why we make fun of the Crown Victoria/Civic cruisers in NFS games for being the fastest car.

I remember testing my Corvette in Carbon on the longest straight line I can find in free roam, and with the help of NOS, it actually reached 400 km/h at one point to my surprise. That thing is a rocket.

Underground 2 was a bit weird when it came to what car was the fastest cause you had those gold bar tuning glitches to make your car have insane horsepower. I think the max I ever got to was 530ish BHP and 210 mph in a Lexus.

I found the 240sx was the fastest in drag racing. Set all the records with that car. I’d purposely not do suspension upgrades on it cause I liked pulling wheelies with a perfect start off the line.

For Underground 2 you can glitch into the airport (even on PS2) and test the top speed of every car when fully upgraded.
For Prostreet, most cars can hit the game's Cap of 251mph / 403kmh woth Stage 3 parts.
For Undercover, you can unlock the Battle Machine RX7 by completing the Challenge Series. This RX7 is maxed out and can hit the game's cap of 250mph.

@@chaddy0572 lol, actually, HS is one of my favorite NFS, and not so many people hate this game. And I really think it is stupid, if someone likes HP1 and also doesn’t like HS, because HS has almost everything that HP had, and also has more content (cars, tracks, etc), the only thing that sucks in HS in comparison to HP is music in races in my opinion. It is not bad, it is ok, but HP music was just brilliant. Ah, yes, I’m talking about PC version.
In NFS Most Wanted, the higher speed i've Got was about 400-406 km/h with the Lamborghini Murcielago. The same car, with their boost, is the fastest car in Hot Porsuit 2.

4:00 When i was a kid, i had a fully tuned S2K beating all the bosses after getting it. When it came across with Selena (350Z Grey) The final boss. I tried 6 times in a row but somehow i cant win against her. Shes stupid fast until i made my mind that i have to swap it with an RX7. It was on hard mode, i was fucking suprised that in the 3rd lap i managed to gap selena by 20 seconds whereas the s2k was 5 seconds. I was still afraid of her coming back behind me until half of final lap. Then i knew, i won! I cant believe myself that day

* in corolla's case installing all the parts is slower, you shouldn't install the differentials and the 6-speed gearbox

@@rayne1337 Acceleration numbers are irrelevant,at high revs a car with better weight-power ratio is faster,and accelerates faster if front is lowered and rear is put at max,the corolla has traits that enhance that,rear wheels are larger than front,it also has the lowest centre of gravity,and it has rear weight bias,which no other car has. Tips for all cars suspensions are to lower front and raise rear,lower front springs and shocks and raise back springs and shocks and stiffening front sway barsand softening rear sway bars,also nitrous in 5 seconds

Something that caught me off guard as a kid was when I managed to get a 67 GT500 up to 294 MPH on the "original" Xbox with NFS Carbon. Not sure if it worked on the 360 version as I never got that version of the game.

In Carbon, both Lamborginis, the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren and the Porsche Carrera had a top speed of 281 MPH (Not KMPH). The Covette has a top speed of 250, Darius's car 236 and the BMW M3 243.

In NFS III: Hot Pursuit, I thought the El Niño was the Fastest Car, but I really like the deacceleration SFX on the Mercedes CLK-GTR
El Nino was definitely the fastest car NFS3 HP, maybe it wasn't on the list because it is a secret unlock.
@@shottakidd2 Mercedes CLK-GTR was also needed to be unlocked, either by winning Expert Tournament or by using codes.
some nfs shift 2 sounds can be heard as asphalt 8 used sounds later when asphalt added them to certain cars.

Legendary cars here, especially the McLaren F1
In nfs carbon i had reached 499 km / h with the Mercedes SLR Mclaren, the highest speed i have ever reached in an nfs. Before the nfs were more beautiful the cars gave you something, they had a character and then the whole bodykits that you put in Carbon or in Most Wanted were simply SUBLIMI.
Speed events in Pro Street never going to be forgotten and always going to be missed.
Yeah, that one desert track that is literally unbeatable if you don't brake before the hill. I uninstalled the game before I figured out that if I slowed downi wouldn't fly across the track and wreck my Lambo, lol.

The sound of that Hennessey Venom GT is amazing. At least from my point of view. And here I thought a viper sounded good until now. That engine sound is awesome. Not sure what any of y'all think, but it's just my opinion.

I just gotta add, the Ford GT has the highest possible top speed in NFS Carbon's vanilla car list. With its engine tuned horsepower, transmission tuned top speed, and supercharger tuned high rpm, you can get to 336mph (540kmph) in a manual transmission and with a drafter. This can done in the Dover Street circuit race in Kempton (south side of the map) in the long straight.
I haven't done the testing but I'm pretty sure the Viper has higher acceleration than the Corvette Z06, but who knows what it is versus Cross's Corvette.
Yes, viper has higher acceleration but it is hard af to control that car. Thats why corvette is the best car in carbon

Nah, the Beetle is better there SOZ. It has more powerfull NOS. The handling is weird it feels first super heavy than super light. If you are hardcore player Beetle is for you if you are not the RSR.
