Jewel's Mustang really shines in police pursuits methinks. I don't know if the weight of the cars really means anything in this game but it feels like I gain so much momentum with this car when I'm trying to ram into a police car, be it a Crown Vic or a Corvette.
Weight does matter. The Elise is one of the fastest overall vehicles in the game but is a complete liability in pursuits as it cannot just punch through roadblocks or handle being pushed around well like most vehicles can.
@@Joseph86__I got an unbelievable 40 minute pursuit with the Gallardo once… I only got caught because my Xbox lagged and I ran right into spike strips… my normal 5 heat pursuits usually don’t last more than a few minutes because my Carrera GT gets thrown around by heavy SUVs
Supra is a severly under-rated beast.. you can practically complete the entire series with that car. The only car I ever rated above it was Bull's Merc
I just did my 12th play-through with just the Supra ;D It is an absolute missile that defies physics in the handling department if you tune it right in the menu! I took Sonny's pinkslip + unique performance part, then basically just spent all my marker selections after beating each blacklist member on unique performance parts for the rest of the game (apart from Vic lol, I needed his Supra) so that I could have a full Junkman Supra by the time I beat Ronnie. Supra with full Junkman parts is stupidly fast, and handles like a dream while sounding amazing too. I even styled it as close as possible to Paul Walker's Supra from the OG Fast and the Furious. All it took in the performance tuning menu was +5 Steering, +2 Handling, +2 Brakes & +5 Aerodynamics to get it handling like the Gallardo.
For me JV's Viper, Ming's Gallardo, Baron's Porsche and Earl's Evo are my favourites in the blacklist due to how great they feel and I used these 4 in my recent play through beating Razor with Viper.
15. IS 300 - Heavy and doesnt have 6th Gear 14. Rx-8 - A rotary engine but slow and slippery 13. Supra - Fair power but weak in cornering 12. Eclipse - Slow acceleration and heavy to drive 11. Golf GTI - Quite fast and fair steering 10. Mustang GT - Fair power but heavy 9. CLK - 500 - Fast but heavy and slippery 8. Evo Viii - Fast but doesnt have 6th Gear 7. Cayman S - Fast, good cornering but slippery 6. DB9 - Fast but not on full power and heavy 5. Gallardo - Quick Acceleration but weak on cornering 4. C6 - Fast, good on cornering almost no issue 3. Viper SRT10 - Great power, light to drive but sometimes slippery 2. SLR McLaren - Fast but weak braking 1. M3 GTR - Power, Handling, Cornering Overall perfect
Supra corners and handles like an absolute CHAMP if you tune +5 Steering, +2 Handling, +2 Brakes and +5 Aerodynamics. This is my basic tune for all cars in the game for absolute greatness. I won't add the +2 Handling for any cars that don't want to oversteer/drift in corners by default. And for any cars (like the RX-7) with a REALLY tall 5th gear I will add +3 or +4 Turbo/Supercharger depending on feel to move boost up higher into the rev range - otherwise it's impossible to get out of 5th gear and reach top speed before running out of road.
Earl's evo viii is my favourite since the first time I played nfs mw, the evo is so reliable especially for the bounty, the handling is amazing not too slippery, even though there's some understeer & lack of top speed & the 6th gear felt so heavy, but for the overall for me the evo is the best
I remember turning off the autosave just to get Ronnie DB9 back then, yes it is a little heavy but when you upgrade it to full junkman and doing bit performance setting it feels like rocket + DB9 kinda underrated
Its handicapped early in the game due to the 5 speed, like the cobalt. But once you get the last transmission upgrade it transforms starter cars into missiles. 😂
Every time I played the game,, i beat the whole blacklist with, Cobalt SS ✔ Lexus IS 300 ✔ Lancer Evo ✔ CLK 500 ✔ And right now I'm trying to get to number one with a Supra. The handling of the CLK requires quite a bit of concentration and attention, but with the full tuning package and parts from Junkman, the top speed is so amazing that at 340 km/h, you'd still be revving up the revs, there just aren't any long stretches of road in the game that you can drive through unimpeded. The acceleration can also get brutal towards the end of the game. When I got my M3 back, I felt like I was driving a car with a very degraded performance :D What's kind of ridiculous is that no matter what race I was in, the most despicable NPC opponent cars were; Golf 5, Renault, Fiat..... these 3 completely average cars could always beat me. 😂
Once I was playing the game and racing the blacklist racers, I still remember I didn't had a very good luck so i wasn't able to get most of the rival's cars including the cayman and gallardo. I still purchased them manually with the money i saved by doing all the blacklist races because they were my favorites.
Bro I would just turn the power to my PS2 off at the wall and re-challenge the rival until I got their pink slip lmao. I was taking their car and there was no way they could avoid it. The game wouldn't autosave if you didn't progress past the marker selection screen. #abuse haha. The Cars I didn't use I sold.
The funny thing is that in real life, the 950hp blitz supra did a 07:49 min lap record on the nurburgring, which is the same time as the 300hp club sport golf gti
Thanks a lot bro I remember having this games disc back in the day when I was like 6 but never really downloading it I was playing other old need for speeds so I’m doing my first playthrough rn and I really needed this and I also really liked the way you explained the cars thanks dawg 🙏
Handling in general was more challenging on most wanted than any other NFS speed game I've played so I expected these comments on the handling but I agree with most of your comments and good video man.
Really? Most Wanted has absurd levels of traction. Have you played Carbon? Carbon is pretty hardcore for some car tiers and classes (exotics in the canyon, yikes).
@omegarodent765 Yeah I played Carbon after Most Wanted and for the most part they had the same feel. Coming from underground 1 and 2 the new feel wasn't welcomed especially when it came to the lacking of customization options.
It always pays to get Sonny's pink slip early in the game, just to have an advantage with the first few blacklist racers. as cars and parts tend to be very expensive, when you consider the income you get from races.
interesting video! I wouldve like it though if you did multiple runs for each car (in case you didnt) or explain your thought process for the challenge; like why you'd choose the track (maybe because its a mix between high speed low speed and medium speed for example) just to have a well rounded challenge, and multiple runs to get a consistent result
@@justanotherforsenboy1651 yeah I did multiple runs off camera and chose Ironwood Estates because imo it was the perfect balance between high speed and corners :)
I wonder if there's a way to handle these tests a little more scientifically, like running multiple laps and taking the best time from each batch (unless you did that off-camera and I wasn't paying attention. That's most likely the case). It's too bad there's no easy way to make your own tracks like Broughy did in GTA5 so he could properly run cars through their paces. But you did give insight into how each car feels, and removing variables in Most Wanted without basically crafting your own mods for the job is nigh impossible, so the methodology was never going to be perfect. And hey, you didn't just put them through a drag race and call it a day, so you definitely get points for that. You worked with what you had, and you did well. I always found it funny that blacklist racers with worse cars somehow ended up higher on the blacklist (but then again, the blacklist is about police notoriety as much as it's about racing, so that's always something to consider).
I liked the oid design where you can beat the game in any car. Gunning a lowly Fiat Punto to 225 MPH when fully upgraded was cool AF. This game is as close to perfection in terms of arcade racing as you can get. The only thing sorely missing from it is a damage model on cars. Cars are made of unobtanium and even ramming a hard object at 200 MPH doesn't even produce a single scratch.
Another interesting fact is that the Chevrolet Cobalt SS, next to the Mercedes SLR McLaren, has the best acceleration in the game after tuning to the maximum (ultimate parts).
@@adamkowalski5177 you honestly can’t go wrong with either. My favorite part was playing with friends but while everyone was using end game cars I was beating them with the Golf😂
Man, you don’t know what you’re missing with Manual Transmission on some of these cars! Not only do they go faster and have more MPH/KMH overall but they’re easier to control in turns and you get a feel for the best speeds to enter turns with in some of these cars. Especially #15’s Golf, which goes from ho-hum and reliable to a contender for the best car up until JV’s Viper (or Bull’s McLaren SLR) if you stay consistent with upgrades 👍🏽 It even makes cars that handle horribly a lot easier to manage once you get used to downshifting and upshifting rapidly in & out of turns. Ronnie’s Aston Martin DB9 become above average in Manual as well, which is crazy since it’s the least “cool” of the Supercars you can unlock due to how lame it looks and feels to handle in Automatic
@@steelwix well Rog did say that Sonny was pretty new to the Blacklist at the time of challenging him so maybe he didn’t have time to move up before the player beat him (that’s my headcanon anyway)
Huh why did i get this in my for you page? Its a pretty great video tho. A bit different then the rankings you see everywhere. And having a scientific ranking is awesome for a change
Ronnie's DB9 is underrated in terms of design because of it's "KISS ME IM IRISH." It looks so good. His car looks one of the best because his vinyl is unique. But the car's performance isn't good for its price. Baron's Cayman S is easily the best blacklist car for playthrough. It's also good all-around. Beating Earl for the first time is hard without having a good car like the Cayman S. It's good until you get Ming's Lambo. Ming's Lambo has full upgrades(even the ones that you'll unlock after beating Ronnie). Ming's Lambo is better than Baron's Cayman until Blacklist 3. For Blacklist 2, the Cayman is better. Or you can just get the fastest car, Carrera GT. Bull's SLR has good performance but I wish they kept his beta vinyl. For me, his car looks one of the worst because it's a lazy stock design. If they kept the beta vinyl, his car would look really good.
But when it comes to blacklist races, I felt beating Ronnie was harder than 2 and 1 when I was a kid playing the game in 2007 for the first time, Maybe it was ok purpose since his ai was too ap already
Bull's car is a fucking sleeper. If you look it on the outside you'll see the body kit is stock. No modifications. But if you look inside his SLR, it's fully upgraded. LMAO
I always started with a is300 or cobalt then got Taz car used it until baron then used the Porsche until Ming then his Lambo pretty much finished the game for me unless I wanted to switch it up with the corvette or viper. Also occasionally used the RX-8, Supra, Evo, and Mustang.
So on my first playthrough (I was 8 at the time) which I still remember even after almost 20 fcking years now... WOW... well, 18 to be exact but its been almost 20 yrs since this game... wow... Anyway, so I still remember how I moved forward with cars..... I failed to get the Golf which was a missed opportunity which I realized on my second playthrough, so my loyal SS managed to get me the Supra which I used till Baron. Unlocking the Cayman was a game changer, I easily managed until Ming with upgrading the Cayman and the only reason I switched to the Lambo was bcz I love the Gallardo which I used until I beat Bull.... For Razor I actually used the Murcielago... I was 8 at the time and born in the late 90s... I am sorry for liking my Lambos.... LOL... Also I did use other cars in between as well, the RX-8 for the handling in some drag races, the Evo 8 for some sprints and the SLR for some drag races as well... I did use a lot of different cars for the bounties though, even the horrendous Jewel's Mustang and Kaze's CLK which sucked even after the upgrades... It was an experience, I played MW exclusively for more than a year, using every car combo imaginable to beat the Blacklist... Those were the times...
A lot of the understeer issues isn’t weight, it’s the drive wheels. FWD and AWD will understeer. The Mercedes is very heavy, which makes it decelerate slower and leads to understeer.
This one with the iconic P60B40 motor is the exact car built by BMW to compete in the ALMS GT Series iirc, not DTM technically. Yes I wanna see the fully tuned version too :) Thanks OP. I wish the M3 GTR was tunable in game - at least from the pause menu so I can tweak handling and the NOS. Or that we can upgrade it at the shop but only have the option to and add a Supercharger:D
TBH I have played every edition of most wanted, on PC and PS2, Ming's Gallardo should be at number 2 because that thing made the game so easy once I got it, it felt like the difficulty level was changed or something.
the golf is the best car. fully upgraded it can do really good speeds, great handling and it is a heavier car that can crash the cops easy. its just a great jack of all trades car that you can play from the start to the final race
U should max out the performance parts with the junkman unique upgrade, and then test the lap time so that it really comes down to the individual car at the same performance level
Fully upgraded AND TUNED; driven by a skilled driver, its the Lotus Elise And the Porsche Carerra GT. No other car comes close to these two! My best time around the Hastings circuit (Longest circuit in the game.) 3:02.## Carrera GT. The lotus is less than a second slower.
I mean, not only is the the M3 the coolest car in the game, but it's just a straight up ALMS GT car with a license plate on it. 😅 Realistically, it would take ALOT to beat that with a street car. Just like the corvette C6.R that you can use in free races, they SHOULD be on a totally different level than everything else the game has to offer just on principle alone! 🤘
I used a gallardo to beat razor, its not ming's gallardo but the car that I PURCHASED in the car shop. It was that easy to beat razor but hard to get to the blacklist
I literally crushed everyone with the Punto. It's like having a toy car equipped with a plane engine because it's just so light I can drive around corners without the need to brake, just foot off the gas. It's amazing.
Am I the only one that prefers the Ford GT? I'd get that thing and roast the blacklist, including the BMW. Cops couldn't catch me, races were easy and it handled roadblocks with ease. I always wanted to try it at the end against Cross and the level 6 cops but always got stuck with the BMW because of the game.

I wanted to try in highway. So I tested the same in city perimeter circuit.

I always used Sonny's Golf GTI for pursuits and races, Vic's Supra for races, Baron's Cayman for races and Ming's Gallardo for races and pursuits 😊
This era of NFS will always be supreme in my heart ❤
Cool video! I appreciate Carbon music at the end!
Jewel's Mustang really shines in police pursuits methinks. I don't know if the weight of the cars really means anything in this game but it feels like I gain so much momentum with this car when I'm trying to ram into a police car, be it a Crown Vic or a Corvette.
This x1000. The Mustang and the Evo are probably my 2 favorite cars to use for pursuits with the Gallardo being an honorable mention :)
9:37 that was never razor's car that was MY car
Razor make some upgrades to the car didn't he? I don't remember...
The lexus doesnt get enough love, the engine noise and vinyls are awesome
Supra is a severly under-rated beast.. you can practically complete the entire series with that car. The only car I ever rated above it was Bull's Merc
I agree it’s pretty good, I used it to get all the way to Webster without upgrading it further
Gallardo is a must have car indeed because its an all arounder car.You can do whatever you want with this car be it sprint, circuit, speedtrap or drag.
i finished MW with the Cayman, u totally feel u for putting it on 7th place 🔥🔥
i think your life changes as you get gallarado, and the most difficult one to bear is earl
For me JV's Viper, Ming's Gallardo, Baron's Porsche and Earl's Evo are my favourites in the blacklist due to how great they feel and I used these 4 in my recent play through beating Razor with Viper.
Nice list, mine’s pretty much the same
15. IS 300 - Heavy and doesnt have 6th Gear
14. Rx-8 - A rotary engine but slow and slippery
13. Supra - Fair power but weak in cornering
12. Eclipse - Slow acceleration and heavy to drive
11. Golf GTI - Quite fast and fair steering
10. Mustang GT - Fair power but heavy
9. CLK - 500 - Fast but heavy and slippery
8. Evo Viii - Fast but doesnt have 6th Gear
7. Cayman S - Fast, good cornering but slippery
6. DB9 - Fast but not on full power and heavy
5. Gallardo - Quick Acceleration but weak on cornering
4. C6 - Fast, good on cornering almost no issue
3. Viper SRT10 - Great power, light to drive but sometimes slippery
2. SLR McLaren - Fast but weak braking
Taz's IS300 is my favorite car on the Blacklist, it's a shame it's the worst in the top :(
if only the handling was better 😭
Or a better transmission prior to the ultimate upgrade.
I can respect your opinion if you like Taz's car
Its handicapped early in the game due to the 5 speed, like the cobalt. But once you get the last transmission upgrade it transforms starter cars into missiles. 😂
Every time I played the game,, i beat the whole blacklist with,
Cobalt SS ✔
Lexus IS 300 ✔
Lancer Evo ✔
CLK 500 ✔
And right now I'm trying to get to number one with a Supra.
When I got my M3 back, I felt like I was driving a car with a very degraded performance :D
What's kind of ridiculous is that no matter what race I was in, the most despicable NPC opponent cars were; Golf 5, Renault, Fiat..... these 3 completely average cars could always beat me. 😂
Like one wise twitch streamer said.. "Golf is better"
the damn AI fiat was crazy man I stg 😂
Prostreet is super fun. It made me cry so hard.. finished the game 2 times and downloaded the soundtrack 👌
Never let this guy cook again
The reason Lou's Eclipse slightly understeers more than Izzy L's RX 8 is because its FWD
Thanks a lot bro I remember having this games disc back in the day when I was like 6 but never really downloading it I was playing other old need for speeds so I’m doing my first playthrough rn and I really needed this and I also really liked the way you explained the cars thanks dawg 🙏

Tbh,when l first got Ming’s Lamborghini, that’s when l was introduced to *speed*. Like actually, this car is crazy fast
My favourite Blacklist Cars (excluding the truly and purely Iconic BMW M3 GTR) are: Izzy's Mazda RX8 and Earl's Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 ☯️🤷🏻♂️✌️
stock/Sonny´s Golf gets me through to Baron, and his Cayman gets me all the way through to Bull´s McLaren or even Razor. almost every playthrough

I wish you could’ve talked about Razor’s Mustang he had before he stole the M3 from us. Aside from that, it’s still a great video!
@@hesnotquitedead I thought about it. But I don’t know the actual performance for Razor’s mustang so I didn’t include it

Honestly this is the only valid blacklist ranking in my opinion!
Dodge Viper SRT 10 was my favourite car in the game!! Used it to beat Razor! Craaaazy good handling and power! Overall the best 💯🔥
In my book, Baron's car full upgrape with special performance kit is the One ^^
Impressive!!! Can you do another video of the same track where all Cars have fully upgraded??!
Bro the BMW clip is so smooth🙂↕️
I beat most of blacklists using Sonny's car until I got Ming's Lambo. Little upgrade but it's like super car.

1:36 but this car is the best for Drifting even if you not mod the game
I don’t really drift in NFSMW but maybe I’ll have to try it some time
@@Joseph86__ doing it as a next challenge
I liked the oid design where you can beat the game in any car. Gunning a lowly Fiat Punto to 225 MPH when fully upgraded was cool AF.
This game is as close to perfection in terms of arcade racing as you can get. The only thing sorely missing from it is a damage model on cars. Cars are made of unobtanium and even ramming a hard object at 200 MPH doesn't even produce a single scratch.
The golf being 11th just proves Golf Supremacy in this game. It is quite literally the best car
@@danielmcintyre7405 the golf is better indeed
Another interesting fact is that the Chevrolet Cobalt SS, next to the Mercedes SLR McLaren, has the best acceleration in the game after tuning to the maximum (ultimate parts).
@@adamkowalski5177 you honestly can’t go wrong with either. My favorite part was playing with friends but while everyone was using end game cars I was beating them with the Golf😂
@@Joseph86__After tuning to the max, Fiat Punto is slightly better than Golf.
@@danielmcintyre7405 Punto after tuning to the max is slightly better than Golf.
Cayman for racing, evo for pursuits. Its all you Need 😊
Man, you don’t know what you’re missing with Manual Transmission on some of these cars!
Not only do they go faster and have more MPH/KMH overall but they’re easier to control in turns and you get a feel for the best speeds to enter turns with in some of these cars. Especially #15’s Golf, which goes from ho-hum and reliable to a contender for the best car up until JV’s Viper (or Bull’s McLaren SLR) if you stay consistent with upgrades 👍🏽
It even makes cars that handle horribly a lot easier to manage once you get used to downshifting and upshifting rapidly in & out of turns. Ronnie’s Aston Martin DB9 become above average in Manual as well, which is crazy since it’s the least “cool” of the Supercars you can unlock due to how lame it looks and feels to handle in Automatic
So Sonny is slow af with a fast car and Ronnie is top 3 with a boat on wheels.
We could see which driver is skilled and who is not with that board
Almost every playthrough I save each car and use them in order to move up the list
Love
soundtrack, NFS Porsche ftw
I used Izzy's RX8 and i think its not that bad, I defeated Razor with it with upgrades ofcourse
Earls evo was probably my favorite car in the entire game 😀
And excuse me but the DB9 was WAY worse than the porche and the evo but somehow it made higher on the list?
The M3 is race car after all. It's based on the DTM version.
Anyway, now do it all again with all of them fully tuned.
