Oh wow I want my galley to look that nice . Awning room mod … YES!! That’s what I need to do to close up the bottom . I’ve got the Ironman 6x8 awning room . Thank you Barb for sharing your trailer and awning room mod . Brian , I’ve got 12 nights in my Hiker trailer with an odyssey 100ah AGM TPPL battery . I have found that about 3-4 days is all the battery will handle without charging. I’m running an ICECO fridge , fan and lights . All I’m wanting is a suitcase style solar panel with charge controller. I tend to overthink things like this , please advise me on a good simple system. My camp habits are to not stay in one place very long ,2-3 days in one place . I was looking at the Renogy panel in the video . Thanks
I really like her set up as well, lots of things that can be done on a Hiker. As for solar, I'll link the kit she uses. It's very easy to set up and will probably be perfect for extending your trips. Shoot me a line if you need help setting it up, happy to help if I can ! amzn.to/465grjZ
Great job, Brian! You are right. Barb and Todd did a great job on this trailer. I’m most interested in the toolbox on the front. Looking forward to you giving more specifics about that. In a future video you said that you’ve done a similar thing yourself. Looking forward to hearing about that as well.
It's a pretty easy job, I think the most difficult part is making a video about it... lol Shoot me a line if you want me to talk to you through the project, it's a very nice improvement to have a tongue box.
After seeing hundreds of these campers, everyone has their own solution. I have doctored mine up a lot with proflex and got the water to run around the weatherstripping pretty well. For the most part, I don't open it when it's raining. Others have used tape, like gorilla tape. This allows them to overhang it a little bit like drip edge. This seems to work pretty well, but I wasn't a fan. Other folks, like my friend Sam, have replaced the entire hinge with a better design. Here's a video of Sam replacing the entire hurricane hinge and fixing the issue. ua-cam.com/video/xY3NETiDijI/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Looking froward to the review as I am in NY, (Beacon) in a DIY chevy passenger van extended length (not the ceiling). Purchased the Delta 2 Max and one extra battery on your recommendation with 600W tilting roof solar. Have also installed a Midia Cube 120V dehumidifier and have currently been using it more than the air-con for the extreme humidity last week in Cape Cod. Also have a Bluetti AC200 for other cabin appliances. Attempting to go all electric if possible with propane as backup. Robert
@@robert2768 we're neighbors! I think you're going to have some real success with that system, but it is an uphill battle. Like you, I've tried to go all renewable with heat before, it proves to be far more challenging. The Wave 2 is a huge step forward, very promising. If you have a good set up for evacuating, both pipes out the back, you should be able to warm your space out and get a great run time off the wave2. In fact, I bet you could run it each night and get enough solar charge to replace. I'm going to run some test numbers as the temperatures drop, I'll share results.
Regarding both pipes out the back. I installed 2 round BOAT hatches 5" & 6" in the rear door. Perfect stealth look and a short hose run length to the Wave 2. All this great equipment, just in time for my retirement. Look forward to your reviews

Any ideas on keeping kitchen from leaking?

Curious if you tested the EcoFlow wave 2 heat pump as a teardrop heating source now that you have two expansion batteries
Its starting to get cold, Ill be able to test soon.
