- Hey everybody, its day 5 in the 100mile wilderness ✨
More info!
If you want to connect Instagram is a great place! Find me @stella.hikes I try my best to respond to DMs :)
Leffes instagram is @c_mate (Cam Laird) ☺️
And if you want to support me on the AT and the creation of these videos you can
Venmo @Stella-Blashock
and I’ll send you a post card from the trail!
Massive thank you to those already supporting me on the AT regardless of how- financially, following along, sharing, and commenting! 💗
10% of YT earnings this year will go back to trail orgs like the ATC, PCTC, and the CDTC 🌲🏔️✨ Thank you for your support and encouragement! Let’s get outside and into the mountains together 💞
This one got me a little misty eyed! Congratulations to both of you. If Leffe was saying a prayer of gratitude at the end, that was beautiful.
Sweet emotions! So proud! Longest 100 miles the good, the bad and the buggy.
Stella and Leffe so grateful to have journeyed with you two through the 2023 AT thru hike the ending tale. Summiting Mt. katahdin. Bless!
🧘♀️👣🏕️🏔️
Hi Stella. I live near the AT in North Georgia. I’m a 50 year old mom of 4 grown boys. I watch you daily with the dream of someday doing this. Right now I run marathons but I’m ready to test my mental and physical endurance even more. Watching Leffe fall to his knees today made me almost tear up. I am so happy you two have had each other’s companionship and support these last several weeks. Everyone needs a cheerleader during endurance events and you two were the perfect helpmates for the other. You and all the other young (and old!) hikers I get the privilege of watching give me hope for humanity. I hope you have an awesome ascent on the K, and then some wonderful rest afterwards.
Out of all the thru hike videos I have watched this is the first one that shows how hard the 100 mile wilderness is. Much respect to both of you for pressing through. Congratulations to coyote 🌻👣👣
Keep in mind how hard it is varies with weather and season. It’s unusually wet and challenging this year with tougher stream crossings and more rain. And likely more mosquitos due to the rain. But yes, Stella is doing a good job documenting the details.
The 100 mile wilderness seemed like a Dark Night of the Soul type of journey for both of you. So glad you all made it. Leffe's taking a knee there at the end of the 100 miles was so moving.
Yes!
i take a knee each time i leave work. thank gawd my shift is over! lol
😐 I sincerely feel for you guys. I've done time in the mosquito penitentiary. Maine backcountry is horrid in bug season. Good job both of you!! Congrats Coyote!! 😊 Woo-hoo, and goodbye 100 mile wilderness. You 2 crushed it. 💪 Rest well and take care guys ✌️
Your soliloquy about the challenges on trail is also quite true for challenges in life too. Sometimes, we just have to endure.
I've always wanted to hike the AT in Maine. Not so much anymore. 😅
Congrats to you and Leffe on completing the 100 mile wilderness. It was touching to see Leffe fall to his knees. It was certainly an emotional moment . I’m happy for both of you
How exciting it must have been to come out of the 100 mile wilderness! I was excited for you guys!!
Your body and mind were definitely ready for this and I congratulate you! You are truly a trooper and earned this achievement.
I am sooo happy for you but sad for me… I will miss you every morning. Can’t wait till you summit. It will be so exciting
I was thinking the exact same thing!!!
You have passed your endurance test, with flying colors and oak leaf clusters. That view of Katahdin at 7:45 is priceless. Be well, stay safe for what remains.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS COYOTE 🎉🎉🎉
And for you both 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Hopefully a friendship of a lifetime ❤.
🎉 congraduation coyote!!!
Congrats to Coyote! To all present and future through hikers there are few things in life that can bring people to a state of blissfulness like finishing the AT after going through all the up and downs (no pun intended) that the wilderness throws at you. Enjoy it is much as possible, it is truly the achievement of a lifetime. 👏👏👏👏
Congratulations 🎉🎉 Almost there. Hang in there. ❤
Stella! I don't know you, but feel like I do. It has been a challenging journey, but you have persevered and gritted it out. I am so happy that Leffe came into your life. The perfect trail partner!
The trail provides.
I am borh looking firward to tomorrows video and dreading it at the same time. I will miss you. That sigh, that giggle, that grit...😢
See you on the summit! ❤
PS: I think you would be great at outdoor documentaries.
PS/PS: Congratulations to Coyote!
Do you know? Do you know? Did you ? know? How great you are doing? Ephiphany.....you could have quit when you had a moment of screaming 😱.....really, or when you saw the big crocs, 🐊, saw a choice, BUT YOU DID NOT QUIT.....you are amazingly strong. Now I understand why you mastered mathmatics 🖥. Keep going. Thanks for supporting Stella Hikes Leffe.
It's so nice popping out of the 100MW and have a store right there. I tented, right where that camper was. What a beautiful spot.
Thank you for sharing your hike 😇
You absolutely killed it by starting early in the year. You had clear sailing - no issues at the shelters. Very little heat. I guess the swollen rivers are the one drawback.
I’m so happy for you guys! This has been so fun to follow!❤
Congratulations on completing the 100MW! I hiked it Sept 2021 when it's dry and there were not many bugs. 😊
You have done it ! So proud of you two ! Loved Leffe going down on his knee! Can't wait to see you two finish! Will miss your daily videos!
Congratulations Coyote!!!
What a cluster of challenges this part of Maine has proven to be!! Rain, wet, rivers so full, mosquitoes..boggy trails...heat
So glad the black flies are not bad. Great job!! Congratulations to Coyote. Your time on the AT has been a blessing to us, your supporters. I have been praying for your safety and emotional well being. Tomorrow will be wonderful..get some Deet for real. What a glorious opportunity. ❤❤
I don’t think you guys realize how tough you really are!
Congratulations to you both. You guys have come a long ways and your doing it through the rain and mud and all the bugs, onward to Katahadin 🎉🎉🎉👍👍👍👍
Wow that's quite the challenge! 😮 Congratulations to you both for making it through the 100 mile wilderness. Hopefully the rest of your climb goes a little better for you. Also Congratulations to Coyote for reaching Mt Katahdin! I looked for you on Instagram and couldn't find you so i hope you'll join Stella & Leffe for a group picture 🖼 😅 Best wishes to you on whatever you choose to do in life! Have you all decided what you're going to do with the rest of your summer? ;)
Congratulations to you both for making it through the 100 miles wilderness!!!🥾🥾❤❤
I love your smiling faces at the end!!! Such an amazing and challenging journey. Thanks to Leffe's friend John for the trail magic. Fun to see you both enjoying an ice cream cone!
I could see how wet it was,and those mosquitos lay there eggs in those puddles, was bad.The end is finally in sight for you two!
Leffe’s final “BOOYah!!” In the video - felt it!
Stella I started watching you at day 67!I’m not into hiking or anything of that nature. I just randomly clicked on your video! You have a beautiful spirit so I just kept watching. So now I will go back and watch the beginning 😂
You may find it of interest to go back and watch Stella having a stray dog, which she named Tally, as her traveling companion.
@@MichaelPower212 I’ve just made it to that episode today! Watching it now ☺️
What a relief that must've been finishing that section, you guys are doing great👊 Glad to hear Coyote made it, hopefully you meet up again. A blister under the toenail!! 😬 ouchey, that must really hurt. Looking forward to part 2.....💙🇬🇧
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You made it through the crazy endurance test!!!! Your vlog is the very first AT u tube blog I have ever followed!! I am in AWE OF YOUR STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE!!! I don’t know if I could get through the water crossings! I would need a great hiking partner like Leffes to help push me. I would chicken out and quit😂😂😂 YOU GUYS ARE SO AWESOME 💕
Wow, after a long trek through the 100 mile wilderness, you made it OUT!!! So cool that Leffe's friend trailed magic you two with pizza. That had to taste good!!!!
Wow! That was really something. What a relief to see that road!! Congratulations…💥💥🎊🎉
Glad you finished. Let your body heal.
This is awesome! 🎉🎉🎉
Wow that 100 mile wilderness is intense! Luffe is such a good hiking partner.. well done guys!
Wow, this sure has been an adventure for you and everyone else out there on the AT this year. The Abol Bridge itself looks different from 29 years ago for me but the store still looks the same along with the power lines. I have switched to using the Sawyer Picaridin and it works well on the NC critters and does not do the damage to materials like the DEET products and the smell is very nice as well. I think the only anti mosquito weapon in Maine is a flame thrower but lugging a 20Lb propane take is out of the question 😀
i really cant believe theres only one video left! I cant say thank you enough for sharing your journey with us!! Honestly gonna sob watching tomorrows video i am not prepared
Congrats on completing the 100 mile wilderness! The mosquitoes were relentless, but you pressed thru! Katahdin in plain view! I cant even imagine what joy and accomplishment this must be for you after all these months! Take care.
❤🥾 hell yeah coyote!! You guys are almost there so happy for ya!! Damn mosquitoes tho 😭
As observed by your 100 mile wilderness success, beauty, shock and amazement of the rewarding views supersedes the merciless experience of roots, rocks, bugs, heat, rain and water. Bravo to the triumph of high achievement👏🏻 Wishing you happiness and pleasant thoughts to ponder.
Glad there was no serious injury with the fall in the river, you are almost done, enjoy that summit day!
Blisters. I was in blister city from hiking the Harper Track in New Zealand. The worst of it was the rocky river plain. There was no flat surfaces. The feet inside the boots was pushing against all sides from left to right and forward and back. Each morning for the first half hour, after slipping on my boots, was the worst. So yea, I can relate, but blisters under the toenail. Well, that's a whole different realm that I've not nor hope to experience. Grit and bare is the theme.
I propose you post a close up picture of the thigh bruise and present us with a contest of who can come the closest in naming a country its shape is similar to.
From the Wizard of Oz we have that memorable line, "Lions, tigers, and bears. Oh my." With a bit of alteration, we now have, from Stella describing the 100-mile wilderness, "The roots, the rocks, the waters. Oh my."

Always enjoyed your summaries. Can’t believe it’s just one or two more days….
@@sanman8359 Thanks. The question that comes to mind is what are we to do without our daily dose of Stella. I knew this would come but I'm not ready for it. You?
@@MichaelPower212 My thoughts as well! Not ready at all….
Hard to watch some of this - but better knowing that you have your victory! Great hiking Stella
Who's sarah?
Congratulations . Years ago I climbed Mt Katahdin. It is a great climb. I was totally out of shape. You will have a great time.
Can’t wait to see you stand on that sign!❤
Sweet ! You two made it thru 😊
Some people climb Mt Katahdin northbound then turn and start their southbound journey. Can you imagine!?
I know! Brutal….
Congratulations!
I thought we had big mosquitos in MN but those are monsters!
She changed her shoes before going into the forest. That might have cased the blisters.
I know you made glad the other two trails are so much better
Wow that mud looks worse than “Vermud” good job navigating today. Almost there!
It seems Leffe spent little energy on outwardly expressing his trail misery.
I wonder whether he was in the scouts or the military.
Congratulations go out to Coyote👏👏👏
HI 👋
HAVE YOU SEEN THE SOCKS WITH TOES IN THEM / LIKE GLOVES FOR YOUR HANDS INSTEAD MITTENS ! I'VE HEARD THEY HELP WITH BLISTERS ON YOUR TOES ? BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR ADVENTURE !
The Rainbow Stream Lean-to still has the 2 log setup as AT96 to cross the stream…. Does the Lean-to still have the baseball bat floor style?
Leffe made me misty eye
Me too.❤
Me too!
Maine is famous for its black flies. (They bite too.) Do you know if the bugs are mosquitos or black flies?
How many days did Coyote take ?
100 mile - check
It’s been a long hard journey, and some emotion is way understandable!1
. . . You'd do better to wait for a good day. Katahdin can be bad in weather. Best Wishes to you, as you finish . . . 'The Gran Hajj' . . . Congrats!
Same foot profile as me
This thru hike will make you a triple crowner? Right?
She has to finish the CDT
How do you charge her phone?
She carries battery packs.
Stella, one question regarding the bugs your are complaining so much. Do you use bug spray like Deet or something else to protect yourself or does all bug spray don‘t help at all?
Leffe is such a better hiking partner than Tally.
Dogs run free, so why can't I?
Your feet are more important than your upper body. Your feet take all the abuse from your weight the weight of your pack the abuse from shoes that are worn down or don’t fit and the feet are abused 100 fold with every grueling step you take
Could you have been bitten by a tick and developed Lyme's Disease? You have many of the symptoms. Sometimes people get bitten, don't realize it and scratch off the tick without ever realizing it. You should go be checked.
For the briefest moment I thought you had six toes on the left foot! Wanted to say “Hallo. My name is Inigo Montoya. You stepped on my father. Prepare to die!
LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE. YOU'RE NOT A TEENAGER MENTAL CASE
Did not notice…..guess we get what we focus on in life…
Imagine complaining about this same thing over a week ago and still being here 😂😂😂 calm down bro and go somewhere else
I shoot straight some of you people coddle her too much
@@johnromanyzyn2428 A person who has walked ~5 million steps over 14 states, crossing rivers, mountains, and all kinds of obstacles, while overcoming physical and emotional challenges does not need any “coddling” from anybody. She can walk circles around you and all of us …. and still have time to create, edit, and post youtube videos about it….. including a segment about folks having delusions about straight shooting….:-)
@@sanman8359not including all her other thruhikes.
Please, please, please stop complaining 🤯
Well, it's a little late now to ask her to stop complaining! If she complains tomorrow I'll agree with you.
Aren’t you complaining about her? 🙄
@@robinfinehout1160 who? Stella or Teresa? Just being facetious about complaining on the penultimate day, what's that going to do, stop Stella complaining on the last day?course she's been repeating this over the last couple weeks so why not get one more dig in. The latter I guess I would expect Stella to be in a terrific albeit tired mood ascending Katahdin, I would be surprised if she complained tomorrow. (I would think she'd be in a great mood)
@@jamesturnage2405 no, the other comment about her complaining. I would seriously be complaining at this point! She’s long gone anyway, probably back in Florida. I think these are all on timed release for 7:00 am ET, having been edited a while ago.
