  • I tried to learn about the Daytona 500 race and share it here - I hope you enjoy! There is a lot more to this subject, if you like this let me know and I may need to do some follow up videos. I’m a little nervous about this one tbh, hopefully I didn’t go too far wrong. This is an ASMR Style video to help distract your busy mind.
Thanks for watching, liking, and commenting!

I have turned off mid-roll ads (these are the ads that pop up in the middle of videos and help earn money for creators)- if you appreciate this and want to financially support my time and effort please consider hitting the “thanks” ❤️ button above.

NASCAR hasn't done themselves any favors in making this stuff easy to understand. Actually they've been making things more complicated, like stages and the playoffs, recently lmao

Love the variety of topics that you cover. The UA-cam algorithm needs to be promoting this channel more

IL do explanation of the flags. The green is go it is super obvious. The yellow is there was a crash, weather or debris and need to slow down into the positions they were in on the track. The red is u need to stop immediately there has been a serious crash or bad weather or the need to stop to do repair work on the track. The black means someone needs to either do a pass through under green which means u have to go through the pits or u need to repair your car for safety reasons. The blue flag means the lead lap cars are coming up to u and they are faster and u need to let them past. The white flag means it is the final lap. I don't need to explain the checkered flag it's really explanatory. I hope that clears some stuff up.

The caution flag is flown when their is a wreck or debris of the track. During a caution, laps are still driven. The pace car comes out to the front to control the speed. During a caution you can not try to gain a position in the race but if you are a lap down you are allowed to pass the pace car, just not at a high speed. If a caution is out near the end of the race, it goes into overtime where laps are added. The red flag goes out when it starts to rain. It signals for the vehicles to head to pit road and park in pit lane. Also the drivers know what there supposed to do because they have a crew of spotters telling them for example to go high or low and if there is a flag out. The driver has constant communication during the race with the crew chief who relays information from spotters.

The relief I had from when when you realized the race was not 500 laps 😂

I grew up watching nascar with my dad and grandpa and this brought me back to when my grandpa taught me what everything means. Was very nice to bring back those memories😊
