- When you export an SVG of an applique for the Cricut Maker to cut out, Cricut Design space does not capture the correct size. In this video I show you a simple way to manually transfer the correct size into Cricut Design Studio.
Excellent example, thank you. Really appreciate that it was short and to the point, exactly what I was looking for. 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
best one on the internet....thanks for sharing
The best video so far on how to explain this, I have seen many trying to understand how to convert from Embrilliance to my Cricut Maker, this was Great !!! Thank you
Great job! Thank you for this tutorial. Which embroidery machine do you have?
Thanks! I have the Brother PE770.
Do you need to adjust the size to be a little bigger?
Sometimes, yes. It depends on the design.
Thank you😊would you say only a few mm?
@@lauripickos2006 yes, just a few mm. You can always print out in paper and use that as a test so you don’t waste your fabric :)
I never thought of this ... do you use heat bond?
No I place the fabric directly on the Cricut mat. I have a Cricut Maker which uses a rotary blade for cutting so no bonding is necessary. I think you do have to use bonded fabric on the other Cricut machines though.
@@duzins thanks I will try this .. I have the maker as well . Keep up the awesome work
What about if he design has multiple layers of appliqué that overlap? How do you get them to cut out on the cricut?
It should work the same way, if you want me to walk you through it, let me know the design and I’ll take a peek.
Thank you a very good video. In it you mention that you used adhesive to place the appliqué on the shirt . What did you use ? Is adhesive spray sufficient or is something like heat n bond light necessary ?
I used adhesive spray.
I’m sorry so many questions but my computer doesn’t allow me to save as svg just a jpeg? Is there something I’m missing? I appreciate your help and patience.
No problem! I have to use Silouette Studio to save as SVG. It’s $99. I think there are some free converters on the web but if you are going to use this a lot I recommend Siloutte. You can take the SVG, either way, and bring it right into Cricut software.
What version do you have? I have enthusiast and stitch artist 1 and I don’t have the options you’re showing😔
I’m not at my computer right now but I can check tomorrow and let you know :)
I have Embrilliance 1.168.
